They flawlessly served 180 guests during our 1.5 hour cocktail hour and 4.5 hour reception, and every drink was delicious. Eduardo worked closely with us to customize our signature cocktails and even created a personalized menu that perfectly matched our wedding theme. They went above and beyond by decorating the bar with black bows and including custom cocktail stirrers with our initials -- such thoughtful touches that made everything feel extra special. Their candy shot was AMAZING and definitely a guest favorite. But the real hit of the night was their shot cart and the light-up "Just Married" sign -- it kept the party going and had everyone so excited and engaged all night long! Our guests could not stop raving about how friendly, personable, and fun the bartenders were. On top of that, they were punctual, professional, and made the entire experience completely stress-free. However, I definitely don't think that anymore. I am incredibly grateful I enrolled, despite what I had heard, and finished the course! Not only did I receive hands on experience by practicing in their mock bar, but I also was able to learn all types of cocktails, alcohol types, brands, and liqueurs etc quickly. For someone like me, I like to make sure I know how to do things before I get thrown into situations; learning as I go in a work setting can be nerve-wracking so I was very pleased to be able to build up confidence in my pours and counts before I started bartending events. For me, this type of training was imperative before attempting to work at a restaurant. NBS staff is knowledgeable as it gets when it comes to the craft. They're there to encourage and help you whenever you have questions while practicing, which has been helpful to me. They don't just teach you how to make drinks, but they also educate you on how to address customer service situations too (i.e. a very drunk customer and needing to cut them off). They touch all bases in this course. The lessons are very easy to take in and the class schedules are flexible to your own needs. You could finish the course in two weeks if you really put your mind to it, or you can take it slower like I did. Either way, I'm very happy with my decision to have gone to NBS. I've learned so much and now I have been working steadily for events for them! Don't let people tell you bartending school isn't worth it! It definitely is!
