Anxiety, sleep issues, and fear of sea sickness since I am going on a cruise. Some years back, she helped me with the sea sickness, and it completely got rid of it. It was unbelievable! She starts off with an extensive questionnaire for you to fill out to get a good gauge on the issues you are wanting to work on. And then during your scheduled appointment, she spends a lengthy amount of time discussing your issues, your goals, and all kinds of other interesting and helpful things. When she records your session it is sent to you via text so you can listen to it at your leisure. I've only had the session recording for two nights and I listened to the session both nights as I was getting ready for bed. I fell asleep so peacefully and both nights slept incredibly well which is very rare for me these days! I would recommend Alisha for any issues you're struggling with! She absolutely amazing!

We finally got a hold of each other and I jokingly said, "Looks like we kept missing each other" and she replies "Well, you kept missing me." She is a little snide, so I actually didn't set up an appointment. A few weeks later I decided to give the whole therapy thing another shot. So I talked to my insurance and again, she looked like the best candidate so I went to her and Set up a time. When I first got there, there were forms on the floor on a clipboard learning against the wall to fill out. I picked them up and started writing in the information. There was a blood spot (or something that looked suspiciously like blood) on the paper, so I stopped filling it out. I mentioned it to her and she nonchalantly said, "well you need to finish filling this out" and handed it back to me. So I did, I was annoyed. Finishing the paperwork was cutting into my 50 min that was guaranteed in the form, so I quickly wrote in the rest. I said "I hope you can read my chicken scratch," again jokingly. Stone faced she said, "probably not". Then she tells me that our meetings only last 45 min, which specifically said in the forms 50 minutes. So immediately, my first impressions were pretty sour. I shrugged it off. I talked, she seemed bored. Like she had to listen to another a-hole for 45 minutes. She chimed in here and there but mostly I talked. I felt like a lot of what I was saying was being judged based on her facial expressions. I still had to work out arrangements for time off from work, so I put our second meeting on hold. Which, I can admit, there was a little confusion with that. We agreed to see each other the following week through email. I arrived to next week and she wasn't there. I called her and left a message, she didn't respond until an hour later leaving a voicemail saying she didn't know we were meeting. And she would just expect me the following week. I met with her two or three times after that with good results. It was fine. I could tell she was warming up to me, but she still seemed cold. When she greeted me, she didn't shake my hand, give hugs... etc. Not that I expect or need that, but I didn't know what to expect from a therapist, but it all just seemed cold. Our last meeting I got there 5 minutes late. I had an important work thing I was dealing with. So I was like, I'm sorry I'm late. "Next time you are late, call me so I know if I should come or not." Okay... maybe I should have let her know I was going to be a few minutes late, but she straight up missed one of our meetings and I didn't hassle her about it. Plus it was 5 minutes. Now if I was 6 minutes late, then I could understand the inconvenience. I emailed her telling her that I was not going to be coming anymore. My first email draft was a little more frustrated but decided to take the high road and write something a little more professional. She never responded, thus this review. I wasn't going to write one but decided that it was such a (not a bad, but not a good) experience, I would share. Looks like she has helped a lot of others, but for me, it caused me a lot of stress.
