I think the brunch buffet here is okay but I've definitely had better. They had caesar salad, deviled eggs, seafood (crab legs, clams, shrimp, smoked salmon), Eggs Benedict, cooked salmon, pasta, a curry dish, and a variety of desserts, pastries and fruits. There was an omelet station to the side. The servers gave us orange juice and coffee to drink. They were pretty attentive and cleared our plates quickly. The food was presented in an appetizing manner. The venue itself is nice looking. There were nice French inspired murals decorating the dining area. The dessert selections were pretty good! Unfortunately, I was a bit turned off by the fruit flies circling the fruits and cakes on the dessert table. It was gross. I didn't see any fruit flies near the main dishes. The brunch costs about $30 per person. This is pretty expensive considering what we ended up eating. I struggled to fill my plate with seconds. I just wasn't overly interested in the brunch options. I left the brunch not feeling overly full. I definitely did not eat enough from this buffet. For brunch, I'd rather go to a cafe and pay more, for a fancy latte and a good quality breakfast item.

The parking lot in the back has lots of room as there's a conference centre in a separate building for bigger parties and meetings.

It is also 3X the average price of hotels parking in this area. They do not tell you the parking next door is 3rd party not included in your stay, it is $100 fine if you park there and don't pay the 3rd party. All the trucks had the same fine in the morning. Management did nothing about this. We found the hotel new and bright. The room was large, water pressure was good, had a nice hairdryer, there was also an iron, bar fridge, kuereg coffee maker, flat screen tv. We were on the 11th floor, looking out over the river valley. The restaurant & lounge were beautiful, open airy and had great views. We didn't eat or drink there but took a look around. The gym is well equipped & the hot tub is the size of a pool. Check in was quick and they fave us complementary warm chocolate chip cookies A negative was the very thin walls, it is a family hotel and the morning are filled with the sounds of children for good or bad lol. The mattress is extra firm, depending on your preference that is good or bad. The location is at the far east end of Jasper Ave, still decent for most shopping, dining & access to the ICE district.

Thankfully for this trip, it was for work so we paid less than what normal people would pay. Love the staff, love the environment, the features of the room. I was contacted a year later by a new general manager, who addressed my issues, and promised a successful event for 2016. I booked our event with Elizabeth, who was beyond helpful and accommodating. I had so many changes with guest lists, and table arrangements, and Elizabeth happily accommodated every request. The night of the function, I arrived early and there were some things that weren't quite set up right, but the banquet supervisor worked quickly to get things in order. All the staff were very friendly and super helpful. I felt like they all had their A-game on. When there was a discrepancy on the banquet order about what time we had the room until, the supervisor was extremely accommodating. I absolutely love the "Top of the Inn". It's a spectacular room with floor to ceiling windows on both sides, overlooking the city. The room was renovated just a few years ago, and there are stunning sparkling led lights in the ceiling that really make it feel like your under the night sky. This would be a very romantic spot for a wedding. The food is always great here. Buffet's can always be hit or miss but they do a great job here. Many of the guests commented on the food. The banquet prices are competitive with other hotels in Edmonton. Out of all the Edmonton hotels I've held banquets at, or attended banquets, I really think that the Top of the Inn at the Delta is the most stunning. And after the great service we had this time, I won't hesitate to book again.

