I have received UNSOLICITED bulk mail from Chase. I called previously to have my previous, current, and 2 other home addresses removed from the mailing list for an eternity. Also requested that Chase not contact me by mail, phone, text, fax, or in person for an eternity. Guess, What, it started all over in 2018. I spoke to a supervisor Eve and explained that this was my second time to request having my personal home address, removed. SO IF UNSOLICITED BULK MAIL IS NOT ENOUGH, GET THIS; on the unsolicited bulk mail there is absolutely NO information to OPT out, NO contact number for customer service. The ONLY thing on these solicitations is a web address to sign up. Very ONE sided to the consumer. As I explained to the supervisor, it people are NOT responding, they are not interested. Chase needs to STOP, as this is an unnecessary waste of resources, paper, people, and waste to the landfills. Chase has all their information on the website if the consumer is interested they will contact Chase. For any consumer that wishes to have their address and previous address removed from the mailing list do the following; 1. Contact the main number for this location and ask to be removed. 2. MUST ASK FOR ALL PREVIOUS ADDRESSES AND CURRENT. If you own more than one residence ask for these addresses too! 3. VERY IMPORTANT, IN ADDITION TO THE MAILING LIST, ASK TO BE REMOVED FROM ALL SUBSIDIARIES, ALL THRID PARTY ASSOCIATIONS. 4. ASK FOR NO CONTACT BY PHONE, TEXT, FAX, OR IN PERSON. In January of 2016 I lost my job and ceased paying my Chase mortgage and Homeowners Association fees. In February of 2017 I requested a Loan Modification from Chase and was assigned to Calloway Jones to process the request. Several weeks later a Chase representative from Calloway Jones's foreclosure team told me that since I had an HOA lien I could not continue with the review process. I was advised to make a deal to satisfy the lien with the HOA. To that end I entered into a payment plan (currently a $5200 balance) to pay the arrears, with a stipulation that any and all liens would be satisfied upon completion of these payments. I then provided Chase with the signed agreement. I was then told that my request had, once again, and without disposition, expired and I would need to resubmit my request and related documents for a loan modification, the sale date was again put on hold and the foreclosure labeled inactive. I complied as requested with a new request package. After several weeks, I was told by a Chase representative on Calloway Jones's foreclosure team that the payment plan (that I entered into and was paying at their suggestion) was insufficient. I was told that Chase policy would not permit a modification with an outstanding lien against the property. The foreclosure was active again. A Chase representative suggested that I speak to someone at HUD/FHA regarding the HOA problem. The FHA Modification office in California notified me, after talking to Chase, that Chase could, in fact, simply wrap the HOA arrearage into the modified loan. After all the calls and conversations I had with Chase, it was never suggested to me that this was as an option. After speaking with Mr. Calloway Jones and requesting that Chase 'wrap' the $5200) into the loan, I was again required to submit a new Request for Loan Modification. In approximately 2 weeks I was notified by Calloway Jones that Chase had reviewed the 'wrap' option and denied the request. In each case of seeming delay, leading to my modification request expiring without disposition, I was told on the phone, but never in writing. One of the foreclosure team members suggested I speak with my Congressman or pay off the lien. More than once I was invited, in a not so friendly manner, to withdraw my request if I was unhappy with the process or re-submit requesting a 'short sale' option. Under serious duress about my housing situation I agreed to request the 'short sale' option. Chase approved the short sale process in Feb 2018 and I received a new Chase 'relationship manager' named Douglas Kuminecz, and within a week secured and submitted a contract with a cash buyer for $75K (the appraised value was $83K). My realtor spoke with Chase 'negotiator' Maria Prieto (from Mr. Kuminecs's short sales team) to find that the offer was neither approved or denied, but, to be fully considered, needed to be higher to meet the appraised value. She added that to resolve the lien issue I would need to concede any 'Cash for Keys' from Chase (approx $4,000), and my buyer would need to contribute $1K towards satisfaction of the $5,200 lien balance. My realtor submitted a revised offer of $83K on May 24, 2018. On June 7 my realtor called Chase to follow up only to find that the property had been sold at auction, without her foreknowledge, the day before, on June 6, 2018 for $64K. This amount is $20k less that we were told would be acceptable in our offer. In fact, the property was offered at auction with a minimum bid of $63K. I believe Chase did not negotiate in good faith, misrepresenting their intent to come to terms, continually raising the bar and intentionally causing unnecessary delays, requiring multiple submissions without ever approving or disapproving my requests for assistance. Much of which, I know find, seems to mirror practices that have resulted in lawsuits and unfavorable publicity against Chase in the recent past. read more

These guys are MORONS. Stay away from Chase if you can possibly do so. My story: I was faithfully paying my mortgage via ACH Debit every month. My last payment was not processed by Chase. Since it is automatic, I never noticed. I get a call from Chase telling me that I'm late on my last payment. I ask them to take the payment via ACH. They tell me that they can't. Darn. I offer to send them a check. They demand certified funds! I finally convince them to take my good check. Today I find that it was returned to me - they're demanding certified funds again. I now have no choice to play their game. I'm sure that they've already slandered me to the credit bureaus. There is no use calling their "customer service" number. It's all automated and whenever you do get to a human, they're in Panama or India and they have zero authority to help. Chase is a very large, very confused, very belligerent company. They care very little for their customers no matter what. I strongly advise that everyone steer clear of this moronic giant as they will eventually turn on you! read more

