We sought advice from a private consultant, who recommended the Woodlynde summer program for him after second grade. By the end of the four-week summer camp at Woodlynde, the transformation in our son was truly remarkable. He made significant strides in reading and math, and he also formed genuine friendships. In just four weeks, Woodlynde began to restore some of the confidence he had lost. The transformation was so dramatic that we decided to enroll him at Woodlynde for the fall. Now in eighth grade, our son attends a school staffed by dedicated professionals who genuinely care about each student. The student-to-teacher ratio in classes like reading comprehension, Wilson reading, writing, and math is 1:5 or less. There's no one blending into the background in these classrooms. Before and after each unit, teachers track progress carefully to see how the students are doing; it's a truly outstanding school. I wholeheartedly recommend it to all parents.

The theater has always been a passion of mine. I remember being a nervous 5th grader with just two lines in the spring play, but by my senior year, I was confidently performing on stage in front of the entire school. My teachers were incredible in helping me conquer my fear of public speaking, and I quickly became quite skilled at it. I also played violin in the instrumental program for years. My teacher, Doc Simmons, was fantastic! A few of my closest friends are people I met in that room. The overseas trips to Greece and Quebec were something else. Traveling with your classmates and teachers changes how you see the world and how you see each other. Those weeks are some of my favorite memories. Honestly though, it was the everyday stuff that mattered most. Teachers who knew my name and what I cared about. Friends I've had since I was nine. A place where trying something new felt normal instead of scary. I left the school feeling confident, curious, and completely prepared for the adventures of real life after graduation. That's all thanks to this wonderful school!

I can't recommend this school enough. My daughter was unable to function in a mainstream school and…read morethe staff and teachers at CP worked with her strengths and understood her weaknesses to help her graduate high school with honors. Their commitment to her success can't be underestimated because if you have a child who doesn't like school and has a mood disorder you know how difficult it can be to get them to school on a daily basis. They were able to tailor a program that worked with our needs and her capabilities and I will be forever grateful for what they have done for her. We tried a variety of schools for challenged students and in the end this was the best fit we could have asked for. Definitely worth a look if your student is struggling.
