SERIOUSLY DO NOT GO WITH THIS DRIVING SCHOOL!!! At first I saw bad comment on Yelp but I ignored it and soon I regretted I had lessons with this instructor called Zoren and he teaches REALLY BAD!!! He kept saying little gas, more gas, no gas within the same 5 seconds, giving confusing signals, and blaming me adding gas while my foot was not even on the padel... He never actually looked at what ur doing but just arrogantly thinking he knows you the best. When you asked him what mistake you made and how to fix the problem, he never able to teach u the right way. Instead he'll just say, ' just take more lessons and you'll be better.' YEAH YOU ARE RIGHT BUT I DON'T EXPECT TO LEARN NOTHING AFTER CLASS... and I really hated him kept saying he will bring me to good places around here, I was like 'I don't even care about the tourist spots I just want to learn how to drive. Who cares if the place is rich or no?' Appreciate him took me around but he's gone too over for real. One more thing is when we were on the street, the speed limit was like 35mph but he kept asking me to drive at 20 something... when I speed to around 30+ he'll start judging. But I knew the DMV is gonna fail you if you drive too slow... the fact that when I was having lessons with another driving school, the instructor told me I was driving too slow on a 35 street with just 27-29 speed but this Zoren always say I can't drive fast... I really got pissed by him because he said like he's the only one who knows how to drive in the entire world, really arrogant. The last lesson I told him I am not taking class with him anymore cause I'll change to another teaching school and he just told me I AM NOT GONNA PASS MY TEST CAUSE I DONT DRIVE WELL the fact turned out I passed my test with only three mistakes proves I drive okay even I start from zero. Could have written a review a decade ago but dunno yelp that time. But Zoren deserves a good review. Not sure though if he's still there since it's been 10 years since I enrolled here. I enrolled to a different traffic school that year for months and was frustrated because ive been failing my actual driving test. I failed 3 times So my ex bf who is now my hubby enrolled me to a different traffic school nearby his apartment. He said he's one of the best.. Sooooo I met Zoren who was my driving instructor and only taught me for 2 hours before my actual driving test, he's so nice and funny because he's Armenian and knows how to speak a little bit of Tagalog. Anyway, after my session with him, he went with me and drove to Glendale DMV for my actual test, he's a bit popular there because driving examiners knows him. Lol! Do not come here. They're horrible at scheduling, they cancelled my lesson appointment 3 times. And when I finally took a lesson at this school, the woman (I believe her name is Maro) didn't even pay attention to my driving. She spend the entirety of the lesson making phone calls with other customers, don't know why she felt the need to do this during the allotted time that I paid for. She's also really bad at teaching and I felt like I learned nothing. I accidentally drove over one (1) dip at a residential area a little too fast, and she dramatically grabbed the steering wheel from the passenger seat and tried to drive the car herself. I had Maro as my instructor and she was very nice. My previous instructor was more rigid in his teaching style and although I did learn under his guidance it made me feel uneasy about driving. Maro was a lot more relaxed and we went through the test routes over and over again, we also drive at different places until I feel much more comfortable behind the wheel, I feel like our two hour lesson usually went by pretty quickly. Instructor was not helpful at all in fact made me nervous and was not paying much attention to what I was doing more so just repeating the same phrases "no gas" "no brake" "more gas" ect... he was a smart ass also and kept telling me to listen in Spanish lol "escucha". Soren is very calm, gives clear directions, and is very familiar with the areas he takes you as well as the dmv test routes.