Buyer beware, avoid Chase at all costs. We had the great misfortune of working with Brock D. Fields (Mortgage Banker NMLS ID 815196 ) and James E. Hokenberry (Lending Manger NMLS ID 497132). As a result of our association with them, we went from being excited home buyers to stressed out victims of terrible customer service, complete professional ineptitude and out right predatory practices. We have been banking with Chase for over 10 years. When it was time to apply for a mortgage, we made the mistake of reaching out to Chase instead of finding a local loan officer. Chase connected us with Brock. Chase courted us with a pre-approval rate of 3.65% for a 30 year fixed mortgage. Brock is the worst loan officer we've ever experienced. Communicating with him was a nightmare. We had to dial an 800 number and a 5 digit extention to get through to him. His communication skills via email and phone left a lot to be desired. He was barely available by phone and he only wrote emails with vauge and unclear bullet points. Brock barely had any knowledge about mortgage rules and regulations. He completely misguided us throughout the loan application process and wasted a lot of our time. He had no idea as to how to properly structure our loan based on our individual circumstances and needs. After setting us up for weeks by asking us for unecessary materials and declarations, 9 days before closing, he and his manager pulled the ultimate "bait and switch" on our rate from 3.65% to 4.85% with points. We were incredibly dissapointed by Brocks professional ineptitude and extreme lack of knowledge about loan structuring and federal rules & guidelines. He misguided us into doing several wrong things that allowed the underwriter of our loan to reclassify our property in a way that would allow Chase to charge us a higher rate. Brock had no accountability. He took no responsibility and offered no apology for messing up our loan process from start to finish. Brock and James patronized us and tried to push us into the impossible position of having to accept a ludicrously higher rate in order to make our settlement deadline. Thankfully we were able to obtain an extension on our settlement date and a local competent lender stepped in to save us from the predatory practices of Chase (and gave us the rate we deserved). Our new loan officer was full of knowledge. He was disgusted by Brock and Jame's practices. Our new loan officer structured the loan properly and we weren't forced to give Brock or Chase our business. But I can only imagine what someone with less knowledge and outrage would have done in our situation, I wouldn't wish Brock on anyone. It's so-called crooked and/ or inept mortgage "professionals" like Brock and his manager James who rightfully give the banking industry and big banks a bad name. We will move all of our money from Chase and will never work with them again. As customers, we are traumatized and dissapointed by how little regard and understanding Brock and James had for our customer service needs and interests. read more

I have been a chase customer for 5 years as well as had my mortgage with Chase for those 5 years. My payments have NEVER been late, delinquent or even used the 15 day grace period. I refinanced my mortgage in October with Alliance Home Loan in Phoenix, AZ and the loan closed on October 26 and was recorded by title on October 31. This I have no control over and I did my diligence through the entire process with signing forms and making myself available for a smooth process. I have submitted a dispute through Chase on several occasions and it has always came back as no amendment needed. It's not like I was a bad customer and this was a regular thing. In fact I was told on my many calls that if it was done by October 30 it wouldn't have been reported. 1 day, really????? The norm in the refinance business, as I have talked to 5 different lenders trying to figure this out, is if the refinance closes by month end or before next payment is due then it is considered not delinquent and not reported. This has lowered my credit score by 200 points and will stay on there for 7 years. This is not common and needs to be removed. I have been a good and loyal customer over the years. read more

Chase Home Finance is by far the WORST mortgage company in the entire world. We have been fighting them since July of 2009 with NO resolve. Our checks were being returned to us, not accepted, nor could I pay over the phone. We never bounced a check, though had been late several times due to hardship, however, our payments were no good. They have disconnected us hundreds of times, transferred as NO employee knows who we should speak to, as well as the fact most can barely speak the English language. It is now September 2010 and we are desperately trying to get a Loan Modification, however they still don't know who to talk to, have no clue where my paperwork ended up, told me to speak to a Relationship Manager by the name of D. Jackson, gave me his telephone number with extention, yet nobody will pass me to speak to this "relationship manager". Instead, they tell me anyone can help me, they are "trained", I am now in the wrong department. SOOOO I called HUD. They are the government and are so happy to be working with me to get Chase to work with me. They are also experiencing the same phone problems. I have called over 100 times in the last 2 weeks and until HUD gets involved, you are screwed and in the hands of these CROOKS. They are thieves, they lie, they train their employees to lie, they are confused, they are stupid, they are breaking the law but because people don't know the available help (HUD) they are loosing their homes. WARNING PLEASE TAKE SERIOUSLY: DO NOT USE CHASE HOME FINANCE, CHASE MANHATTAN. THEY ARE ALL RELATED AND INTERTWINED. Get a lawyer and shred their names on FB, Google, You Tube, wherever you can, make yourself heard. It isn't slander to tell your story, and you will be heard. I am contacting an attorney to help us. HUD is on our side, we will NOT take this sitting down. OH and the best part, their attorney in NH told me while trying to explain the recent increase of $5000+ to our due amount, that he was "REGURGITATTING (sp?) looking at the charges added to our account. But no thanks to chase and all there wisdom. Fell into the whole forcloser, modification circle. My house was not worth anywhere near what the morgage I was paying for, and we were unable to make the payments. Had to get a very good lawyer that was at the time only doing home modifications. It cost over 15,000.00 for the lawyer, but to make a long story short, it took tons of paperwork and almost 5 years of nasty phone calls and many nasty letters from them, to get our modification. Just want to mention that the government gave the banks billions to help the little guy keep there home. But they had no intention of helping, they just wanted to keep all that money for themselves, and by the amount of people who where able to get there modification, that fact is very apparent.
