I dreaded going to this Chase branch when I used to live a few blocks down from here. It's a convenience only if you live nearby or luckily secured nearby parking off of a busy intersection. I would usually come here for the ATM, but on two separate occasions, the ATM didn't take my $100 bills. I panicked thinking it was counterfeit, but when I went to deposit them at another branch, the ATM accepted them. Guessing they were machine glitches, and it happens, but of course I dreaded the inconvenience of going to another ATM for some simple deposits. read more

This bank sucks they authorized double payments switch to Wells Fargo better someone you can trust. Got charged $1,500 and they say they can't do anything about it. I have it set up if there's no money in the account the payments will not go through. Now I'm over drafted with no money and nothing I can do about it. I had the most horrible experience this afternoon as I approached the cashier and she told me your account has been closed and $15000 that was in there is gone. I have had an account with this bank for over 20 years and they didn't give me the courtesy of a phone call to let me know that they are closing my business account (because they don't have enough information about my business). So they took the liberty of closing my account without calling or emailing me, cutting a check and mailing it to me without letting me know and when they told me that the money is gone I thought somebody went in there and physically cleared my account and I almost had a panic attack. I am pulling everything out of my savings checking and business credit cards and going to do business with a different bank. The last place on Earth that you need stress from is your bank where you trust to keep all your hard earned money in. read more

This review is for this location only. If I could rate Chase bank itself, my review would vaccilate between 1 to 3 stars. At this location though: Great customer service! I needed to replace a lost/stolen debit card and was in and out in less that five minutes! I couldn't believe it. Everyone was so nice and helpful, especially Mo, the guy who helped print my new card. If you work in the area and need to get any banking done during your lunch hour, I'd highly recommend coming to this location. And then withdraw some cash and treat yourself to a mochi ice cream at the Japanese Village Plaza next door. read more

First of all I'm ecstatic that this branch opened in Little Tokyo! So close to home! I can now bike to my bank! Secondly, I was completely confused to see a fully automated system with no teller when I deposited my checks. Luckily Mo B (If I got your name wrong I'm sorry) was working! He was very helpful and patient in helping me use this new system. I was pretty confused and in awe of how technology has progressed. So glad to have a helping hand! The branch is clean, organized and has great customer service! The only negative is there is no parking lot. There is a loading zone directly across Chase (so if you have a friend you're lucky). Street parking is available all around but it's always hard to find a spot in Little Tokyo. Worst case scenario there are a number of parking garages around for a fee of course. I use a bike to go to DTLA so I'll be back for sure! read more

I stopped into this branch on my lunch break today to talk to a banker about opening a new checking account. I'd been a Chase checking customer previously and decided I wanted to open an account again. I only waited about 2 minutes before speaking with Mo, an excellent banker that made the process very easy! The entire process took about 45 minutes, but I left with all of my account information, a debit card, and a few checks to get started. Mo even gave me a little info on opening up an IRA account. The branch itself is fairly small, but feels more welcoming & less overwhelming than previous branches I've been in. I'd definitely recommend this branch to anyone! read more

Went to go on my way home from work, about 6:30 am on a (technically) Sunday..... And there is a homeless person just sleeping inside the lobby. This is actually the third time I have seen this. I guess it is best I just go during open hours apparently. I've actually been in during hours... The people are great. Lines can get long, and it seems not a lot of people know they can use both atm terminals, but eh. I'm a little torn because of the fact that people just bypass the 'security' of getting in and then just sleep inside. I would reconsider my bank, but I am moving again in a few months anyways. read more

sometimes in life, couple cocktails in, we realize that somehow, in-between flirting, catching up, and meeting new people, our card mysteriously vanishes. then we wake up in a hot mess stupor and groan because we really should get this situation figured out, though we hate going to a bank and having them tell us we need to wait 3-5 business days. well. here's what happened: I walked in, told them I lost/misplaced my card, showed my ID, punched in my social security number into a fancy black clandestine seeking device, waited 1 minute, socialized and got to know the bankers there (they're all smart, nice, and younger and seem to enjoy being there), got handed a new, shiny card with the same number, smiled, and got started with my day. Chase is utilizing technology way ahead of every other bank out there. I can deposit up to $2,000 checks through my phone, receive a new card on the spot, and enjoy the bank experience. like like like. thanks for starting my morning on an awesome way. read more

