I am primarily an online only/Direct Deposit customer that steps into the branch as minimal as possible. The only reason I keep chase is because often I need cash. Here is my main issue with them: The drive-up ATM is always out of service. The last 2 times I have gone it has been out of service. The ATM's in the lobby are only available during business hours. The door card reader doesnt work after hours because who knows why. I asked them if there were any plans to install any exterior ATM's they said no. The manager recommended I visit another branch afterhours if I needed access to an ATM. So, I did, I went to the new location on Freeport BLVD. Only to arrive to signs on the door that the ATMs were unavailable. Chase is a great bank, I dont know why its so subpar in the Sacramento area. Needless to say, I am done. Switching back to Wells Fargo fingers crossed its a better experience. Also, WF is offering $200 for new customers who open a checking account until 3/2023. That was enough incentive to not have to deal with the ATM situation anymore! BYEEEE!

Very professional and well-informed employees at the local branch, in contrast to some of the help that I received through their off-site call center. I will, at the end of the day, still be using my Chase Amazon Prime rewards Visa, and I recommend, that with a little bit of patience and some local interaction, you'll be happy and satisfied with your product too!

The lady who answered the phone was really nice and accomodating. And she even had me come in at the same time I called instead of setting me up to come in another day, The office was small and compact, but provided as much space as needed for receiving customers and conducting their day-to-day operations. As soon as I came in, Trish saw me and saw to me and my inquiry. I dropped off the papers she needed to make me an insurance quote and promised me the next day for completion. She was true to her word... Although I did not accept the quote from Trish, I commend her and her office for the service she offered me. Maybe someday, when the pricing and coverages are right, I could do business with this knowledgeable and friendly group!

I insured my Home when Dan Poston ran the office but since he retired its not the same. Example I literally sent my Home insurance payment two weeks apart and have been calling them to send me proof of my payments either through email or mail today again. i spoke to the same staff member that I spoke to two weeks ago to email and mail proof of my payments and my final money owed to them statement she literally told me she could not do that because I only owe the 3.50 for a processing fee due to me not mailing them the whole amount when they billed me mind the payments were send only two weeks apart. I spoke to the call center which I explained all I have been through just to get proof of payment and the call center transferred me to them but this girl tells me she will email me my receipt in 20 minutes because they are so busy mind you whe told me this two weeks ago and I reminded her I never got an email nor did they mail me any proof they received my payments and they still want to tell me they don't do that . What business doesn't give proof to their customers of payments AAA is my car insurance carrier Im tempted to switch

Look, I love credit unions as much as the next guy…read more Wait, that's not true. I love credit unions much more than the next guy. I'm a big fan and encourage everyone to use them rather than for-profit banks, because why have your money supporting some rich dude's cocaine habit when that money can be supporting small businesses in your community instead? Last month, I wanted to open the credit-union equivalent* of a certificate of deposit (CD), and Golden 1 had slightly higher rates than my credit union. All credit unions have their own criteria for membership; I knew I was eligible to be a Golden 1 member (as a resident of California?), but I didn't know what I needed to get a free account. I called and was told that I could either set up an account over the phone or in person, but that I couldn't purchase the CDs online. They also informed me that I would need a photo of my Social Security card and a selfie with my driver's license. I'm not exactly sure where my Social Security card is, so I went through the weeklong trouble of ordering a new one, and just so I could open this CD. When I finally got my new card in the mail, I called the number again and spoke to someone about setting up a Golden 1 account. He seemed like he knew what he was doing, and he kept telling me I could have opened my account earlier online and then added the CD later rather than waiting to open the account and add the CD at the same time. Whatever the case, this was the day (it was Monday) that I would at least apply for my account. He went through everything with me, including setting up my account, helping me transfer the initial deposit from my credit union--an annoying process because he had led me to believe that I could transfer the entire amount at once, but because it was a new account, this wouldn't be possible--and everything else. I didn't end up needing my Social Security card, and I never had to take a selfie with my license. Everything seemed to go fine. He told me that the membership department would review my application and would email me with details within forty-eight hours. This entire process took at least forty-five minutes over the phone. I got the email confirming that my transfer from my credit union to Golden 1 was pending, but I didn't get anything else from Golden 1 itself. I called the same phone number of Thursday to see whether I could set up my account online yet. This person transferred me to someone else, and this final person told me that there was a problem with my membership application. He put me on hold for a while and told me that the membership department had flagged my application because my home address was listed for them as a business address. I've lived at the same address for twenty-three out of the past twenty-six years and know every other person who has lived here. No one ran a business from here. He put me on hold again. When he returned, he said he had made a note on my file but that I would have to start the entire application and money-transfer process over again. I politely told him I wasn't about to waste another forty-five minutes with an organization who had already wasted my time with a faulty application process, hadn't informed me of anything, and then expected me to reapply. He apologized profusely and explained that the original person hadn't set up the back end correctly. So yeah, it would have been very convenient to be a Golden 1 member and have branch services available to me during all regular business hours, and I would have appreciated the extra .05 percent APY on my CD, but Golden 1, like seemingly so many other businesses lately, violates the No. 1 rule of dealing with customers: Don't make it difficult for me to give you my money. Why is that so complicated for so many businesses to understand? *No credit union I've seen uses the acronym CD, but their equivalent instrument seems to be identical to a CD in every way, so maybe it's just a jargon thing.