!!DO NOT GO HERE!! Don't underestimate the bad reviews. I got their 6-hour package but only got to drive for less than 5 hours. As someone who has tried other driving schools, they are not run like this! You are supposed to drive for the entirety of the hours you pay for. The instructor also unjustifiably rudely raised her voice at me. I paid for the 6 Hours Behind-the-Wheel Drive Test but I did not actually get the 6 hours. For the first 2-hour session I had to go to their offices to read and fill out some paperwork. While at their offices, another customer came in that they had to attend to, extending my time there. I didn't mind until they never repaid my time. This is about 20 minutes of my lesson that I paid for to be behind the wheel and which that I was not. Later, after about half an hour of driving, the instructor decided that we should pull over and take a break (additional time lost which I paid to be driving). I was also dropped off about 15-20 minutes early. For my second 2-hour lesson I asked that I did not want to take any breaks like last time and drive the two hours. My instructor allowed it but I was dropped off 20 minutes earlier again. I asked if we could drive a little more since we still had time left. She raised her voice at me and told me she couldn't do that and that as an instructor, she needs a break before her next student. She schedules her breaks during scheduled lessons? For my last 2-hour session, I was again dropped off early. Add up all the time: trips to their office, unnecessary breaks, and early drop offs, it adds up to about an hour and more loss in time driving. As someone who's passed the drive test (no thanks to this school), it's important you practice driving as much as you can as it does make a difference. Not only my daughter's instructor was an accomplished,nice,patient and very knowledgeble, but they went of their way to monitor openings in the appointment schedule of multiple DMV around the area in order to find her an appointment for the driving test quickly and around her schedule. I passed my driving test on 2/22/2022 and my instructor had taught me all the information needed to pass. I was able to pass without any issues. The most important way to start this review is by saying, after taking 3 hours of behind-the-wheel lessons with Chase, I got my license! In reality, I really only needed a few pointers and practice because I'd already driven 40+ hours in my lifetime... but I got what I came for, so I'm pretty happy. I'm also pretty sure it has the best prices around. I wouldn't call it a super duper pleasant experience..mostly because my instructor wasn't exactly super duper concerned with my well-being (he hummed songs as I was trying to concentrate, spoke abruptly like "GO!" "More gas now" "what are you doing?!", spoke to his friends in a language I couldn't understand and ignored me for the hours we were waiting at the DMV, told me to read from the handbook out-loud like I was in 6th grade...). Luckily, he WAS concerned about me passing the test, and did a good job of preparing me for that. We drove around the DMV's neighbourhood and he knew where the tester would take me and where all the different turns/lane switches would be and how to handle them- and he had lots of good tips to help me pass. So overall, the actual experience wasn't one to celebrate... but who needs a good time in the past when you can drive in the present?! read more

Where do I begin... Magic Ed, thoughts on love, discussions around whether or not we live in a matriarchy today? My advice is strap yourself in, @ Chevy Chase driving school you will not only defer that traffic infraction, you will in fact get one step closer to the meaning of life. Magic Ed was my instructor for the 8 hour session on Saturday. Magic Ed utilizes a myriad of props throughout in order to keep the attention of the class. For example, one prop is an elephant that will whisper answers into your brain. Be careful, by the end of the session Magic Ed will try to hock every prop he has. Be strong, do not submit. As for the material, Magic Ed will do a little to try and scare you into thinking you will die next time you switch lanes without signaling, but on the whole he is a good sport. At the very least, you are not forced to watch one of those scary drunk driving videos. Somehow Magic Ed will undoubtedly veer into discussions on the meaning of love, how this is not longer a "man's" world, and also death (unrelated to vehicles). The breaks are healthy. Also this place is cheaper than other options, only $30. read more

I've been told that I am a very skilled driver. I have never been in accidents but I do make mistakes. This school is a great refresher course for experienced drivers who need to attend traffic school as well as excellent for people learning how to drive to prepare to get their license. The reason being is this little gem right here on the edge of Glendale is a traffic school that does not bore you to death, and...get this...you might actually learn something! When I went here I was refreshed to hear good and realistic traffic examples that didn't insult my intelligence, and taught me some pointers that I thought I would know before coming there but actually ended up not knowing. The test wasn't horrendously difficult either, but I attribute that to the teacher setting up examples in a way that was easy for me to visualize. The price was very good too. It's really a win-win if you have to go to traffic school. To sum it all up, I recommend this school because of their prices, customer service, and method of displaying information/curriculum. read more
