Went here recently on a Mom's Weekend Away to Chesapeake Beach with a few other moms in our play group. We had so much fun here at the marketplace we came twice on our trip! There's so many nooks and crannies to look in, and passageways, it can be hard to find everything and easy to get lost. I got a few things and will definitely be back. read more

I wish I could give you a full overview of this place, but when I visited, not everything was open. With that, this was a pretty spread out and vast business that definitely takes some time to discover everything. When I visited, the auction house was not open, that is the part that I cannot speak on. I am sure that that portion of this place is lively and maybe a bit overstimulating. As the rest of this place is overstimulating, but in a good way. I came here in hopes of finding a furniture piece and maybe just something that was funky to bring home. I want to say that I got lost within the stalls that they have throughout. Once you think you are done with a portion of it, you go around a corner, or see a door, and then you're into a whole new area. I spent so much time here that I got overwhelmed. I left, and then came back in the same day to see if I had missed anything. Lord, was I able to look over items that were kind of hidden in the background. Being from Pennsylvania originally and moving to the DC region, I find that a good thrift shop/antique store is missing in the area. This definitely filled the void and allowed for me to at least put it on my radar for future trips. read more

The store is wonderful, and I used to love going there. The owner is nice when she wants to be. Most of the time she is a bit moody, other times she is really nice, and I enjoyed talking to her. I am a 20-year-old woman and most of the time woman elder to me are not kind towards me like the owner. One day I left in tears because she was so rude to me and I haven't been back since. I used to love going there on weekends but, now I take my business elsewhere. read more

My happy place! I love visiting the Market Place and never leave empty handed. There are some booths with toys that my 3 sons shop from and some freeze dried candy that we purchase as well. Theres so much antique furniture, unique decor pieces and trinkets. I have purchased a stained glass lamp, an antique dresser, a his and hers chair set, and a beautiful vanity tray from here, all of them were reasonably priced! Staff is always friendly. Be sure to check out the outdoor shops as well, there's a retro video game place, an electronics repair place, a knife shop, a thrift store and another place that sells more furniture and garden things. read more

Bought from this auction house on HiBid. The auction said shipping available in the auction information. They also provided contact information if you needed shipping quotes upfront. I didn't care what the shipping price was so did not contact for a quote. I waited for a reasonable amount of time for my winnings to arrive when they did not I've tried to reach out via telephone and email to auction house numerous times with no response. I love this place, it is a treasure hunt. Make sure you go to the back and upstairs. We live in the DC area and it is worth the drive. One of the best and biggest antique malls in Maryland along with super reasonable prices from many of the vendors. read more

We are regulars here. It's a relatively large complex. It has an antique mall with stalls containging consignment items, small shops that sometimes grow like Cindy's did into their own stores (Vintage Treasures now on Solomons -- awesome!), the auction house and the potter's church. It's probably one of the best antique malls in the area. At the Friday auctions (and sometimes Saturday plant or grocery auctions), I'd bring earplugs because Larry is LOUD. If only it was a better kept secret so the prices would be lower for everything. We like it. read more
