I have to say, at that point, something said, they aren't going to cash it, and they want to make sure I can't do it anywhere else. When I approached the teller, it took a couple seconds for her to call a manager over who informed me they couldn't cash it because it exceeded the amount that a non customer could cash. Listen folks, this was no personal check, it was a 4000$ check from a financial institution, a business, that has an account with them, their customer, that they have soooo much respect for, they are going to tell said customer how much they can write people checks for, with their own money. What a joke! When I asked the manager if I could see the police in writing, she just smugly replied, "No", to which I replied, " what did you just say to me? She just stood there and stared. I asked for her boss, who politely informed me, that it wasn't a written policy but a note added to the account. Makes great sense right folks, you can tell me that's what it says, but you can't show me in writing. The manager had the audacity to ask me to ask me who I bank with! Like, what does that ha e to do with them. I watched numerous videos and news reports of how this bank continues to disrespect POC, both prior and after this incident, it's nauseating. I strongly encourage any POC to avoid this bank like the plague that it is. I normally go to the other branch up the road from here, but today i came to this branch to cash then deposit a check because of Wells Fargo's hold policy and i was told based on the size of the check i cannot cash the check i must deposit the check. I have been banking with wells fargo for over 10 years, in fact when it was Wachovia i was a member and I have never experienced this. I reiterated to the teller, I have done this before up the road and i have had no issues, in fact the reason i want to cash the check first is because i was informed by them that if i deposit the check there will be a hold on the access to the money. Since I had to get back to work I accepted her requirement for me to deposit the money, but followed up by calling their customer support and got the same answer from 3 different agents. In fact, the first agent said you would need to cash the check first and then deposit the check back into your accounts. Long story short, DO NOT GO TO THIS BANK, THEY ARE UNPROFESSIONAL, RUDE, AND WILL RACIALLY PROFILE YOU.
