Went in last Thursday 4/10 to open an account . The banker Juan who was late to our 4 o'clock appointment by 5 minutes, We Opened a joint account but i Was told we get the cards in mail & take 2-3 days businesses days . Well 6 business days latter I had to call bank and ask about my card and was told it wasn't process until 4/11 and was told it take until 4/22 to arrive (if not lost) and was told 2-3 days they do a 5$ charge for a "fast delivery". Then I was told the price would increase latter in the next upcoming month ... so if it doesn't come in I have to go back to bank and order a new one.. so be cautious of how this bank operates. Venmo would have cleared my funds faster than Chase. 1 star for the nice teller who kinda helped me. 7 day hold on a Wells Fargo payroll check from San Diego county's largest employer then giving me a private office to call customer service to release the funds; 0 stars. The ATMs are always out of order or slow. It would be nice if they would work but it is never guaranteed so it causes long waits

I have to come here often to make a business deposit. Tellers are very friendly and quick on their service. I usually get Alejandra, Pauline, or Lidia. They are great and treat you with respect. I don't have Chase bank due to my opinion on banks, but they do a great job here overall. read more

Juan Garcia is the best! He's helped me numerous times with business and personal accounts as well as mortgages. He is always friendly and professional and is also tenacious. Today my son was trying to move his custodial account into Chase College Checking online but couldn't do it from his computer - a firewall or something was throwing off the Chase system. Most bankers would've just given up, but Juan figured out a way to get this done. And this is just one of the many times he's helped sort out an issue. Anyone who knows me knows I work for the company but I'm in technology and have nothing to do with branches or their systems. Anyways this is the branch I do all my San Diego banking at. The tellers are always helpful and very friendly. A few times over the year my mother will 'owe' me money and she goes right in here, gives them my account number, and the money magically appears in my account in seconds. She'll come home and call me to rave about the excellent service and no lines that WaMu has. I haven't convinced her to change banks yet but at least she too agrees with me that this branch is great. read more

My mother went in to do a transaction on my behalf. She began not to feel well and knew she couldn't make it upstairs to their restroom, seeing that there was one downstairs, she asked the guy that was working near there if she could use it. Of course he said NO. I get that you have a possible rule of a customer going upstairs instead of using the executive ones, but I' sure that out of the kindness of your heart you could have made an exception. Just some common courtesy. I work as a Manager and rules can be broken to accommodate. I hope when get older and need help that someone will be nice and say, "Of course". read more

I have been banking with chase for years. Never had any rude service or a bad experience here. I mean with chase in general not this particular location. The only downsize I have is the $12 monthly fee if you don't have a direct deposit of $500 a month. And I once over calculated my account. And overdrafted $5 I got charged $34 dollars. But other than that I get a portion. of my paycheck allotted to my checking account, and it covers the $500 a month limit so I don't get charged $12 a month. this is the WORST WAMU (or Chase) out of them all. we opened our accounts there about 5 years ago. They never have enough cashiers, the parking sucks, and the ATM is always breaking. i'm glad we moved, so i dont have to drive to Chula if i need to do any banking. and going to the one in Chula off H, is awful with the armed guard and the security door. read more

I hate THIS WaMu. a while back I tried to open an account, back when checking was free (so were ATM). They did NOT allow me to open a "free" checking account unless I opened a savings account, with a minimum $25 monthly transer, and a $7 maintenance fee... wtf. Instead I went to a different location, and was able to open my free checking with $1 no savings account necessary. Things may have changed, but I never walk in to this location, ATM is fine enough to deal with. read more

I went to Chase to get a loan on a house out of stae, I per qualified for $200,000 but only needed $95,000. I have a savings with them of over a $100,000. The house was bought by the seller as a flip and was clear with deed in hand. I contacted the seller to finish paperwork for the sale and sent escrow fees to their agent. Called Chase to start the loan paperwork. I get a call from them a few days later they would have to wait 90 days for the loan because they have a policy on flips to hold off for 90 days? I called the seller and advise him of the problem he didn't understand it but he'd hold on and wait but it would cost $1000 a month! I called the bank and told the loan officer I would be right down to talk to him about this. Well he wasn't in he was at another bank. A bank employee help by calling him and he called back in about 20 min. told me he would try to put it through again, I told him this was going to be a 2nd home not a filp. Well to cut thus short I was told if I wanted to continue with the loan I'd have to put up a "$500 good fath money" even though I have a saving of $100.000 them? FYI I got my loan for $95,000 from another bank now I'm closing my saving with Chase, now they lose the loan and interest but also the use of my savings! read more

I banked at this location when it was a WAMU and most of the same staff stayed on when it became a Chase bank. Everyone is always friendly and they bend over backwards to make sure they take care of any problem that I have. This is a great bank and some of the other branches could probably learn a thing or two from them. read more

Poor customer service. I went there to open an account for my 9 year old son. I called ahead and they said he needed passport and social security number. With passport and SSN in hand we signed in as there was a wait to see a rep. Right behind us was a Philippine couple (my son is philippine) a service rep approached me (a Philippine) and stated "Frank" would help us and turned to help the philippine coupe behind me. I said aren't we next and she said Oh Frank will help you. I said why can't you were next she says well I have to go somewhere. Ok I guess I was mistaken. She then says well come on in I'll help you until someone else can. We sit down and she is cordial then another service rep (Jacqueline) comes in and says I'll help you. We go to her cube. While in there I notice the firsts rep helping the Philippine couple that was behind me. The hispanic rep tells me in addition to the passport and SSN I need a green card for my son. Looking at the the requirements I notice if he is an illegal alien he only need a form 13 and electric bill. I say so it's easier for an illegal alien to get an account than someone with legal residence? She says no a form 13 is difficult to get. Well if your an illegal alien here it doesn't matter how hard it is to get (it's not) your still illegal. Not very smart or helpful at this bank. read more
