I don't know if my ex has a friend working there that is giving me a bad rap but i had an emergency loan request denied despite having a 100% on time payment history and a 663 credit score. I intend to be at the next board meeting and voice my displeasure. Multiple promises to call me back, then told messages were left and they were not. I was so proud of my association with GLCU and even participated in their fun runs across the street to promote their community involvement. BUT WHAT ABOUT THE LONG TIME CUSTOMER??? I just needed a money order, but apparently you can't buy it with cash, you need to deposit your cash, then take a money order out from your account, so Jenny tried to explain this to me in the shortest and least informative way. I'm just being normal, but I feel like I'm being talked down too, she had this tone. A little sincerity here would have gone a long way. Hope her day gets better quick so someone else doesn't get the bad attitude too.

What sets this bank apart from other banks? They have a very low turnover of employees--and that means that they know you by name when you walk in the front door! I had been with another local bank for about 10 years prior to coming to Bridgeview, and it seemed like they had a different set of employees every time I went in! The online banking with Bridgeview is also excellent (great iPhone app). However, the employees are so friendly you will want to stop in from time to time just to say "Hello."

The worst credit union ever! I've been a customer for 5 years and never missed a bill or overdrawn…read moremy account and only opened one previous dispute for an online purchase where the seller never sent me the item. In January 2025, I opened a dispute which they denied for a refund after I shipped a defective laptop back to the seller who defrauded me. Now they refuse to refund my money. Now I don't have a working laptop and have lost hundreds of dollars. And the most frustrating thing about it all is that the fraudster has my money that CCU refuses to chargeback. I opened the claim 10 days after I received the laptop and found it defective. CCU made me wait 5 months before denying the claim and saying it's been too long since the purchase of the laptop. Outright criminal behavior. And their customer service and managers constantly lie, saying they'll call me back and to just wait longer but the issue has not been resolved after 5 months. And they pretend to care and pretend they're doing something to help but they don't do anything! Not worth the 5% APY at all!
