They come right to your door, on time, friendly instructors - every single one of them. I honestly don't know how they find people with such great attitudes. My daughter gets a little apprehensive about new situations so everyone made her really comfortable. They said she did great. So! Because of that, we bought three more classes (extra six hours of experience). The first new lesson, she got over her fear of the freeway and did really well. She was so scared when it's her parents but with an instructor, she got over that. The second new lesson? This was the issue and absolutely kudos to Drivers Ed Direct. So, she gets panic attacks sometimes. It used to be really bad where she would miss school and it was almost daily and she hated it but she couldn't get through them, it was a rough year at the time. But, we got them mostly under control but for whatever reason... she had one about 15 minutes before her instructor showed up. I couldn't get her out of it (it's awful to see, as a parent), she was trying but she couldn't breath, short of breath. I greeted the instructor and said I have to deal with 'something' first and he was so patient, when he didn't need to be, as we were on the clock. She was in no shape to drive, it was bad... so I told him that, unfortunately, we had to cancel but we'd just eat the costs, no probably at all. He was totally amazing, my God... I was so stressed and he was like, "Totally no worries, I live close, it's okay." Nicest guy, per usual with them. The day after, I just emailed them to just apologize for that and I didn't even bring-up the cost or anything because, yeah, I should be on the hook for that, it's not their problem. But, guess what. They said it's okay and didn't even charge anything! They are going to reschedule it! I had to come on here immediately and pass that along because they absolutely didn't have to do that -- at all. But that's who they are - they care.

How truly greedy and unaccommodating to not offer credit to customers who have spent over $1K at your business. Seeing the other reviews here, Melrose would be wise to be more accommodating to earn good will and customer loyalty. Hard pass.

Put it this way, they were so slow that I could easily get a picture of the phone number on the car so I could finally put in a complaint because this is not the first time I have seen issues with the drivers/cars from this school. I have previously seen cars from this driving school driving erratically but haven't been able to catch the phone number until now. I have also caught the cars from this driving school stopping at a red and just sitting there despite the fact that there is absolutely zero oncoming traffic. Other drivers get frustrated by this and then take extreme action to get around the driving school car because it appears the driver is just not paying attention to the road because they are not following normal traffic laws/rules. This is LA, you need to do better when it comes to how you teach people to drive. Your customers are entrusting you to show them how to drive safely and telling your students to make a turn when there's a quickly approaching vehicle, is just not safe. Not driving with the flow of traffic is also unsafe. If you are a new driver looking for a good driving school, go anywhere else but here. I would highly recommend AAA or some other more professional organization because this company just does not teach you how to drive properly in the city of Los Angeles. If you attended this school, you should be highly concerned.

Somehow two of my three looks "got lost" and I never received them. They took no accountability and told me that all photos that were taken should be included in the Dropbox but that wasn't the case. My looks were nowhere. Additionally, right after I brought this up to them I stopped receiving emails for internships and opportunities for their job board. It definitely wasn't a coincidence. They told me that I "unsubscribed" (which I didn't) and there was no way to re-add me back on the list.. doesn't even sound believable. I spent thousands of dollars and it was a waste. I don't even think this is a business anymore but if it is, steer clear :)

The information they give is just for beginners. The price is greatly overestimated! Seriously, you can find all this information from books, almost for free.
