I went to cash a check and it was processed without confirming my intent. When I was told I could only deposit it due to not having enough funds in my account, I clearly said no -- I was only trying to cash the check. Despite this, they ran the check through anyway and then stamped it, compounding the error. Because of that stamp, the check can no longer be cashed anywhere else and is now only usable for deposit at Chase. This became clear after I attempted to cash the check at Walmart, where I was told it should never have been stamped and therefore could not be cashed. I went to a second Walmart and received the same response. When I raised the issue at the original Chase branch, I was told that this was "normal procedure" and that they had done nothing wrong -- which is shocking. Running a check without first confirming whether it can be cashed, and then "correcting" that error by stamping it, should not be considered normal procedure. To get further clarification, I went to another Chase branch, where I was again told that stamping the check is standard procedure. However, this was also the first time I was told they "do not know how other places operate," which is equally concerning and highlights a lack of awareness of the real-world impact on customers. They are effectively turning checks into trash everywhere else, making them only depositable with Chase unless the customer already has sufficient funds available in their account. To avoid this situation altogether, the bank should confirm whether a check can be cashed and avoid stamping it entirely unless the customer explicitly authorizes a deposit. This entire situation is the result of Chase's actions, yet the customer is the one left dealing with the consequences. I also contacted Chase customer service, who apologized and acknowledged the issue. It appears this branch is operating mechanically rather than thoughtfully, indicating a need for additional training and process improvement. The representatives words. i like my bank (most of the time) it has a lot to offer me as a bank client, PS: but really if i find a better bank i'd probably drop them quick. never had a single issue with them til i made a big purchase (20k) and they froze my account while in a different state and it took 48 hours and many many many long phone calls with over 20 different bank associated to unfreeze my money. read more

Customer service here is extremely trash specifically the bankers. Dont acknowledge your presence, sit in empty cubicles alone clearly not working on anything else, don't smile, this branch is the worst. You would think a dying service industry in which technology is clearly taking over you'd have more eager individuals to assist you to prove the man versus machine argument in human favor but clearly that isn't the case here. Horrible customer experience. I do everything online and on the app . The day I needed to come in. All the representatives on the platform were on their cell phones . Laughing amongst each other instead of helping out customers. . There was only 2 customers waiting . It took 1 hour to be seen because all employees were too busy on their respective phones . Do employees at this location get paid to work ? Or be on their phone ? A robber could of came in , stole everything, but they were too busy on their cell phones . There was only one employee working . I asked to speak to a manager . The manager was on vacation. So all the employees were taking advantage that the manager was out. I asked for supervisor or manager . They gave a relationship banker card. She was the primary one on her cell phone laughing . The relationship banker name was Andrea Villanueva . I'm sure some of you would think this would be a sketchy area when it gets dark and the ATMs are on the street side. During traffic hours, read the signs if you are going to park on the street right in front to use the ATMs as traffic tries to run you through when you shouldn't be stopping there in the first place. Just be aware of your surroundings even if it's still light out. read more

Wish I could give a rating of 0 stars. Went to open account to take advantage of the $300 bonus by being a new customer opening a total checking account, was misled into only providing me the coupon code for $150. When I went back in to have to correct the issue, I was told "what is done, is done" and I would have to wait 12 calendar months to be considered for the offer again. So much for taking a chance on switching banks to Chase. I am now in the process to close all accounts with Chase and stay with Wells Fargo. It is unfortunate that $150 is more important to a multi-billion dollar bank than new customers. read more

I came in to cash my check and ended up opening an account. The service from Laura Rojo was expedient and effortless. I was in and out within 30 minutes. The staff was friendly and in particular the manager Elizabeth Ramirez was courteous. She told me that they would return the check cashing fee since I ended up opening my account. All in all, the bank is pretty old and only has 3 tellers so maybe an upgrade is due to move more faster. Other than that this branch serves its purpose. I look forward to banking with Chase for many years to come. read more

All chase banks are horrible to first customers with new accounts. I had deposited a check from my employer and got a receipt letting me know that I wouldn't be able to use my funds until 10 days AFTER it was deposited. I am currently left broke and starving to death! No money for food, to pay bills, etc. I would have understood if I was a child with parents that was being taken care of. But I am an adult with a job and even then I was told that I was not trusted with funds I had placed. Horrible horrible service with all chase accounts. read more

This place is a total time suck. They have absolutely no respect for your time. After waiting 40min for a "banker" to open an account I couldn't wait any longer and left. You would think with all the fees they charge they hire faster more capable employees and management so as to not waste their customers time. I have been Chase for many years but this branch is by far the worst I have been. I arrived there was only 2 people in line - me and another one while 1 customer is being attended by the teller while we wait. There was only 1 teller which was okay but then few minutes later the line started to get longer but still you can see 2 lady staff and 1 male staff just talking by the cubicle outside. I know they can see and they know but they waited for these teller to waive to them and signal that she needs another one. REALLY! i guess one of the lady is the manager since she has a different uniform just standing near the door and talking to another staff instead of providing customer service to the people in line. read more

This place has the slowest moving lines ever. I try to come during my lunch break and there is always 1 cashier...on a good day there are 2. Always has more than 10 ppl in line. They should really have more tellers and perhaps a better manager to help customers with their needs. Absolute worst. Avoid this place. Even worse, when you ask someone who is just sitting at their desk doing NOTHING..they say they cant help you... such a joke. Would give them a zero star if possible. AWFUL. read more

Told the manager Elizabeth that I deposit around 125k per week and would like a back room to count the cash. She said I would have to get in line with everyone else and flash my money in the front. I said I do not feel comfortable in that area flashing that much cash around. She said she will see what she can do and never called back. I called and left a message still no call back.
