Solid school, my two oldest kids go here and they're getting a great education. Maybe too much…read morehomework, but the programs and facilities are really good. It's hard to get in, so you want to be sure that you prep your kids for the entrance exam. Their website is pretty outdated, so it's hard to tell the quality from the online presentation, but they're legit. Great reputation with the universities too, so it's a good move if you care about long-term education plans.

The teachers treat the kids like family and have a great work ethic. All three of my children have attended Gladstone, and there is just no comparison to some of the other schools they've attended. The school infrastructure is old, although most of the older parts have been renovated, there are…read morestill some part which have noticeable amounts of shabbiness. The students are usually here to the class before the teacher, and they are forced to wait standing with heavy backpacks as the door is locked and there are no seats nearby. They don't allow any extension on the Chromebook that the school forced you to use. Some stairs have low roof which you can hurt your head on and the toilet stall walls are low enough that taller people could see over. The students have 10 minutes to not only get to their class with their backpack which can sometimes be 3 floors up but also have enough time to eat a snack and pee in the toilet. Most of the lockers are located in an underground area which is fine but considering the building is 3 floors that means that the students actually have to get down a floor to get their backpack after coming back from gym then maybe go up 4 floors up to their class, try to learn when you're light-headed for running up those floor with a heavy load. The food they serve at the cafeteria is bad, the soup they give you tastes like water with salt, the rice tasted horrible, and the main dish seem to be full of ingredients seems to be from the last couple of days. The underground hallway has blue colored heater which reach temperature that could cause first degree burns. The lessons they give are decent, but they always tell you the homework halfway through the class, which makes it very easy to forget.

Community is about 35% English, 65% French. Very sleepy town, but the English unity is very tight-knit. Great place to raise our children away from the big city.
