I've only been here one time w/ the little ones, but it's quite a nicely built space, I think. Lots of consideration given to the role that this can play, including around food allergies. I believe they have a no-nut policy, which is helpful, and they do sell food that has other allergens, but eating is only allowed in the gated space with the tables, which is a relief in my mind that there's minimal risk of exposure in the common play area. There's another space that's opened up recently in the Plymouth Meeting Mall that I also like, that doesn't really allow food at all, which I appreciate as well, but the openness to food in that one area also lends itself to a longer stay. Having coffee available is also a big plus, as is the snacks that come with the entry fee (for those w/o food allergies, at least). I also appreciate that the entry fee is good for in and out privileges throughout the time it's open. The play space is vast and amenable to all sorts of play across ages, which is really nice. There's opportunity for physical play and pretend play, for toddlers and for bigger kids too. The little ones really enjoyed all of the things available, and there was even some low-key exposure to soccer with a pretty good size goal net. Absolutely a space I would return to with them! Took my Toddler daughter here today and was very disappointed. 1. The place is dirty and disgusting. Her clothes are black after being there for an hour. 2. The toys are broken or do no work. 3. There is technically a lot of things to do but if the items worked (cars, trucks, push toys) then the children would have more to do. 4. Children fighting over toys while parents are on their phones and not paying attention to their children. 5. Not a welcoming atmosphere. I will NOT be back nor would recommend this place to anyone. This place was great. We were in the area visiting my mother-in-law and we came here to let our super hyper baby blow off some steam before moving on with the day. They charged us $6 for our child, and $1 for each adult -- super reasonable for 2 hours of play -- my baby was spent after 1 hour. Pros: Free cut up fruit and cookies, beverages and coffee. A LOT of space!! If you have an active toddler / threenager this would be awesome. Because there's a lot of space, it's perfect for the toy cars and wagons and carts that are there. My baby got to ride in her first toy car!! Lots of seesaws, rubbermaid-y play structures, slides of all sizes, bouncers, tons of faux kitchen sets -- ALL THE EQUIPMENT YOU COULD DREAM OF HAVING BUT DON'T HAVE THE SPACE FOR! Toys range across all age groups of small children. Cons: Verrrry hot. To be fair we went in late June on a day that was in the 90s and of course, the East coast is always humid. The fake-o grass (this facility seems to serve a soccer club as well?) dredges up little black bits, and some of those little bits end up on the toys or mats or the big parachute that laid under the infant toys. This was somewhat annoying because my baby was verrrry interested in putting these little bits in her mouth. Short hours -- 9:30-11:30 on weekdays. I would say 4.5/5 stars if I could. I realize kids are hard on the toys but there were a lot of missing parts, dead batteries, etc. and I know it's hard to keep up with but kids (at least my son) doesn't understand that something is broken or needs batteries. Otherwise it is a great place for an almost 2 year old - lots to play with, big open space, seemed pretty clean to me. We will definitely be back. read more

