Situated at the rear of the Gamekeepers lodge pub in the Bellingdon road..Wow, this place is tiny !Some great local artifacts which give an insight into the industry and social history of Chesham. There is a permanent exhibition called very quaintly 'Boots Beer,Brushes and Baptists' and there are other displays of machinery, woodenware, tools ,and maps. Local schools or families can organise an educational visit with a guide and participate in age targetted activities .There is a large collection of local period photographs which can be viewed on a computer. I would say that this is not up to the standard of todays Museums and that it probably would not keep the interest of young children but for anyone with an interest in local history or with a reason to study it, it is a fabulous and important resource. read more