I guess I'm old school..... I like people. I don't like machines and an empty bank with no service . 10 people waiting , no tellers as they want you to "bank" using the machines. Your Atm card is supposed to be linked to everything .... Has anyone heard of the Sony hack? Ok...I only like to link the account that I want to get money from . The workers have to run to the back to get cash and deposit a check .... Ridiculous. At least give people the option to talk with a human that can actually give you cash and answer a question that a machine can't . Is there some machine I can email a complaint to?? All chase banks are horrible to first customers with new accounts. I had deposited a check from my employer and got a receipt letting me know that I wouldn't be able to use my funds until 10 days AFTER it was deposited. I am currently left broke and starving to death! No money for food, to pay bills, etc. I would have understood if I was a child with parents that was being taken care of. But I am an adult with a job and even then I was told that I was not trusted with funds I had placed. Horrible horrible service with all chase accounts. read more

Horrible. :( one teller. No actual divider or counter. They have two island stations with computers. The poor girl working here had to make one guy sit down and then she left me on the counter waiting just to make a simple cash deposit. This took a dreadful 20 minutes when there was no line. Very very odd I kept wondering if I was actually in a bank. With all of the money chase has, you think they could do better. I personally use a credit union. It is always something with this branch. The lack of organization in the setup tends to always result in a wait that far exceeds what you find at most branches. I'm a solid 0-7 in getting in and getting what I need quickly and efficiently. Do yourself a favor and use one of the other downtown locations, you will save a ton of time. read more

After my last experience, I regret coming to this location... I even regret banking with Chase and I am seriously considering closing my accounts with them and sticking to Bank of America! This is the closest Chase bank to me, a little inconvenient, but I like to make my deposits in person. The lines can get pretty long... they take forever to assist you. It was my mistake for trusting the teller Mo H. I came with a deposit which I was about to count, but he insisted on using the machine to count the money. I asked him if it was accurate and he said 100% accurate. He ran the money through twice and we both saw the amount. Then he proceeded to hand the money to a teller in the back. (You can't see what is going on back there.) After 30 minutes he comes out and says the amount is actually lower than the first 2 times he ran it through the machine. So basically some of my money disappeared and he couldn't do anything. He said his manager would audit the teller's cash and try to see if there's a discrepancy. Seriously, how is a bank this unprofessional with people's money? Anyway, they have yet to follow-up with me. I've called the bank a few times and they have yet to respond.... I would NOT recommend bringing your cash here and trusting the tellers with your money. A lot of mistakes are being made and they are not taking responsibility. read more

This is the WORST bank to date! I opened a simple checking account last week, put money in it, then just received my DEBIT card today. I called to activate it and they tell me they canceled my account completely!! They wouldn't even give me a reason why! This bank is so messed up because they told me to go ahead and stop using other bank and transfer direct deposit to them instead so NOW I have to wait to get a cashiers check from chase with the money I had in account annnnd set up a bank account with another bank ALL OVER AGAIN! read more

I really think this is the way bank branches should go from now on, why the need for mega big spaces when you can accomplish virtually the same functions without all the wasted space. Theres one teller in an enclosed window, and three atm machines, and one outside customer service agent to help you with those atm machines. This branch will jerk you around and you'll end up paying out of pocket even though they claim that they will "validate" your parking. The lobby is comparable to a bazaar in a third world country with no line and multiple people coming to ask me if I was helped, and trying to steer me towards their ATMs. I'm quite familiar with an ATM machine and if thats what I wanted to use, I wouldn't be waiting in a lobby looking for some human interaction. If you have a cash transaction, they run off with your ID and ATM card into the back room, doing god know what. The branch manager is not at all accommodating and is quite frankly rude. I would recommend going to the other downtown locations, especially if you are looking to open new accounts. You've been warned! read more
