I visited the Chase Bank in La Habra and asked the banker for new, crisp $100 bills. The banker immediately told me that Chase hasn't issued new $100 bills for the past three years and that they had none available. This explanation didn't make sense, especially because my husband was able to exchange for new $100 bills at another Chase branch just last month during a business trip. When I pointed this out, the banker suddenly turned to a colleague and asked if they had any -- and then gave me the new bills. It turns out they did have them all along. I understand that due to graduation season, availability might be limited. But what truly frustrated me was not the lack of crisp bills -- it was the lack of honesty and transparency from the start. Instead of simply explaining the situation or checking with a colleague, I was given what felt like a made-up excuse. Only after I pressed the issue did they take action. This kind of customer service is unacceptable, especially from a bank like Chase. As a long-time customer, I expect straightforward and respectful treatment -- not evasiveness and misleading information. Chase needs to do better. read more

I came in with a check drawn on a Chase account, offered valid ID, endorsement in person, and to pay any non-customer cashing fee. The branch refused, stating they 'could not verify funds,' yet made no effort to contact the issuer or explain what part of the process was not possible. I went to this Chase Bank in La Habra on Imperial Hwy between Idaho St and Beach Blvd. I went there Fri Jan 24th around 2:00 pm. I got in line for the teller windows when a women came over and said she could take my deposit at which appears to be for businesses as it's at the front when you walk in with a glass partition and you sit down on a chair. I was making a deposit where I had 2 checks with a total of 98 cents so I put 2 cents on the deposit slip so I could deposit an even amount which is easer to add. When she saw the 2 pennies she said she would have to look at my ID so I had to give her my drivers license while she looked at the 2 pennies. This is the height of stupidity and I hope someone in the management of Chase Bank will discuss this matter with her. I won't be going to that branch again. read more

I went to the ATM at the branch to deposit money it took my money rejected one of my bills and didn't give me a receipt now I have to wait for them to resolve it and I'm out of my money til it's resolved, not willing to give me partial credit although I'm a chase customer. I was extremely disappointed with their customer service this morning. I was 15 minutes late to my 9 am appointment but when I arrived to the bank there weren't any other customers. They told me to wait to see if I could be helped. An Asian family arrived - they didn't have an appointment but they were helped immediately by an Asian Chase employee. Their son needed to open a credit card. I was there because my teenage son needed to open a bank account. I told them I was in a hurry and after 10 minutes someone from the back comes out to tell me they didn't have anyone to assist me and the wait would be long. I didn't even wait and rushed out. I've been with Chase for one 25 years and I'm not sure of recommending this bank to my kids. The La Habra branch has terrible service! I've only been here 3-4 times and each time I come I'm disappointed!!!! Please train your employees to be more customer friendly!!!! read more

If you need to talk to a "banker" DON'T waste your time coming to this bank. Customer service was horrible. Went in wasn't greeted by anyone. After we sat there a man asked us what we needed we told him he said let me see who is available. I counted 5 "bankers" ONE was actually w a client the other ones were so busy on their computer. So then a guy comes talks to us comes back and says we had to come back or make appt. So made appt for same day at 4 pm. Went back and sat there again and guy comes up asked who we were waiting for and we said we weren't given a name just appt. There was another guy waiting and he said I have appt w Josh. Guy said I'm Josh so he told us let me check who can help you and walked to desk w the guy and never came back. There is always something wrong with these ATM machines! Always down for one reason or another! Deposits can't be made or updates are being done! They have convenient drive thru machines but what good are they if you still have to park and walk inside! My husband and I were in the area and we decided to re-open our chase savings account. After we spoke to a rep in the bank, she informed us we would have to create a new account since the old one closed automatically due to non activity. The rep was very courteous and efficient with the whole enrollment process. The bank was busy but all the staff members were attentive to those waiting in line for service and apologized for the wait. Very nice location and will come back if I am ever in the area. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I had a squirmy toddler and was hoping to be in and out. Since my hands were full I figured going to a live teller would be faster than a kiosk. 2 tellers at the windows, one was helping a woman.. the other available male teller with eyebrows that were too well groomed was typing away on his computer. I kept staring at him, waiting for him to signal me to come up to the window... Nothing. I got fed up waiting and yep... A kiosk was faster... When I asked to speak with a supervisor she hung up on me. I am closing all of my accounts today. They also promised me a safe deposit box but refused to honor that when I went in. My investment broker at this bank made an unauthorized stock purchase, knowing I was adamantly opposed to stocks (only annuities. ) Then, before I realized it was a stock purchase, he reinvested the dividends back into the stock instead of my checking account. Also,, he told me I could not exit the account. I called JP Morgan. They exited me, but charged me many thousands to do so, hauling in more money. The client is never "right" , although my papers proved I was. I filed a complaint with Finra. Never again with Chase or JP Morgan. Experience was so horrible. read more

