The process used to be simple, smooth, and respectful and we have never missed a single payment on anything we've financed through them. That's why this recent experience was so disappointing. Over the span of four days, we called and emailed multiple times trying to get a vehicle loan handled, and the entire process felt unnecessarily difficult and frustrating. Instead of the helpful and professional service we were used to, we were met with a dismissive tone and asked an excessive number of questions that didn't make sense given our history with the bank. What made it worse was being told our "income is too low" to qualify for a vehicle that is barely 5 figures, despite our flawless payment record and long-standing relationship. It felt inconsistent and disrespectful, especially considering how reliable we've been as customers. It's frustrating to see such a decline in customer service from a bank we've trusted for years. What used to be an easy and professional process has turned into something stressful and disappointing. Based on this experience, we will seriously reconsider doing business here moving forward.

The brach staff is friendly and their online banking works well once one learns its quirks. If you need other banking services, things go down hill quickly. For example, when we inquired about a car loan we found that they were a full percentage point above three other quotes we had. When we went in to get our wills notarized, we were informed they do not offer that service, even after a staff member had assured us during a telephone call before we went in that they do offer that service. Customer service representative Asthma helped me open my checking and savings account at First Convenience Bank a couple of months ago. She has personally phoned me over the past couple of months to help me set up my direct deposit from my Social Security account. Asthma has also enlightened me about First Convenience Bank's access to my Social Security funds two days earlier than the posted date of the third of the month, the standard date of Social Security's direct deposit. I also learned from her that First Convenience Bank allows me to take out a personal loan beginning after four months of my Social Security direct deposit, using the Social Security payment as collateral. The first payment of the loan begins 45 days after the loan date. First Convenience Bank offers a great interest rate at a minimum percentage. I had been a customer of a well known bank (WF) since 2018. When I applied several times for a small personal loan, I was always turned down, citing poor to average credit scores. There was never a mention of using my SS deposit for collateral. I'm highly impressed with the customer service, especially with banking agent Asthma, at First Convenience Bank of Texas! When I left the farm and hit the highway for the big city of Denton back in 2005, I was "Mr. Low Credit No Credit." I needed a bank account for this strange, new world, and 1st CB came through. Today, so many years later, I could bank somewhere else, but I would rather not. It is, as it's name suggests, convenient. They have 7 days a week hours, and even most holidays. They may not be open before work, but they are open well after. It's so wonderful knowing that I can bank at times that are conducive to work. Particularly, this location has a wonderful staff from management to the tellers, I haven't a single negative thing to say.

While my problem was not in her immediate area of responsibility, she listened and went to work. Elisa fixed the 1st issue (on line account suspended) and then contacted another expert within Schwab that helped to find the source of other issues that led to my suspension. If Elisa had not listened and gone the extra miles to help me, I would have been suspended again as soon as I drove back home to Denton, TX. Jared Herbert is also to be commended for being very responsive to a phone call and especially for having a very qualified staff that cares about their clients. If I was not retired, I would have offered a job to Elisa. Her talent, caring attitude, and common sense are rare. I expect Schwab recognizes her abilities and she has a bright future ahead of her.

We had to replace our car on a trip we made to Dallas last week. We located a replacement car on a Saturday and the dealership let us keep the new car as we would provide them payment from our account at Charles Schwab. On Monday, we went by Charles Schwab in Southlake to arrange the disbursement and met with our agent, Jake Bandy. Mr. Bandy called the dealership, acquired the wiring instructions, and facilitated the whole transaction. Mr. Bandy is a complete pro! He gave us copies of the wire and promised to contact us when it was complete. We returned to the dealership with the copies of the wire and the dealership gave us copies of all our car documents. Mr. Bandy called shortly thereafter and assured us the wire was sent. Everything is stress free when you deal with a great organization and Jake Bandy!

Well I had a cash deposit to make, and I decided to see the shared branch list had changed any? It did, and now CU access is a bike ride away. I've been to Unity One a couple times now, and service has been good. It's not as busy as AA, and that's good too. It seems to take a little longer for shared branch activities, but I think it's because they have to access a different system. Only down thing? Well at AA they seemed to always have a plate of cookies out. Here, there's just a bowl of Dumb Dumb Lollipops. This CU also has drive up, something I don't think AA had. Bottom line: Nice to have this option close to home.
