There's never been a long wait when I've come, except for today, there's a line wrapped around the gas station! I guess the secrets out about this place. I always get the $15 wash. You can save $5 and vacuum your car yourself at the self service vacuums on the side of the station for $1. But these guys spend longer vacuuming than I would and probably do a better job, they also add tire dressing and spray the interior to make it smell good w the $15 wash, so for me it's worth it. read more

The gas here is cheap, but I mostly come for the car wash. The express wash is only $5, and includes a quick hand wash before the automatic wash. Getting a carwash is a dull affair, but this place is relatively quick and painless. Also, Topper's Frozen Yogurt is right across the street, so I can get fat in my car while waiting for the wash to finish. read more

Worse $25 car cleaning ever. We brought our car for interior cleaning prior to returning our lease. Live close so left car there for them and returned to pick up. It was dark so we didn't pay attention to detail. This morning see the car in horrible shape. There were still chips on the carpet and the car was dirty. Went back in AM and spoke to manager. Very thorough, friendly staff at the car wash. They basically clean the outside of the car before you go through the automated part so the hands free machine is just a bonus. It's also one of the few car washes around here that doesn't require you to get out of your car & sit in their germophobic nightmare of a "cafe" while you wait. I finally got my car washed! Although the location is tricky, they have the car wash lanes clearly marked for waiting. Be prepared to wait - there will be a line. There is a gentleman who manually scrubs your car before entering the car wash. I felt bad because I didn't have any cash to tip the guy who was working very hard, so make sure you have a couple of bucks on you. I was satisfied with the quality of the wash. Nice quick car wash. I payed $10 plus a couple bucks tip. I'm convinced that all the choices of washes are the same... The guy scrubs down the car then you enter the machine for a few minutes and you drive away. My car was super dirty so I left with it cleaner but it wasn't fully clean and had lots of water spots. There was no interior cleaning option when I was there, which was confusing because I think it was offered on some of the signs. There were 3 cars waiting ahead of me and it took a good 20 minutes of waiting before my turn. The man working the car wash was very nice. This is only a place I'd go to if I needed a cheap easy wash that just cleans the surface of my car. read more

I love this carwash and great gas, its only $7-$11 for carwash and the attendant sprays your car and scrubs your tires before the drive thru wash, also they will vacuum your car and clean the inside for you if you ask. They are really nice. After having a couple of really bad experiences at the Mikeys car wash on Lacienega this is a wonderful find in Hollywood area and I only have to drive a couple miles out of the way to get there. Based on the other reviews I thought this car wash would be a pain because they have someone hand washing your car (and I didn't have any cash on me for tips, which is why I opted to come here to begin with) but the man working there was really nice and said it was totally fine, that the $6 comes with a hand wash. I used to come to this car wash often. Prices were and still are pretty good, but it takes extra long these days to get through since they updated their system. Worse then that, the older guy that pre-washes decided that he wasn't going to help me to put the money in the machine, even though he helped the person before and after me. He actually stood back and kept waving me on, even though he could see that I was having some trouble getting the money into the machine. Don't know if it was because I wasn't driving a jaguar like the car in front of me, or because I had a couple of dents or maybe it was the color of my skin. In any case, I'm turned off. I love this place! So convenient, close to my work. I purchase gas here sometimes (used to get gas here a lot, but when the pumps weren't working for awhile, I started purchasing gas at a spot closer to my apt.), but use the car wash regularly. Can't beat $5-$10 for an easy, quick car wash! The pre-wash is great! If there are any drops or residue afterward (city made them cut down on water usage, so sometimes everything does not get rinsed completely off like it used to), you can pull your car around and they will wipe it down for you. Everyone who works there has been nothing but awesome to me. They put air in my tires, stock my coconut water for me, always greet me with a smile. I really feel taken care of when I am there as well as my vehicle. Good customer service goes a long way and that's why I continue to patronize them. :) read more

We've been coming here for years to get our cars washed, even before the renovation. Today we got ultimate wash. At the end of the job, there were still tons of spots all over The vehicle and did a horrible job of vacuuming the inside. There was still dirt on the carpet that they rushed over and missed. We asked if they could please fix the spots and they refused. We asked to speak to a manager and they said there was no manager. We ended up having to wash off the spots ourselves. To make matters worse as were about to leave the employee with the mustache spit his drink on our bumper. Okay we get it. Our money isn't good enough for you. I just received a wash there and the Denali I was getting washed had a large scratch on the drivers side, It's about 3/4 inch thick and 12". I believe the high powered machine may have taken the clear coat off. The mark wasn't there this morning and was immediately noticed when I returned back to work. read more

AWFUL car wash. I just went here last night, and my car is covered with streaks from soapy water not being rinsed off properly or dried. I literally have to go get another car wash now just to fix the damage from this one. Sure, it's nice that they scrub down your car before you even go into the automated machine, but I feel like that time and effort would be much better spent having a guy dry off your car after completing the wash (and then, you could tip them if you appreciated the service). Cheap car washes! Just what I need. Sometimes I just need a quick easy down so this is my go to place. I will only go if the line isn't too long. Only one person working most of the time. They hose your car down first and then you drive into the machine. The wash begins. About 5 minutes and then you're out. Once the door opens you can go. read more

This car wash is dreadful. $8 and you get nothing. Our windshield was still dirty after the alleged wash. We wiped it with a finger, and the dirt came right off. Yet their alleged car wash did nothing. We tried to get a refund, and the employees refused. "You should have known it wouldn't wash the car," they said. AHA-- that's right. Went there today to get gas and a car wash. I paid for the gas and car wash at the pump. When I was ready to have the car wash I found out the car wash was not working. I went into the office for a refund which I was refused. They said there are no refunds on the car wash. I don't understand how they can charge you for a cash wash when the system is not working. It took several months to get any results from an accident that happened on their premise and I'm still waiting to get it resolved. I am specifically focusing on the car wash in this review. The new care wash at the La Brea Chevron is part human and part machine wash. They have a much more expensive option for detailing (around $100) as well. The posted pricing is reasonable (in the $10+ range) but as the first half of the wash is actually done by a service attendant, you need to remember to bring tip money and add that into the total cost of your budgeted wash. The attendants do the first pre-wash and soap up. Then you drive forward for the machine to finish and hard scrub the car. The car wash let's you out into a typically potholed and frequently tent inhabited back alley so be ready to off-road and s-swerve to get back to a main road - clean rims already taking a hit! I like that we now have a gas station car wash in this area of Hollywood, but the process for this one is slower than most and the line-up along the sidewalk next to the pumps plus the exit to the rough paved back alley make this as much a hassle as it is a necessity in our tree-pollen laden, dusty area of the city. read more
