When I first began, I had my mom do my taxes with her tax preparer and I did not understand the process of how it was done and her tax preparer would process it wrong at times stating I owed money when I didn't for example. So after that frustration I decided to get help from a friend and they were not completely clear on how to do it and one does not get their highest refund. So then I finally decided to invest in a tax preparer myself last year. I choice H&R black because it was close and I wanted to go on person. I paid a high price only to leave feeling confused about how my taxes was processed. I did not feel comfortable to ask as many questions about what was happening on the screen because when I would, the preparer would quickly answer and then change the subject to ask me questions regarding my personal life.
