This location was slow, so I decided to pull into the drive-thru. The biggest mistake I have made in a while. Part 1: First, the lady taking the order had zero customer service skills. I wanted a lemonade, they were out, I asked for a shake they were out, finally I asked what do you have. Part 2: they had no salt or pepper, and the food was tossed in the bag. This is when I should have asked for a refund. Part 3: I now have food poisoning. It hit me around 2am. This was my 2nd meal for the day. They ignore you if you're not in the drive-thru and if you ARE in the drive thru they'll take forever for your order and STILL ignore you if you have any special requests. Your burger will also come out blackened, charred and unedible with half the fries you ordered and when you ask if they can fix it they'll roll their eyes at you. read more

While staying at the nearby RV park it is waking distance. We waited in the walk up order window for at least 5 minutes while being ignored by 3 employees walking past us. I didn't take it personally until the girl finally came and took my order. Didn't say a word to me . I was very friendly with her as I am with everyone. 34 yrs of customer service experience. She was very rude and cold to me. Ordered Chocolate shakes, I was told only Strawberry available so we went with Strawberry. Boyfriend went up to get spoons he was ignored at the window as the girl at the drive thru was texting on her phone for over 5 minutes. Those employees there obviously have a problem with "White people " It clearly shows. We addressed the Mgr who was a sweetheart ! She says she is new there & she will speak to them about it. She said she will take care of the problem. She said she knew she has to weed out the bad ones ! Didn't get the Mgrs name but she was very kind, & apologized for what we experienced . She also came out to us and said she spoke to the employees, and again apologized for the bad experience. Said they shouldn't be treating customers like this. Some of the workers were friendly, but the gal working the register was a pill. She was not friendly and seemed to go out of her way to give attitude to all five of us, including my Autistic son. The food was fine. I wish she knew the importance of her job and what it means to families who need a meal. My son in particular has a narrow pallet so getting this meal in a timely manner. So we waited for about 10 min before she took our order. We get to the front of the line to pay where we see a lady with bright red hair....the one who yelled thru the mic....physically shove another employee out of the way to yell thru the mic again. She takes our money and gives us our food without a word. This was my first time eating at a Checkers, and if they're all as bad as this one, I'll never go to another one. My two burger patties were over cooked and burnt on the edges and tasted like they were under a heat lamp for a long time. My wife's spicy chicken sandwich was horrible. The chicken was burnt too. Our fries tasted like they were under that same heat lamp and were over cooked too. I've had better burgers at McDonald's. Not impressed at all! read more

Haven't been to Checkers since we move to Texas. Was surprised to see one here near Graceland and just have to get some.

The service was excellent and the food was delicious! 2 big sandwiches for five dollars you can't beat that!!