I never wanted to give anyone less the 5 stars and honestly hate giving Chatter Splatter that as I take the munchkins I watch there constantly! It's definitely a fun space where kids can just be kids! There's a wonderful snack time given by the staff as well as free coffee for the parents and care takers (yes please! The coffee is straight up delicious too). There are so many toys for the kids to play with ranging from infant ages on - ball pits, slides, bounce houses, train cars, everything! It really is a blast! The only reasons I've given it 4 stars is because of the tiny black pieces that are all over the turf. It's gets all over the kids and would be very easy for them to pick up and out in their mouths. Not the best thing for tiny nuggets. We booked Chatter Splatter for a one year old birthday party and we have never been to this place, we only saw the photos on google and read reviews and the price was reasonable for a 2 hour window. We booked on Easter Sunday and arrived around 1:10 and the owners were there, opened up the gate and to our excitement they were actually helping us to set up for the party and bring in food and beverages that we had purchased. When you book a party they give you complimentary juices, fruit cups and coffee and water...but we purchased all of our own goodies, so we didn't really use any of their complimentary items except for a few cups of water. They allowed us to bring in our own food so we purchased our own vegetable tray, fruits, juices, cookies and ordered pizza which was perfect for us because nothing was over priced. This place is huge so if you book an event here you will love it because the whole place is yours for 2 hours! The party price is $385 and the owners are very friendly and welcoming, the entire place is baby proof and kid friendly of course to fit ages from the tiny boppers to teenage. There are two levels, the upper level is geared for the bigger kids and I did not get a chance to go up there but there is a basketball court and a sky zone-style moon bouncer with a court up there as well as other activities. The lower level has soo much to keep the kiddies active, it was such a piece of mind knowing that the whole place was ours and all the kiddies could roam free and we didn't have to look for, and -or worry about anything. The younger kids can play sports, they have have toddler style cars and slides, a few different bouncy houses for the older kids to bounce around in, high chairs, area for a cake and gift table, a select area just for the baby crawlers with an enclosed play pen...did I forget to mention that for a party you are allowed to have up to 36 kids !!! I mean seriously this is seriously amazing that places like this even exist! The bathrooms were neat and tidy and parking was very convenient for us. I would highly recommend this place and use this place again...you are guaranteed to tire your kids out here for sure!!!! .....I hear that Friday nights here are BYOB for the adults, we enjoyed a glass of wine and definitely had a fantastic time. A tip -would be if you book an event here do not spend a lot of money on decorations and a ton of balloons ..you honestly only need to bring a few rectangle table clothes and some balloons and your cake..and you will be good to go. We have been to Chatter Splatter on several occasions - standard play days, fundraisers, special events, and we've even hosted a birthday party there. First and foremost, the owners are very responsive to email inquiries. When we tried to book our twins 2nd birthday, they were booked - but Nykee kept in constant contact with us and we were able to secure a date that had been cancelled by another parent. Our party was great- first and foremost, it's BYO, food and drink (yes, parents, you can have alcohol). We loved this - no over priced pizza or junk you may not want your kids eating. Plus, us adults need a little something to deal with kids in mass quantity. Just Kidding...ok, not really. The two staffers that helped with our party were great. They helped with set up and tear down and were friendly without getting "in the way." I was very impressed with all they did to help us get our party off the ground and running. To this day, our friends still RAVE about our party and we're having their third birthday party there as well (See note below). Seriously, our friends loved it and so did their kids, of all ages. Our friend's son said it was the best party ever. Chatter Splatter has it all- snacks, special fun events you can go back for (our kids loved visiting Santa there and the face painter and balloon artist who worked the party were A+). The parties are reasonably priced and a good time will be had b all. Note: Parties book MONTHS in advance - we called in July to book a February birthday and half the days/times were sold out. BOOK EARLY. It's well worth it!! The only con I can think of is parking can be tight/a bit of pain, but get there early and think twice before going on a school holiday. Also, the standard- some parents just won't watch their kids, but that's at any play place and not a reflection on Chatter Splatter. They do a great job!! read more

We went there about three times. First off let me say this place is adorable and I fell in love it at first But after the last time we won't be returning. I don't like writing bad reviews for small mom-and-pop businesses but I did try to call him several times and no one picked up the phone. First of all the small pieces of rubber from the afro turf are a problem. After children learn how to use their two fingers to pinch, all they want to do is pick up small little items and put them in their mouth; I spent the whole time trying to prevent baby from eating them. Totally unacceptable. Also I have a huge problem with the shoe policy; shoes should not be allowed where the children are playing, shoes go into bathrooms and have c. Diff on the bottom of them and are disgusting for little babies that are crawling. My main reason for the bad review is this. If my child is sick I would not take them anywhere other children are to prevent them from spreading germs. Common sense and common courtesy. I expect that much from the owner as well. However that wasn't the case. We were there on Friday night. The only kids my child's age where the owners grandchildren and they began to play. Soon as I noticed their kids were sick I picked up my child and went to wash their hands. You could see the snot running down their nose. They were visibly sick. They clearly shouldn't have been there spreading germs all the other kids especially since it's their family business. We don't take her child to daycare and she doesn't interact with any other kids I'm 100% certain it was from this interaction. As a result I had to cancel our CHOP allergy appointment that I had been waiting a month for, two days later. And my baby is a mess. No thanks. If you're not conscientious enough to not bring your visibly sick children and you own the business how can I trust that you actually clean the toys. Bye. read more