Today I was "help" by a new lady that insisted on having me to show my ID over a cash deposit, I told her that I didn't have it with me and that I do this same deposit rutine every day and never before was I asked to present a ID. I mean it's not even a personal account! It's the business where I work account. She was very rude an insisted on not taking my money if I didn't show an ID. I had to tell her to call the manager, hold up the line by the way, and wait another 15 min until the manage finally arrived and give the ok. I'm writing a review on this location on top of trying to call to speak with a manager but my call was just ignored. I am a starting small business owner and wanted to go open up a business checking account since I already have a personal checking account and credit card with chase. I waited for about 7-10 minutes before being called. A young woman took me to the sales desk in which the lady that was helping me named Christy was on the phone, rudely hung up like we were interrupting and asked us what we needed help with. She did not ask me or my boyfriend for our names nor introduced herself. It wasn't until the end I asked for her name because I knew I would be complaining about her. I told her I was interested and had some questions about a business checking account. She replied, "like what do you want to know?" Weeeellll um the breakdown of each business checking group duh. She made no small talk and made us feel very awkward being at her desk. She then printed the information for me handed me the folder and I said thanks and left. Being a first time business owner this is NOT the type of service or person I would want handling my finances. Or speaking to on occasion when I drop it. Let me bring the stars up. I've been here for 5-6 times and all of the staffs were so courteous. Never met with any rude or unprofessional staffs ever. I went in this bank expecting to resolve a long over due problem. I spoke with a Rep "Andrea" not sure of name in regards of my pink slip never got sent to me, now my car has been paid off since 2016 its 2019. Have not recieved this and not sure as to why. So here i thought that she can help me with my question. She said she would call me back when she did. Ok 2 days pass i heard from her voicemail and she gave me a number 562.690.5071 well that number didnt work. I had no extension number nothing for it to go through so it just rang and hung up. They probably didnt set it up so i got another number 562.691.2226 and this number rings and rings and tells you the tellers are busy so try again. So i did it took me about 10 mins to get someone on the phone. Then i talked to the branch manager Jim. He said he knew of my problem and that he would get back to. I said ok but the number that you call from is not a working number can you leave a direct number to you. He said yes. I couldnt pick up he left a number surprise its the same nuber that doesnt work. So now its been about 2 weeks of me trying to get a hold of the bank. Figuring out what time is the best time ive tried calling during lunch hour nothing calling for 10 mins to 15 mins. I finally got through Jim answered my question and now a waiting game. Ive been in the customer service industry for over 10 years i know the deal, pressure etc that it comes with. So what i dont a understand is if there is an issue and you have not heard back from your client then its common sense that you do a follow up and actually get a hold of your client in regards of their issue. But in this case the branch manager did not see it being important to follow up with me and leave a working number or even what he later suggested his email. If he knows his a busy guy that should have been the first thing to leave an email and phone #. So days pass got some papers but no pink slip. They stated that they would send my paper work to dmv. Out of all the many banks I've been to, they have the very worst service of all! I came in to see a personal banker so I wrote my name on the sign-in sheet. 45 MINUTES later I checked back to see what's going on only to find out they've already crossed my name out! What the heck?? There are only a few chairs inside and 3 of them were on the other side of the room. I sat on the other side because that was the only empty seat. I figured there would be no problem for me to sit there because first of all, this location is too dang small (it's not like I can seat anywhere else when they have like 5 chairs in total), second of all, it's literally next to the cubicles. So the girl or whoever called my name, in no doubt "whispered" my name ONCE and didn't even try to scope out the room! And you would expect they would at least call you twice or thrice before going on to the next person listed, but NO! Zero effort was given at this exact moment. Not to mention they already have a bad overall review to start with, so do yourself a favor and go to a different location. read more

I rarely have to go inside the bank but had to go in on Wednesday to get some documents. I didn't have an appointment and knew I would have to wait I'm ok with that. However what I'm not ok with is after waiting for almost an hour for my turn banker attending to another couple who just walked in because they looked like they had more money than me !!!! I seriously love this branch! I just switched from Bank of America to chase and am very pleased! Andrea Rios the personal banker who helped me open my account was phenomenal!!! She even offered me a variety of different accounts that would be best for me as well as a very cool Disney card instead of the basic blue card. A couple of days later she called me to make sure everything was good with my account! The tellers there are so nice and friendly! As a regular there, they always address me by my name before I walk to the window. My two tellers that usually help me are Brianna and Sean. They always provide me with the best service! This is a big jump from the bad service I used to get at Bank of America! The rest of the staff is also very friendly when I walk in. Keep up the good work!!!! :) read more

WORST BANKER EVER. CANNOT GET ANYTHING RIGHT. Went to Chase La Habra for personal banking, Irena help us. She got my husband's name wrong, we corrected her. Got the our safe deposit box number wrong, we corrected her. Expedited our check order since we are leaving soon, Irena somehow managed to get the names on the check wrong. By this point I'm actually amazed by how Chase managed to hire someone so incompetent. Honest advice, avoid Irena at all cost. She will mess everything up. read more

I am closing all of my accounts at this bank this week. This branch used to be excellent but a recent change in both staff and management has transformed this branch into the pit of hell. Saturday I stopped by to deposit a check and found a panhandler, Mexican woman with a kid in a stroller, camped outside the front door harassing everyone entering or leaving the bank, or approaching the ATM machine for money. After telling her to get lost she began following me around the parking lot. Amazing that no one in the bank seemed to notice nor care. This bank has absolutely no interest in security concerns, customer service, or safety and I will be reporting this incident formally to the FDIC. read more

I've been a member of a chase for years, back when it was Washington mutual. I banked at the chase Cerritos for years which is an awesome bank and started banking at this location when I moved to the area a few years ago. I have rarely experienced long lines and the service is always extremely friendly and professional. I've also gotten papers motorized here and they always manage to squeeze me in fast and are really nice. I've seen Chris a couple of times and he is really nice and helpful as well. read more

Kudos to this branch for finally removing the Pentagon-like security system that used to be in place here. While security is certainly important, that system was an overkill and very intimidating to customers. This branch is now very much more convenient and accessible!
