The advice we received from teachers at school to read more at home didn't seem to be helping, and my husband and I though often about holding her back a year to "catch up". After her initial assessment, we felt, for the first time, that our daughter had actually been seen. They were able to identify the very specific areas she was struggling, so we quickly had a plan to help her develop the skills she needed to bring her up to grade level. It was comforting to know we were investing our time helping her in the areas she needed it most. 3 years later, our girl is thriving in school. It's so much fun to see things click for her as she accesses the tools she's acquired at GradePower. She now loves to read and will even read out loud in church or class, and feels confident amongst her peers. GradePower has a system that works, and our time there would have been worth it for the academics alone. What I didn't expect was the amazing relationships we would also develop. The teachers there truly love my girl. They didn't see her as a "problem student" like the teachers at school. They saw her strengths and potential, and they poured into her to help her grow. I have always felt like the teachers and staff have been on her team. It truly is such a special place, and we are so grateful!

This school made me discover my passions and really let me focus on what I am interested in. Over all I found the school crowded unorganized and inpatient.

Best swim lessons and swim instructors we've had!…read more It's an outdoor pool and they're only open during the summer months. My daughter has done swim lessons elsewhere and hasn't enjoyed them, the water has been too cold or the instructors are just not pushing her enough. Susie's swim school has excellent instructors, the pool is nicely heated and they push the kids just enough to get them advancing without leaving them with a bad pool experience. It's a 2 kid to 1 instructor ratio with up to 4 kids and 2 instructors in each class. Classes are 30 minutes long Monday - Thursday and $40 per week. This year, you had to register by Wednesday for the following week. My daughter absolutely loved going to swim lessons! It'll be tough finding another place like this during their off season.

Since expanding into their center location, Skies The Limit Christian Academy has continued to exceed our expectations. Aggression and lack of attention span seem to be our biggest challenges. Within 2 weeks of starting BB , we had a kid that for the first time in his life got up and got ready for school on his own. Overall Tantrums decreased from a 10 to a 3. He started to verbalise his emotions (including gratitude which has never happened before!) His piano teacher commented to me that the change in him was drastic and he could make it through the lessons for the first time without issues. Basically I wish I had done this instead of wasting years in useless OT and behavioural therapy. This program actually changed his brain and results were beyond our expectations. We continue to work with our team and go back as needed when challenges arise. Love the owner and staff- truly an amazing place!!!
