When in Fairbanks . . . play bingo! I liked the hominess of this place, compared to the bingo parlors in Las Vegas. We used machines and daubed paper. There were only 5 games played at that Saturday night session. The numbers are called at a slow rate, allowing sufficient time to daub numerous cards. The place was clean. I can't believe that one of my favorite moments in Alaska was playing bingo in this Chena Bingo shop. The players and staff there were so lovely&friendly. I had tons of fun and it was very very cheap compared with LA. Not to mention that we won our first game. It's beginner's luck. Price: $4 for one package(7 sheets), each sheet has 6 games, $25 for machines and you can add more $. Rules: every 30 seconds will call the number. The prize was big, between $400-$1000 for each game. The grandma and grandpa players knew it was our first time playing bingo. They walked to our table and taught us tips. It's nice to take a break from all the outdoor activities. Grab some food and play bingo with those cute local people, plus the room is big and warm. What a great experience! Really fun time and decently priced. Clean wise it's alright. Food other people had looked good. The workers were ready to help you. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars knowing I will probably go back is the coughing; I couldn't tell if it was from smoking or being sick. But it was constant through out the bingo time and was a turn off to wanting to eat there. So to end the review good time yes something fun to do; just be aware. read more

Well we are at it again before we leave. We're trying our luck one more time as Lady Luck kicks dirt and ink in our faces. The workers are very nice. They like the people here as they do door prizes and also 50/50 tickets for cash. They also have pull tab scratch offs. The bingo hall looks like it can fit 300 people easily and it's pretty full. I was hoping for a lot less people as my odds would then go up. Nope still got killed. Today they announced my birthday and gave me a mug with a back scratcher in it. That was very sweet of them to do that. They even gave us our first 2 Dabbers to play with. Free!!! I'd come back again to play if I lived here. read more

Are you new to the area? Vacationing through? Want to experience something new? This is the bingo hall for it! In fact I may have been way over my head my first time here. This place is poppin every night and you will immediately stand out as a newcomer. Theres a very local feel to the place, with everyone knowing everyone. These people dont mess around though, and are very very serious about their bingo. I have a newfound appreciation for those that can maintain 6 bingo sheets simultaneously, it was one of the most stressful events of my life. Despite all these hiccups I dont regret trying it out. Chena bingo is extremely popular, and I was intimidated by how serious everyone was and how much $$ they were dropping, but you'll never get such a real experience anywhere else.
