There are enough parking spots in the front and back. Their orientation protocol is very organized. The principals and faculty are on top of everything. The teachers are straightforward with emails and classes. So far I am impressed with everything about Hugo Owens Middle School and what they have to offer.

Oscar Smith's football team was a contender in the semi finals against Colonial Forge (Stafford, VA). The stadium is well constructed. It features a large home seating section as well as a good size visitor seating area. There are two concession areas, as well other vendors (food trucks) on site for the spectators. The field itself is beautiful and it seems well maintained. I am not sure how long the field has been in existence, but it's been at least 5 years and the stadium is still in great shape. Inside the school, the gym is spacious as well! It seems as though OS takes care of their facilities and they also have plenty of parking on site. If you're in the area, you will not be disappointed at the sporting venues here. Have fun and enjoy life :)

They want to band phones from schools because they don't want to show how bad they treat our children when we are not around. you child is In trouble if they was asked to respond to a teacher and they are in trouble if they don't. this school system is bogus and unfair to our children child hood.

This is Deep Creek homecoming and where they use the Junior High for there football field..this is…read morea very old field that should be replaced , however there may not have the funds or the budget to This the stadium.This field was here when I graduated over 41yrs ago and still standing.It could stand a new paint job on the surface for a better appearance. The concession stand is now housed in a trailer.The food lines are were to long during the game and doubled during half time. They offer hotdogs, hamburgers, chicken sandwiches,nacho's and a variety of drinks and candy...they don't have a area in the trailer to cook the food, so the use two large gas grill,that sat off from the trailer, where they prepare the food. The food is very .Overall the game was great and the halftime presentation of the king and queen was nice. It was kinda strange not to see the display of floats and no class and spirit from the students.The cheerleaders are very differents,they do a lot of shaking of their bodies and no skilled cheering, I guess times have changed...the competition cheerleads performed and they where very good. It's nice how they combined both junior and varsity cheerleads during the games , and or after halftime.Now the band, as a ex flag carrier,I was totally shock with the performance,they actually have a make on the square. Deep Creek band has always been awarding in the competition area of performing and still receiving numerous awards. Overall being that is the age of millennium everything is changing.
