First Florida is my go-to bank to use a shared branch. They are so excellent in service. I can deposit, transfer, and withdraw money from First Florida. I am not able to use the drive thru since I am not an active first Florida member. Nonetheless, I have the same perks I would have with my credit union in NJ. I just love love, love, First Florida. My NJ account was hacked, and a new debit card was issued. I needed money fast. First Florida came through in a pinch.

Beware of the fine print on their promotions. When you want…read moreto get out, don't trust a teller to escalate your issue. I opened a business account and informed them that I will not be consenting to online banking, but within several months, they changed the terms and began charging for paper statements, and stated that they will not print statement at the bank. Therefore I told the tellers several times that I want to cancel the account, but he reversed some fees and will escalate it to see if they can resolve it. Instead of resolving it, he just kept it open so more statement fees could be assessed, and after he confirmed that he could not resolve it, the fees were deducted from my balance that I received. Also the news reported that TD Bank apparently will pay more than $3 billion to settle a federal lawsuit regarding money laundering and Bank Secrecy Act violations. I will stay with my 2 other banks that send me free statements and resolve issues on the spot.

I wish I got the name of the gentleman that helped me, but I went in to make a cash deposit and get a replacement debit card. He was friendly, funny, and efficient! Real people helping real people. What more could you want? The layout of this location is a bit funky. Probably an experiment to see if members found this more approachable than all of the agents behind a main desk. Once you're used to that, it's not a deterrent, and doesn't at all affect the great customer service.
