I want to put zero stars. Gas was $8.50. Bottle of electrolyte drink was $10. Toilets were gross. I hope you never have to stop here.

If I could give a negative star to rate this place I would. They are pirates praying on travelers. They charge $8.00 plus for unleaded gas and a dollar to use one two port-a-potties outside, unless you have a receipt to prove you're a customer. All of the rest areas in the vicinity are closed for construction. If you can make it to Needles or Ludlow, get gas and use the restroom there. Avoid this place like the plague unless it's a dire emergency. read more

I prefer to give zero stars for this gas station. Rudest unprofessional staff I've ever come across not only to myself but to a mother with her young baby. The young mom wanted to change her baby on a changing table and they would not allow her in the indoor restroom to do so. They put their own signs stating the restroom was available for the disabled only and told her that her only choice was to use the portable outhouse. When the mother and baby walked out the male cashier said "Well I guess she'll never ask to change her baby here again". The older lady staff worker said "Good better for us" and they both laughed. This is disgusting behavior. To top that off, they have 2 woman sitting next to the portable outhouse asking for receipt of purchase before you can use their toilet or pay one dollar. I'm surprised they didn't charge for toilet paper. Chevron is definitely not being represented well at all at this location. read more

We desperately needed to stop and take a break. This desert heat is no joke. This Chevron was the first fuel station we saw after a few miles into California. The miles long uphill climb was causing the pickup truck to overheat although it never hit the red. Whew! This gas station is the only one for several miles in both directions, so we made the stop (one exit before the rest area that we had already planned to make our stop). Just to be on the safe side, we decided to fuel up and let the truck cool off a bit. It's been doing great on the trip so far. We are almost where we need to be, but maybe we should have taken the detour to see the Grand Canyon. It's only about an hour to the South entrance from here, I think. If you stop here, just know that you will pay a lot more for gas. Like the first reviewer said, it's almost double what we paid before leaving AZ. However, as I mentioned, it is the ONLY gas station for miles!! The next gas station that I saw where we filled up was $3/gal (vs. $5/gal at this one)! Why only 3 stars when the bathrooms were very clean since the employees apparently had just cleaned them?! The post on the door upon entering had a handwritten sign "Wearing Masks are Mandatory"... buuuuuut, none of the employees were wearing masks! So, does that mean only customers are required to be wearing masks in order to enter the convenience store or use their facilities?! Hmmm. There were several tables with bench seats available to relax in the shade by the store and by the trees where you can let your pets walk around ... on a leash, of course. The water feature was not functioning or still under construction. The trees provided ample shade for several cars. Inside the shop, they had a selection of souvenirs, snack foodstuff, and cold drinks available. We just bought some coolant, water, and ice cream bars - ya know, just the necessities! read more

If you are on E and need to fill up, I suggest getting enough just to make it to another gas station and save $3 per gallon. Horrible horrible customer service and this people take advantage of people who. Are in need of gas or anything g else for that matter. Hell they even charge 2.50 just for air. I broke down in the desert and was towed to the station. My tire was fixed temporary by the tow truck to get me to the station when I. Got there my card was frozen due to being out of state and I sat there for 4 plus hours waiting on Onstar to get me help. These people yelled at me and threatened to tow my car .
