Prachyl called me back, we discussed it, and I am convinced he did ALL he could do for her and her death was as surprising to him as to me.

From first call to leaving office from first visit, this was a great first impression. Our animals will be back! Thanks for great service!

I called ahead to explain that I needed to euthanize my 15-year-old dog. He was suffering from…read moresevere pain, incontinence, significant hearing and vision loss, and could barely walk or move. His quality of life had deteriorated to the point that our entire family was heartbroken watching him suffer. When I arrived, instead of handling the situation with compassion and professionalism, the staff wanted to debate whether I should rehome him and repeatedly emphasized that he was my responsibility. If euthanasia was something they were unwilling to consider. During the examination, the staff appeared confused about the source of some bleeding and seemed uncertain about what was causing it. Meanwhile, my dog cried out in pain every time he was touched. Watching him suffer while feeling that the staff lacked both urgency and compassion was incredibly distressing. What made this experience even more difficult was that I was in the middle of moving my mother into assisted living that same day. I was already overwhelmed emotionally, dealing with a heartbreaking situation involving my mother's declining health, and I expected at least a basic level of empathy and professionalism from the veterinary staff. Instead, I felt judged, dismissed, and treated without compassion during one of the most difficult days of my life. The experience was upsetting and left me feeling that my dog's suffering was not handled with the care, respect, or professionalism that such a situation deserved.
