I stopped in today for an asada burrito. I think I got the bigger version of their burrito? (Larger tortilla) anyways, the asada was just okay. I felt like it wasn't seasoned enough. Their salsas were good, I tried all 4 & I wasn't a fan of the salsa they use for chips. It was quite bland, but the other 3 were good. Also, this place was a bit on the pricier side, I paid $19 for a burrito & a bottled coke. Service was good, they're really nice people. Would I come back? Maybe? Maybe not? I have another Mexican place of preference it's just 20 minutes away from home & chavas is 10 minutes away from home. It's convenient, but sometimes flavor is more important than convenience especially when it comes to Mexican food. read more

Whoever is bringing down this businesses reviews should be ashamed of themselves. Awesome tacos!!! The hot green salsa was HOT and fabulous, I could drink it. So good. We got ground beef and carne tacos. I prefer the carne but my kids loved the ground beef. The facility is clean, the employees were wearing gloves and masks. The food was hot and fresh. The price was also pretty decent. For our family of 5, twelve tacos were perfect. I'm sad we're just passing through. I would be here all the time. Thanks!! read more

Similar setup to Chipolte or Moe's (I.e. 'build your own burrito"), but with a more reserved atmosphere and more authentic taste. Service was very friendly and food was good. I have had dinner here 4-5 times in the last 9 months. Every time is fantastic. My favorite is the Naked Bowl...basically a loaded salad. I get 1/2 steak and 1/2 chicken with Spanish rice and nearly every topping. Great food, huge servings...and on the north side. My daughter had a "Naked Chicken Burrito." She said that it tasted like heaven in a bowl. My son had a "Grilled Steak Burrito". He said that it tasted like quality fast food. read more

This place is WAY better than Chipotle!! Food is always fresh and they are super friendly. Major bang for your buck as well. Portions are massive for such a great price. Chavas consistently has the greatest burrito I have ever had. I walk into Chavas at 11:00 and I am out of Chavas with a smile before 11:02. I don't understand why they are so much better than everywhere else. My ideal living condition would be inside a Chavas burrito. I'm going to name my next dog Chavas, after the life changing burrito from Chavas. Chavas burritos taste like an ocean view sunset. There's a grill behind the counter where you can see how they prepare the grilled fare. Choose from tacos, burritos, taco salads and "naked" burrito bowls. Add chicken, pork, chorizo or chicken, along with various options such as black beans, pico, cheese, sauces etc. Finally, be sure to order the house-made "caliente" sauce (on the side) and use with caution! VERY fresh! Very pleased with my visits. I have always gotten orders to go and never ate at the location. I think some of their pricing is a little high esp for someone going to grab a quick meal on their lunch break but it's still affordable.
