Cheri Top has been one of my favorites for years! I love their tenderloins, onion rings, fried chicken! The service is usually great! One time our ticket got lost or something. It was a mess for a minute but we got our freshly made breaded tenderloins and were given tickets for free ice cream cones! You don't have to clean up to go because you can sit in your car and the carhop comes to you! If the weather is beautiful you can sit in the large screened in porch! It's locally owned! And has a hometown feeling! read more

I ordered a cheeseburger with lettuce tom n mayo and a marshmalliw shake i never had a cheesburger that good ate every bit n the shake was wonderful !! I will def be going back. the service was great well worth trying it out!! read more

Won't even answer phone to say there open or to place a take out order. Their web page said they were open. No answer 25 minutes after they were suppose to be open. Ended up going elsewhere! read more

Onion rings are delicious. Hamburger was tasty too. Highly recommend stopping by one evening.

We had excellent sundays - a chocolate and a strawberry - which included the whipped cream, chopped peanuts and cherry on top for a little over $5. What a deal and as I remembered, great soft serve ice-cream. We didn't try the food but the outside enclosure had people eating as well as a full parking lot. Next time will try their tenderloin and "damn near famous" (according to another Yelper) homemade onion rings. Yum! The peach shake sounded enticing as well...My 5 stars are based on the ice-cream and the service. Sweet girl and fast! read more

Cheri Top is a Muscatine staple and is packed when they open for the season so my co-worker and I waited a week for things to settle down before ordering in for lunch. I love the drive in feel of it. I've always loved eating in the car. I honestly couldn't tell you why so maybe that's why I love it so much. They also have an enclosed patio which is nice on a great day like today. I ordered the grilled chicken which was a good size and delicious af and their amazing onion rings. A full order is massive so if you're up for a challenge, by all means order up. I got my car hop/ cherry popped/ at the Cheri Top. That's right; it's an old school drive in Ponyboy! I expected to see greasers and socs. The style is very 50's. At a drive in restaurant customers park their cars and are served by staff who walk out to take orders and return with food, encouraging diners to remain parked while they eat. You can actually order inside if you're on foot or bike or want food to go. The food is average fast food stand and ice cream. I got fries and a chocolate shake. The place was fun for a throwback; the food is mundane, so Cheri is only good for a fling. read more

A local favorite that can get crazy busy on nice summer nights. It's a drive-in where car hops serve you while you sit in your car. Or you can sit in their screened-in area. Lots of fried food, but it's great! Tenderloins are awesome, catfish is great and the homemade onion rings are damn-near famous! Ice cream cream treats are great too. When it's busy don't expect super fast service, but it's worth the wait - you can always call your order in ahead of time too. And it may seem crazy, but they have the best fountain pop in town! read more

Takes way too long to get food and ice cream. I went there for a malt and a small dish of ice cream, and waited over an hour.

I have no review for the food. My children and I normally just make quick stops for ice cream cones and shakes, so 4 stars on that. May have to find time to try their food sometime. read more

I'm a long time Cheri top fan so when I saw it open today I stopped. Big mistake. It took 20 min to place our order and another 40 min to get our food. Tenderloin was the worst greasy cardboard I could imagine. Cheeseburger was just as tasteless. Cheese balls were filled with grease and had the taste of old oil. French fries were a pile of greasy mush. You might already guess I won't be going back. Big waste of hard earned money! read more

The owners I had an argument with on social media, because I believe it to be an inconvenience to people who only have a card with them, and prefer not to carry cash, in case of losing it in pockets. I know it might be a hassle of the waitresses, but if thought about it would make it easier on the customers...And I have seen it where the person could use their phones, smartphones to get a little thing to put into the headphone jack, and wallah, you have your card payment system.. And then its not such a hassle...Many places are going to cards only, or with technology advancement it will be like no need for cash, cuz money will be all on a card... But other than that friendly services, decent prices, and pretty damn good food, although unsure of the reason for early closing last season, still good place to get a bite to eat!! Location, maybe not-so convenient, but many are willing to go the distance to get everything so great!!! read more
