If I could give a 0 I would. I attended NCCC in 2017. I filed for student aide through FAFSA just…read morebefore classes started. Several weeks later, I received a letter in the mail stating that I needed to sign the FAFSA form, which I had done electronically when I filed. But, I signed the paper that they sent and went online to sign again electronically. I was not informed until just before classes ended for the term that they needed my tax transcript. I sent an email to the financial office stating that it would take 10 business days to receive it and I would fax it to her as soon as I got it. Which I did. I received an email the next day saying that it was not received. I then emailed a copy to her. I didn't hear anything else until several months later when I received a call at my work, of which I never gave the college the number for, from a collections agency, saying that I owed almost $4000. I said that I did my part and the college was supposed to process my student aide. A few weeks ago, I received a letter from the collections agency saying that if I didn't contact them about paying the debt, that they would take legal action. I wrote a letter to the college stating all of the above information. Someone from the business office emailed me asking me to provide the proof that I provided the requested information and they would bring the matter before that Review Committee. I was able to provide proof of the fax,, but not the emails, because those were all trough my college email, which I no longer have access to. I just received a letter saying that they are unable to grant the 100% reduction because, they said, I was notified several times that I needed to provide the Tax Transcript. Which, I never received. Conveniently, they were not able to find the emails stating that I could provide the tax transcript late or that I had emailed it. But were able to locate some of the emails stating that I was waiting for the transcript. So, I now have to pay the full amount, or have it affect my credit score. I am extremely angry and disappointed with NCCC. I did my part and provided the information that was needed. They did not do their part and process the financial aide. And, then lied about their part in it. It is a disgusting practice and I would not recommend this college to anyone. Go somewhere that has some integrity!!

The university is the oldest in Vermont and the fifth-oldest in New England. It is among the oldest in the United States and is one of the original eight Public League Universities. My dear friend's daughter is in her senior year. It's going to be hard to say goodbye to our campus visits. It is a beautiful campus to visit and fun activities nearby like the Teddy Bear Factory and Maple Syrup Factory. If you stay near campus at a AirB&B it may be a home with historic charm. Plan your visits because graduation comes around quickly and you want to document your fond memories! The downside is the placement office. Don't expect much assistance finding employment in your chosen field when you graduate! Start planning in advance!

Just the trip TO the school was a beautiful drive, but arriving in Burlington and walking around town was really great. We did do an official tour and the campus itself is beautiful. Our tour guide did an excellent job with our fairly large group and was able to answer all our questions. Dorms were...well they were dorm rooms, but some of the residence halls are actually quite nice. Unfortunately, I don't think this was the right 'fit' for my son so it's unlikely that he will end up here as a student, but it had more to do with the makeup of the academic program he was interested in rather than him not liking the campus. Seriously, this is really a beautiful campus with access to great outdoor activities in all seasons. Reduced price ski trips for students, great activities ON campus, and so much to do in town. Burlington is a great town with LOTS of great places to eat and drink...lots of local brews to enjoy if you are into craft beers as well.
