I am extremely disappointed with Angelina Animal Hospital…read more My 2-year-old dog has been suffering from worsening vomiting and bloody diarrhea for the last couple of days, and tonight it became much worse. Because your website clearly states that you offer 24/7 emergency services, I called expecting at the very least some level of urgency, compassion, or guidance. Instead, I was essentially told "good luck." When a pet owner is scared, desperate, and trying to get help for an animal in pain, that kind of response is incredibly unprofessional and completely lacking in empathy. If a hospital advertises emergency availability, there should be a reliable system in place to either provide care or direct pet owners to immediate help -- not dismiss them in one of the most stressful moments possible. I understand emergencies can be busy, but the total lack of concern for my dog's condition was unacceptable. No pet owner should be left feeling abandoned when their animal is sick and actively suffering. I see why there rating is so low! This place does not seem legit! Good luck Angelina County! What's worse is I was 10 minutes from the establishment and started heading that way once the person on the phone told me that they were talking to their supervisor about meeting me arrived on site and seeing people inside the building. And she told me basically good luck that they couldn't help me. If possible, I would leave a "0" star! After reading the other "0" stars I see an astonishing pattern here. They do not offer 24 hour service! Something needs to be done about this place. Like it needs to go out of business sooner than later.

its absolutely obvious that the 4/5 star ratings are fakes done by the employees emails and not…read morecustomers. It cost over 1100 and I never spoke to a vet when the 4mo old puppy was brought in about the diagnosis from a dog attach inthe mouth of the puppy he stayed in the fsility for two days and when i went to pick up the puppy never saw the VET-- so i was seen by title of Vet Tech -- these are not licensed Vet techs as they claim they lied _ just researched the Texas sate vet data base. I had in depth questions on the ongoing care that flustered the so called assistants Vet tech by title only no certification. So the belly ached to the vet about my questions what it was is that i called them out on their incompetence so the Vet finally saw me not to talk about the puppy or the ongoing care BUT that if i am challenging their care I could go elsewhere--after paying 1100 i asked for a copy of vet notes and the care given over two days they charged me $25 for 4 page copy - piss poor customer interface- incompetence - and fabrications. I found a stray kitten at my job yesterday, unfortunately, I was not able to keep her, but I wanted…read moreto at least get her through the night and see about treatment for today. This morning she wasn't doing so good so I called around, the emergency hospital was the only place available to see her in a timely manner. They told me their fee was around 300 and something dollars just to get an examination on her once I brought her to them, The technician said that she would need a lot more care than what it seems to be like regarding maybe a blood transfusion and that her temperature was very low so the starting cost would be around $1200 and then it would just go up from there depending on what the doctor says. Since I wasn't going to be able to keep her, I wasn't necessarily ready to pay a large amount of money to get her the treatment she was needing since I just found her and wasn't able to keep her. I wish animal hospitals had the desire to help animals in distress instead of requesting large amounts of money and doing treatment asap. I understand if it is dire and the animal might need a lot of medical treatment which could raise the price up but I feel like they were extremely high and there was nothing I was able to do. I asked her opinion on what she thought and she said if I couldn't pay to help get her the treatenant as it was my responsibility to pay since I brought her in the other option would be to just euthanize her. It just kind of made me sad as the whole point of me getting her treatment was to get her another chance at life. so I had to do the hard thing and say I didn't want any treatment and I was going to call around to another vets to see if there was anything they could do differently unfortunately she did pass within the next 20 minutes after leaving the animal hospital. Please be careful where you take your animals seeking treatment, even if it might be a stray who is in need. I hope there are some clinics out there who have the desire to help animals who they could are in distress without asking for a large amount of money up front! This will be my last time coming here. I've been here before with my first cat that I had and I paid over $1200 for them to tell me she had a cold and just needed some rest. I don't believe I ever even got any medication for her so this will definitely be the last time I will be going here.
