You can easily find something for yourself or a wonderful gift. Everything in this shop is locally made and priced right. Such a variety; tea towels, candles, wax melts, popcorn, earrings, t-shirts and more. So many of these stores mark up their offerings and it makes it hard for locals to support local. Not Anabel's. The owner is so friendly and welcoming as well.

Many of the pieces have funny or profound sayings on them that can give you a chuckle. Some of them they even print in house. They've been selling in boutiques around town such as The Bunker, Westside Storey and MASH Handmade. Good news! They're going big time and have opened up their own retail space on Westport Road! The corner storefront is pretty large, and right now I'd say at least 75% of the space is dedicated to production. There are a ton of windows and thus natural light, and it's a clean and airy space that is a pleasure to be in. The merchandise is rather limited but well curated, and a number of other local brands are represented. Off the top of my head I can recall seeing products from local businesses Owl + Mouse, Sandlot Goods and Vintage Edison. This is, of course in addition to a full line of Normal Human's t-shirts for man, woman and child. They're brand new, in fact I don't think they even had a sign when I visited. As they navigate from wholesale to retail, I look forward to seeing what they come up with. I highly suggest a visit to Normal Human.

I have bought nearly every pattern in newborn to toddler sizes. These sweet jammies grow with your little one, extending the life of the outfit. The foldover cuffs on both hands and feet extend its usability and ensure comfort and it is nice to have the option to fold over at nighttime. The magnetic closures make diaper changes quick and silent--an absolute lifesaver during the middle of the night as my daughter has stated numerous times now! Plus, the fabric (modal) is silky soft, breathable, and perfect for sensitive skin. My daughter and son-in-law literally dress the boys in these for daytime and nighttime now because they love them so much. Another recent purchase that was a hit is the Widgeon Polartec fleece coat, which I believe is a must have outerwear piece for infants and toddlers. I wish we had these when my kids were little. The flap-over-flap design with a hook-and-loop closure makes dressing and undressing frustration-free, while the double-layered soft fleece fabric keeps them warm and cozy. It's stylish, functional, easy to put on without a fuss from the boys, and has the hood attached with easy gathering to keep it around their face. The boys do not fuss at all when we put these on them and it is so easy and fast! What makes this boutique truly special is its dedication to exceptional customer service. I went with my sister to try on wedding dresses here in the spring and I have to say I wasn't sure…read morewhat I was walking into as back when I got married I essentially picked out a dress at top shop and called it a day. All of that aside, we had coffees in hand when we walked in for our early morning appointment and out of all the places we went to that weekend I think this one was tied for best overall experience. The first thing I loved, aside from the chic urban setting, was that each bride had her own dressing area that felt very private and despite other women using other areas of the shop our area felt very much ours, and we never even saw another bride which made the pacing relaxed. How the fittings work here is they take the bride to be to the back to pick out styles and learn a bit more about what she's looking for and then they come back and pull back a large curtain so the bride has privacy while dressing, they then reveal and you get a chance to talk through each look. The room was just as pretty as the dresses, it was comfortable, and we had a fun time. You should note that if you come with a drink like we did you will have to table them outside the room, which honestly made sense since we're dealing with some expensive gowns. Overall this wasn't the shop that my sister ended up picking a dress from but everyone was so kind, the dresses absolutely gorgeous and the ambiance so cool, this is a great shop and I'd recommend to anyone I know looking to buy a wedding dress.

I reached out to them and told them the truth, that I had already purchased the dress in California (where I'm getting married) but wanted to be able to have some other members of my family in KC be able to see the dress, so I was hoping to do an accessory appointment / veil shopping at Bride. My mom has already booked a flight from CA to KC for a Friday to Sunday trip (which I told them), and asked if I would be able to get a Saturday morning appointment. They proceeded to tell me that they only do accessory appointments on Tuesday-Thursdays. Odd, but I was hoping with an explanation of my situation, they might be willing to make an exception - they did not. They said that Saturday mornings are reserved strictly for first time bridal appointments, and there was nothing they could do about my scheduling issues, since they only have 2 stylists and not a lot of availability. Mind you, if I had told them that I had not bought the dress already and snagged that first time bridal appointment, and pretended I would be buying it from them, there would not be an issue, but I always like to be honest with people - and they don't care! They said there is absolutely nothing they can do, it is their policy. Mind you, veils are not cheap!!! It's not like I was asking for 3 hours of their time to go in and buy a $50 bracelet... I wanted an hour to be able to try on the dress and some different accessories and veils, and I was more than willing to give them my business, because shop small right! NO. They said for accessory appointments they can only book me on a Tuesday-Thursday and I only get 30 minutes... 30 minutes is all you can give me when I'm about to spend $$$$ on accessories for the dress? AND they're only open until 6... So you're telling me I need to come straight from work (30 minutes away) where I already feel gross and not in the mood to be happy and excited and I better make a decision in 30 minutes? I understand that there are rules, and that they can run their business however they want, but I was so disenchanted with the whole thing and their utter lack of leniency that even though they're the only store that has the dress in KC, I will not be giving them my business. They were not overtly rude to me, but my favorite thing about shopping local, and shopping small is that they usually are able to bend the rules and help you out since they are the ones in charge. Apparently, Bride does not feel this way. So word to the wise - only ever tell them you are doing a first time bridal appointment if you want them to actually help you and treat you well.

Ricca Sposa is such a unique experience that I fell in love with the second dress I tried on there. I had a very specific vision for what I wanted in a dress that I couldn't find at the other three stores I went to. Here I am able to work with the designer to customize several details on the dress as it's being made! One thing I also enjoyed about the appointment was that I had the entire shop to myself. It is a small boutique with very unique gowns. If that's what you are looking for (I was), then I would highly recommend this place! I am so grateful it was recommended to me!

Ricca Sposa saved my wedding and bridal experience. I originally ordered my Pronovias dress from a…read morelocal St. Louis bridal shop on 2/10/24. I was originally told that it would arrive in June. Then it turned into July, then October, and still nothing as of November 2nd. Went to the store and told me that it wasn't supposed to ship until November 13th with an unknown arrival date. After 9 months of waiting and empty promises, and only 6 months to go until my wedding day, I cancelled the order. After some research, I found Ricca Sposa to be the next closet Pronovias retailer - 4 hours away. Karina was amazing with everything being handled over the phone. She reassured me through the whole process and was extremely responsive with any questions I had. Without asking, they lowered the price to almost match the previous purchase cost from the other store. I ordered my dress in the afternoon of 11/2 and it already arrived to their store in the afternoon of 11/11. Karina was kind enough to call me the minute the dress arrived and sent a quick video before sending it off. It arrived at my house less than 24 hours later. As excited as I was, I forgot to message her and inform her of the arrival. She emailed me at 7 am this morning (the next day) to make sure I received it. I truly can't express how grateful I am for Karina making my dream dress become a reality during a stressful time.
