The first time I went to chefs gallery I thought it was expensive and a little over rated. However, I've gone back a few times since and the quality has definitely elevated. Favourite dishes are definitely the duck roti and spinach noodles with mushroom. The wagyu beef was also perfectly cooked and tender which is hard to find in an Asian restaurant. I really enjoyed dining here and the staff were very friendly throughout our dining.

Sweet n sour pork

The menu has you spoilt for choice. It's always entertaining to sit and look at the noodlers as they noodle their noodles. The sweet and sour pork is nice, but the batter is a little too thick and stodgy. It's a bit pricey for the taste and quantity that you get in comparison to most other Chinese places, but nice decor and attentive staff kiiinda makes up for it.

Handmade spinach noodles

Seems like dishes are generally designed to share, so you'll probably want to order a few dishes. Full of flavour but a bit too oily for my liking. If you're visiting for the first time, I'd recommend sticking to the signature dishes. Otherwise you can be a little adventurous and try the Handmade spinach noodles, they are delish!!

Review Highlights - Chefs Gallery

She was very sweet and informative, I ended up ordering the SN7: Marbled Beef sipped in spiccy Sichuan soup with handmade spinach noodles, shimeji mushrooms and carrot sticks (extra spicy!!!).

They have a Large Sign for dress code in order to gain entry. The door staff are very nice and pleasant processing you through the door before you can go upstairs to the restaurant. The serving staff are very nice and friendly, and they bring the dishes around for you to choose from. You have a great view of the water from the window. We ordered the usual fare, BBQ pork bun, Sticky Rice, Sui Mai, Shrimp Dumpling, Rice Noodles, Chicken Feet, Egg Tarts. They charge tea per person, but will be waive based on the staff's discretion. Coming from Vancouver, the quality of food is just average, nothing really amazing. Price wise, it was expensive, for 10 people, eating the same items in Vancouver, this meal will be about $80, whereas in AUS$ over 200 dollars. If you want Free Wifi, you have to go downstairs to the office and ask for a code, which only lasts 30 minutes. We come here more for convenience as they have easy access for handicap restrooms for my 97 years old grandmother.

Steamed BBQ pork bao is the litmus of every dumpling house and here is no exception - soft, fluffy bun, moist and salty-sweet filling. The mango pancakes are also excellent - sweet insides wrapped around by delicate, paper-thin yellow pancakes. Only negative is the chilli sauce - it has no heat (obviously aimed at an elderly, gweilo patron). Ask for XO sauce, chopped chilli in soy sauce or chilli oil instead.
