This place is great. It harks back to the fruit and veg stores of yesteryear. A fresh and colourful variety of fruits, outrageously cheaper than the supposedly cheap fruits of the supermarkets. As you carry home your giant bags of grapes which were £1 each and so many carrots you may never notice night-time again; you can be sure you've got a good deal.
The guys and girls who run it are no nonsense, very friendly people. It's nice to have a real human dealing you fruit and veg rather than the guy in Tesco who won't help you because it's not his department, or because he's depressed and desperately wants a transfer to Sainsburys.

This is the reality of having a small business in the modern age; you gotta fight with everyone else. But with about four supermarkets within walking distance, it's great to see this new business not only surviving, but thriving. They deserve it. If you're in the area, get your fruit from them. read more
