A very patriotic pig stand, decorated inside and out with red white and blue. I believe the little…read morerestaurant is veteran owned and operated. It is kind of a shoe string operation, almost a food truck type environment, only with full table service. The restaurant is a combination of what looks to be an old industrial building with an uninsulated shed structure attached. The shed, the lower and larger dining area where you enter, is heated and air conditioned. Grab a table there. Today the AC was working hard. It was comfortable even on this hot muggy day. Nothing fancy here. A functional back street BBQ joint. Very nice and obviously patriotic folks run this restaurant. The lady that served us was pleasant and friendly. The restaurant offers the basics with a little of their own spin on the menu. For me, I tried something different, the Diablo Sandwich. Referred to on the menu as spicey. The lady serving us described it as a version of a Sloppy Joe (chopped brisket, BBQ sauce, peppers and onions). For the sides, I picked Cowboy Beans and Confetti Cole Slaw. The sandwich was very tasty. With several generous applications of the house made Hot BBQ sauce I was able to bring the heat level to what I consider spicey. Same with the beans. The slaw, average. My wife had the sliced brisket with the Rustic Potato salad. A fair serving of tender lean brisket. It had a smokey bark, not covered with an overpowering rub. Good, but she commented that it was a little dry. Sauce was needed. A big dallop of delicious fresh potato salad was her side dish. The restaurant is easy to find. It is a couple of blocks east of Patterson Blvd (HWY 69) on 8th street. Give it a try. Support veteran owned businesses.

I was taken to this little place in Coffeyville called Patriot BBQ. I wasn't sure what to expect,…read moreso I tried to have an open mind. The lady who ran the place, Randi, said sit where you like and brought menus and sweet tea. I'm not a fan of smoked meats but did try the ribs with a side of some heavenly coleslaw slaw. The bone separated from the meat and it was tender. Michelle told me to taste her smoked sausage ‍. She enjoyed the Keiki which was a shredded potato smothered with Cowboy beans, smoked sausage and pulled pork. Randi was great! We placed the order and just barely got a napkin and my sweet tea started when she came with our orders. Michelle had been here before and I'm sure we'll go again!

This is the best haircut I have ever experienced, hands down…read more I had been traveling past this barbershop for days and wondered if I could get a high & tight flat top haircut there. I dug up a photo online and walked into the shop. After showing the picture to a couple of barbers, one declined, but the other accepted the challenge (I think he might have been the owner). I also indicated that I wanted my mustache trimmed and my eyebrows worked on. No problem! What transpired next was beyond my expectations. The usual, affix a cape and off we go. First came the trimming of my length and some shaping. Then a complete shampoo. Back to more shaping and detailing. The eyebrows were next, followed by my mustache. Then, more detailing of my hair and mustache. Clean up around my ears and nose, and we're done. For all the time spent fussing and detailing, you would think I was getting married or receiving an award of sorts. The haircut was $14 and mustache $7 for a total of $21 out the door. They also offer other related services, such as manicure and pedicure, shaving and hair removal, etc. Check their current price schedule in the photo. On my second visit, I opted for both a manicure and a pedicure. I am lousy at both, so I thought Peru I would get it done professionally. I was amazed at all the detail work that was done to make it perfect. Totally amazed! I will seek out this barbershop again when in the area. I I putted the proper information, but for some reason Yelp thought they knew better and changed to address. Located in the El Cangrejo district, here's the address: Calle Eusebio A Morales, El Cangrejo, Edificio Atlantida Local N° 2, Panamá, Panama. I highly recommend!
