ZERO STARS! THIS PLACE IS A LEGIT SCAM! DO NOT COME HERE! The positive reviews are probably from "friends" and "family" of the staff working here! First and LAST time coming here. Came here because I was looking for a professional business that would be honest and transparent about how they process the paperwork. However, after dropping off my paperwork they took like 3 weeks to get back to me on a possible finalized date to process taxes. To my surprise they send me an email so I can electronically sign and they wanted to charge me $400!!! Mind you I'm a part time college student whom was only worked part-time year of processing taxes! When I asked why SO MUCH? They said they would have Yessenia call me and get back to me. Yesenia NEVER called me. I called again the following week and still NO resolution on the issue. Frank told me it might be because Yesenia tried to submit extra forms on my behalf ? Which is not my problem I wasn't even getting back a huge return. I did not even give them extra forms or anything else they can add to maximize my return because I wanted to have an easy and fast process. After about 4 weeks of trying to contact Yesenia, regarding why they wanted to charge 400$, Frank got back to me and said it was a MISTAKE on their end. I wonder how many other people they overcharge "out of mistake"!!! Luckily I read everything before signing and was not ok with that price. I ended up paying $200 which is still insanely high, but did not want to spend any more of my time or energy on this place. I will warn all my friends and family of this SCAM place! read more

June 22 and I received a call saying that once again they needed my school tax forms because the IRS was requesting it. Frank justified themselves by saying they had been trying to process my refund without the form because they didn't want to bother me but it would now be necessary for me to bring it in. Here I am June 23 and the girl at the front wasn't sure what form was needed (luckily I took them all in). People communicate better! Hopefully now after being here for the 3rd time and several calls and several follow up emails, oh and $198 later I'm able to get my refund! read more

I've been coming to Cherry Income Tax 10+ years. I've been to many other Tax offices prior to Cherry Income Tax but unfortunately had bad experiences. All I ask is that my taxes are filed correctly to avoid any issues with the IRS. I personally don't mind how much I'm paying someone to file my taxes because that's obviously not my area of expertise. I've emailed the office on random occasions throughout the year requesting certain copies from my taxes years prior and they responded right away with exactly what I requested which I highly appreciated because it shows how efficient and organized this office is. I read the 1 - Star review from previous person and sounds to me just because she referred several friends she wanted her taxes to be done for free. Tax form have to be entered in an electronic system that cost money to maintain,electronic check, office expenses and so on. Some people just want things done for free. We had a 11:30 appointment today. Went in, and came out in a good amount of time . Yesenia gave us so much knowledge when it came down to filing our tax returns and claiming dependents. She made us feel like we were no strangers to her even though we were first toke clients. I gave Yesenia lots and lots of business cause I know a lot of people but one year I decided to go through the fees which I never really paid much attention to and to my surprise I was appalled by the fees being charged. I never really paid much attention to the fees because it was taken electronically from my tax return, after seeing the amount of over $250 dollars for a "returning customer" who didn't really have any changes I was upset. I emailed her to let her know my disappointment from her fees and she wrote back with a generic response which really offended me because after so many years we had built a relationship but obviously money is more important to some people. Could not agree more with Lupe N. She over charges. Put it this way, for a short form you will be paying over $200, ridiculous. The general cost for that, is an average $75 dollars in any other office or cheaper. Put it this way the bigger your return the more money she'll charge you I guess she feels you need to pay her more if she gets you more money. But that's not the case people, take it from me people, you can get the same or more money from other honest tax people. I used to go here and stopped going because of their fees. Don't throw your money away people. I don't mind paying but I hate when people abuse and take advantage of others. read more

Completely Satisfied! I have been going to other local tax services because of the long lines I see; I figured they must be good because of that. I ended up at Cherry Income Tax after my car broke down at their doorstep, I thought I would give this place a shot, since I had time to kill. Cherry is the place to go for taxes!; although hard to find parking sometimes, it is worth it! :) Yesenia was completely helpful. I had to post this because I heard a customer complaining, but Yesenia (one of the Tax preparers) explained to this customer clearly what she had misinterpreted from another Tax service in the area; she kept her calm; having done my own tax preparation before, she addressed her issue and she not only made that customer walk away happy; after learning something new that her old tax service didn't bother mentioning, I myself left confident, and very happy with the services she provided me. My brother who owns a local business has also taken his taxes to Cherry, after talking to them he walked out with not just -numbers, but a better understanding of how to prepare for taxes when running his business. Cherry goes out of their way to explain everything other business fail to do. So if you have to wait; since it's a small mom and pop shop, it's worth it!!!