Nice open indoor playspace good for 6mo - 5 yr at most. I think it's best for 2-3yr olds imo. Friendly staff and they offer complimentary coffee, juice and cookies for kids. Took my 11 mo old, 4 and 6 yr old. I think my 6 yr was too old for this. There were two big bounce houses for her but most toys and ride ons were for younger children. They have a lot of those small little tike plastic slide/playhouses. I'm giving it 3 stars instead of 5, because there two main reasons that bothered me: they don't enforce the no shoes policy on the turf. So, some children and adults are wearing socks no shoes and some wearing shoes. I mean what's the point of that then? You just feel a little grossed out knowing the floors are full of germs from the bottom of peoples shoes and babies are crawling around everywhere. Also there were Tiny black rubber pellets all over the gym tumbling mat and all over the toys. When I asked the staff what this was, she told me it's from the bottom of the astro turf, ok fine.... but if that's the case I feel like they should try their best to vacuum this up before the start of each play session. Crawling babies will be stuffing these into their mouths for sure. That said my eyes were glued to my infant the whole time and couldn't really focus any attention to my older kids. For this reason I'm not sure I'll come back anytime soon. The staff should def take these into consideration and change it. read more

New 10/18 pricing system increased our visit from $7 to $15 dollars. Now that's in the Nest and Lulu's realm for a day visit, might as well subscribe for cheaper to one of them. Astro turf black pieces and grass are a hassle with crawlers. New little ball pit unlike Lulu's is discriminated by the staff for only less than 18m kids, but there is no gate, so easy for old kids to play in there. The staff tells the kids to "Get out, that's for babies." Lulu's ball pit is all ages. The bounce houses are a good selling point, but not for the price. The riding toys are cool, but we'll just wait for the Leverington Church basement's free play in winter. Used to be a viable place to take kids for price, now isn't on our list anymore. read more

Place was a great place for my 2 and 4 year old nieces to run, imagine, play, and jump. Great indoor playground for when the weather is extreme outside. I can't say enough about this place. As a nanny, it is a safe haven! The place is so clean, and I've seen them cleaning the toys! Both bathrooms have changing tables and even high chairs in case you have to put the child somewhere while you go. They give you a snack, juice and coffee included in the price you pay, which the best price around. Some places charge ten bucks per kid. Not Chatter, 8 dollars for the first kids and 6 for any siblings and finally a dollar for an adult. I mean you get as much coffee as you want, how could someone complain about paying a dollar for an adult!! The new baby area is perfect for the little guys and they even help keep your kids safe by keeping the big kids out of that area! The staff is extremely kind and try their best to make every single person happy. The attic is a cute little place and they have a basketball hoop for bigger kids! I heard people complaining when I am there about the little black pieces and it blows my mind, have they never been on a turf before? This is an awesome indoor playground for kids up to about age 5. It is located at the Suburban Sports Center, which is an indoor soccer field. It is a free play area, and there are tons of different activities to keep kids entertained. There are slides, bouncy houses, little tykes cars, balls of all sizes, foam climbing blocks, trampoline, etc, etc. The play area is netted in, so it easy to keep your kids contained to the field area. There is also a little coffee area to sit and relax. Admission is only $6 and includes cookies, fruit and juice for the kids. The only downside is that is only open a few days a week during the morning and I wish it was open on the weekends for us working moms, but they close it for private parties. read more

Today we checked Chatter Splatter out for the first time and my 2+ year old thoroughly enjoyed herself! It has so much room and so many things to play with for all ages. She particularly loved the bounce houses! They give you complimentary coffee and choice for $8 admission and have additional snacks you can buy. We LOVE Chatter Splatter! I have always loved coming here with my 3 year old, but now there are so many great new additions for my 6 month old as well. They have separate baby areas throughout so I can always find a spot for her to have interactive play while still keeping an eye on my 3 year old, who lives for the bounce houses. There's always free coffee, cookies, and fruit cups (cut up for little ones!) and my kids couldn't love it more here. They also started doing BYOB on Friday nights which is so great to let them run around while we have dinner there and then come home with exhausted kids! We have been going to Chatter splatter for last 2 plus years with my almost 3 y/o son. I'm so thankful that places like this exist! My son has a ton of energy and loves to run from activity to to activity! I love the enourmous space and the countless toys, bounce houses, cars, slides, etc. I am guaranteed a great nap after! I think the added bonus of free coffee, juice, fruit and cookies is unique and lovely! It's a great place to go alone with your kids and meet other moms or go with friends. I love all the new updates for the little ones and the increased hours! We can now go before or after nap time. I love that this is a family run business that is constantly looking to improve and make their play space even better. I also love attending birthday parties and charity events at chatter!
