This has been my home bank for 20 + years. Lots of changes but all for the best. Always best to get here early.

Horrible service. I have been to many Chase branches and never had any issues. I came here because I needed to order foreign currency. Upon ordering, I asked the teller about my pick up window. She informed me they could hold my currency for a month. It was a lie. Apparently, they only hold it for one week. They never called me to let me know my currency was available for pick up. Suddenly, I received a call saying that if I didn't pick it up in time, they would sell my currency back at the current rate. I was very upset because I was out of town. I verified the pick up time before I ordered because of this! Otherwise, I would have ordered when I came back... When I spoke to someone on the phone (from the airport while boarding my flight), they said they had a call log that someone called me about the pick up and then a second call about selling the currency back. I checked my phone multiple times and there were no initial calls or voicemails for pick up. The second call I did receive and got a voicemail for. On top of that, they updated their system to say "no ID" and when I asked what that meant, they told me that meant someone tried to pick up my money that day but did not have identification. I told her no one would have tried to pick up my money except for myself and, again, I did not know it was available for pick up. So all of it just seems shady. I will never come back here. This was super stressful and after begging the teller to make an extension exception on my currency, I was able to pick it up right after I flew back into town before their branch closed. Every time I come into this branch I'm greeted with great customer service. Today I received some thing in the mail that set apart Lourdes, and this branch from every other bank I've ever think that, or entered. A little backstory, I don't ever take my kids into the bank I always make sure I have accommodations for them but last month I did not have a choice and had to take and three toddlers with me. The line was long but each teller was doing their part and keeping the flow consistent. When I got to the teller, Lourdes saw how I was struggling a bit and gave each one of my babies a sticker which helped keep them calm so that we could finish my transaction. Today I checked my mail and received this thank you card along with additional stickers. When I tell you I am speechless, I am speechless! This is customer service that goes above and beyond is there a standard and I am so grateful that she thought about us! God bless you Lourdes!!! read more

Worst experience ever I've been a chase Customer for over 5 YEARS AND NEVER dealt with this type of behavior, DO NOT go to Zully Rojas , I felt uncomfortable and embarrassed in this Branch. I was isolated and made looked as sketchy as if I did something wrong when all I wanted was to deposit a money order. If I could give 0 I would specifically for the bank teller Vanessa. She was incredibly unfriendly and unnecessarily challenging just to deposit a check. The simplest request turned into a burdensome nightmare. She gave us so much trouble we just went to a different Chase location and were helped seamlessly and were in and out in 5 minutes. If I could give a negative review this would be it! Not because of one experience but over 10 occasions that I HAVE to be here. It's unfortunately the closest one to my home and the only branch in the area. They always have long lines and only ever have 2 tellers and 1 business account specialist, who is still trying to "learn" that position. Called multiple times and leave emails with no response. Some days they don't even have a business account specialist. Again I'm talking about many occasions and not just one. They need to hire more people!!!! read more

Chase locations, including this one are closed during business hours - with hastily hand-made signs in the window that say only "THIS LOCATION IS TEMPORARILY CLOSED". That's it. No reason why, nothing about when they will re-open, nothing directing you to the nearest available location. The business hours they have posted on Google state that they are open. Even better is when I've driven to three different locations all with the same result, so I call customer service to ask them what is going on and what location I might be able to use, and they have no idea that these locations are even closed; much less which ones are open. The representative says that the information she has in front of her is that the location is open and available. We'll, they aren't. The only suggestion they give is to call locations one by one to find out if they are open. Seriously? read more

This Chase must have some staffing problems or something because I went during lunch, which they should be prepared for, but they obviously were not. I went to see the account specialists, that sit at the desks, to open an account. I signed the waiting list and there was only 2 people ahead of me. Looking around I noticed there was only 1 representative at the desk helping someone already but I figured it wouldn't take long. Ummmmm it sure did. I waited 40mts before another representative finally appeared to help out the person next in line. By the time it was my turn it was almost a full hr before I was helped. Normally Chase is on top of customer service with short wait times but now I understand why this bank has such bad reviews and bad ratings....they don't put the customer's needs first. At least the representatives were nice even though they normally apologize for the long wait which they did not. This place does have a bathroom which was nice bc most banks don't have public restrooms that I've been to. Helped a lot during the looooooooong wait so I didn't have to leave and possibly lose my turn. I was just really surprised that they were not properly staffed for the lunch rush. The Chase on Plaza Blvd in National City has the worst customer service EVER. Their ATMS inside are NEVER working or out of money. What kind of bank let's their A run out of money? That's BS. I've been banking with Chase for many yrs now and Chase is the best. However, THIS particular location sucks. ALWAYS busy, long lines and only a few employees working. Customer services is OK. Ive had a couple bad experiences at this particular location. I lost my card and came in to order a new one and deposit a check. Transaction went smooth but the lady greeting by the entrance told me she would order my card so I wouldnt have to wait anymore. 10days had passed by, two weeks, even a month and no card in the mail. I chose to call customer service and cancelled my bank account, but kept my Liquid card. So time past by and one day I forgot my liquid card. I came into the branch to withdraw some money and they told me i couldnt get any cause they needed to run the card physically and they treat that account as a cash in advance when I had around $1,000 on it.. I mean u r telling ME i cant get MY MONEY when i have my DL and proper IDs but i CAN deposit without a card? A bunch of BS, im telling you! So if u come here come with lots of time in advance, and patience. Lots and lots of patience. Oh! N dont be afraid to call Customer Service if they cant help u out here.. By far the worst Chase bank in all of San Diego county! I work in the South Bay and for bank purposes this is the closest location to our company. I have been here a few times and the lines are always long it never fails. I have even resorted to purposely doing bank errands before I come into work or after at another branch close to my home. In some instances I do have to come here from time to time. There was a customer who actually asked the teller why is there only 2 people working when there is a long line waiting to get service, the teller replied not very reassuring apologized and said that for some reason or another they only have 2 tellers open. We all were visibly frustrated and the long sighs in line were a very big indicator Customer Service is not there top priority. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST if you can. read more

I'm going to give this branch a hands down 2 stars just because I'm nice. By far my least favorite bank. I don't know why I still bank with chase. If you are in the military like myself some chase bank will give you a free lock box to there safe. I went to this branch this morning and waited in line for at least 25 min!!! It was a long line and there was only 2 tellers that was working. To make the matters worst one of the lady that was working keep leaving her area every 2-4 min.
