The owner and operator was most inviting and helpful. I only spent about 30 minutes inside but observed so many items that were inviting and worthy of another trip. I was able to purchase some items for upcoming events and admired several others. The shop even has sensory toys for children that could benefit from sensory toys. The shop has a set of handcrafted items by young artist as well as teas by an organization called Skirted Soldier - which is a female Veteran Owned company. I cannot wait to try the Cold Weather Gear tea (gingerbread house black tea). This bag of loose tea includes tea bags. Nice touch! I enjoy shopping and supporting local and/or small businesses. This house contains quite an extensive collection of things from food items, vintage to handmade goods. It's like as if Etsy did a pop-up here. On the ground level, you can find local ice cream, meats from a local farm and other homemade goods like jams and sauces. Browsing in there makes it fun too as the items are displayed in the different rooms throughout. Every corner you turn there is something new! I saw some really beautiful items, some funny ones too. I needed to get out of the DC Metro area so I could have some sanity while shopping. I somehow ended up down in this area and decided to stop at as many thrift and antique stores as I could. This one was a bit confusing for me (parking wise). I wasn't sure where I was to park, as the small lot next to it was full and I didn't think I was allowed to go around the back. I ended up parking across the street at a closed business and walked over here. When I approached the front of the business heading to the door I was greeted by one of the employees. I usually hate having to make small talk and will try to go out of my way to avoid it, but it came easily with this employee. She was pleasant and we spoke about the weather and what not. Once inside, I completely lost track of what I was here to look for. See, when they have cats up for adoption, I just don't remember a damn thing. What was fun was the cats wondering about in the space. It was so distracting (in a good way) to have them rubbing up against you demanding pets. I interacted with the cats more than I browsed. When I did browse, I found that they have a good mix of items and definitely warrants a revisit. But on this visit, I didn't find what I was looking for.

I was so impressed by that! Oh and there is a beer garden on the other side of the wall - you can actually walk into it from SOF! I absolutely love the layout of this place though it is not ADA compliant to say the least - the top floor is only accessible from tight little stair cases with steep stairs but once you get up there, there are so many things to look at from crystals to stickers and garden decorations aplenty! I am just super impressed that they're able to figure out how to charge us for everything - they have a pretty sophisticated system because you bring everything up to the front cashier and they figure it all out for you - technology is great!!! I loved all of the stocking stuffers I was able to pick up - so many small items that are reasonable priced and perfect to fit in a stocking, Easter basket, Hanukkah gift...you name it!!!

I always find stuff for my 5 kids when I go there. The prices range on the higher side for consigned stuff, but you can usually find good deals and everything is cheaper than retail.