I enjoyed the deals that we had received on the attractions while staying. We had a lot of luggage but they always accommodated us. They told us to run it for 15 minutes and it would get hot. It did not. After 4 days of this I got very angry at the front desk and they moved us to a different room (had to wait until day 5). They had no other room to give us prior. Sal told us it was a priority but it was not. I had to repeatedly ask when the new room would be ready. The room they had set out to give us (the room Sal at the front desk said had no issues and would cause us no problems) suddenly had maintenance issues and they moved us to another room. I went in to make sure it was satisfactory and when I was leaving the new room I tripped and fell. I can't help but feel that if our room had hot water and our stay matched what we paid I wouldn't be sitting here with a bruised up knee and leg. I wouldn't have a sore neck, arms and stomach muscles. I wouldn't have a sore face and I wouldn't have broken my cell phone screen. It ruined the rest of my trip. I had to use a wheelchair for the final few days of our stay. The pain was unbearable. They decided to turn the water off for four hours on Friday, September 4th to fix the hot water issue. They rented out these rooms knowing that there was an issue with the hot water. That does not say "we appreciate our guests." On Friday September 4th we get woken up by the fire alarm. The voice that came over the intercom was so muffled we had to open the door and even then we could only make out a few words. They were telling the guests to stay in their rooms until they figured out what it was. We decided to leave as I'm still in a wheelchair. As we exit the room we ask the cleaning staff what is happening and she says "everything is fine." No. No it's not. We were woken up Saturday morning by hammering and drilling. Not surprising considering they do not care about their guests. The final straw was arranging two days prior to check-out that we could check out at 2:00 instead of 11:00. The front desk employee looked on the computer, typed a bunch of stuff and said he added it to our file. Check-out day arrives and staff are entering our room. My husband goes down and the front desk staff say there are no notes on our file and we have to leave. I talk to the girl on the phone and she says there was no arrangement. I'm completely angry now. A manager talks to us because I'm so angry I'm starting to yell. The manager extends our check-out time until 2:00. Don't know why it was such an issue considering every time our room was to be cleaned we left $20 tips for the housekeeping staff and they didn't even spend fifteen minutes cleaning the room. When we came back the bed was made and the garbages changed but there was still dirt and the carpets were never vacuumed. I have pictures of how disgusting it was. The front lobby smelled of car exhaust and when you walked by the bathrooms to go into the mall it had a horrible sewer smell. We had a rude employee at the front desk when we had questions on day two of our stay and when we called the hotel operator to ask for maintenance they would just hang up on you. They didn't know how to say hello and goodbye or to treat the guests with respect. Half the time you called no one answered. We have stayed at the fantasyland hotel three times in the last twenty years (all theme rooms) but this is the last time I will ever stay here. The amount they charged us is ridiculous for what we received. We paid upfront weeks before our stay. The $100 credit for room service as a goodwill gesture didn't adequately compensate for the problems we experienced. Next time we need a hotel we will be paying for a 5 star hotel. It's too bad this hotel has gone so far downhill. A real shame. It used to be my favourite place to stay. This hotel is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in and we had the worst experience from beginning to end. We should not have to pay for this ridiculous place they call a hotel. How they can they even look at you without being embarrassed is beyond me. They should be ashamed. Instead they were proud that they gave us a $100 gift for room service. They also gave us $700 back on our credit card when I got angry at checkout. Still not good enough.

I arrived bright and early and luckily was able to check in right away. Whenever I stay in a hotel I request being on a higher floor, so that I get a nice city view. So I was happy to be put up on the 6th floor that overlooked Whyte Ave and the city of Edmonton. A couple things to know: + The location of this hotel is perfect - right at the heart of Whyte Ave. There are plenty of bars, coffee shops, restaurants, and shops within a 5 minute walking distance. + Complimentary wine happy hour. I wasn't able to make it to this unfortunately since I was at an event, but if if I was free, y'all know I wouldn't miss the opportunity to sip on some free wine. + Complimentary breakfast buffet w/ all your basic continental goodies. I also did not partake in this complimentary feature, because this lil lady needed to catch up on some zzz's, but from the photos it looked bomb.com. + Comfy beds. I always feel teeny tiny when I sleep in a king bed. I burrito'ed myself in between all the blankets and 5 pillows, and I'm pretty sure if someone came into my room while I was sleeping they wouldn't be able to see me. I'm not sure if it was because I was exhausted or if the beds were just extremely comfy, but I passed out right away and slept through the whole night. + Strong free wifi. I had a lot of work to get done during my trip, so having strong wifi was necessary. Metterra delivered. I'd happily stay here again, hopefully for longer next time!
