A few days ago I left a review describing how my windshield was cracked during a wash at this location. The manager, Liz Garcia, promptly responded with a comment, asking if she could speak with me to resolve the issue. I emailed the address she provided, but never received a response. I then went in person to the car wash to try to speak with her, but she was not there. I spoke with an employee named Oscar, who told me that those responses are automatically sent by customer care, and that there was actually no intention from Ms. Garcia to speak with me or help resolve the issue. So, in addition to having my windshield damaged and the claim denied, there is also a pattern of "public-facing" responses meant to look helpful online, without any real follow-up or willingness to take responsibility. Oscar also confirmed that speaking with the manager would not make a difference, as claims are handled centrally anyway. The incident happened about a month ago, and in the meantime I have had to pay around $1,000 out of pocket to repair my vehicle. Very disappointing experience overall. read more

You wait for vacuums and the woman there had the audacity to tell me the car behind me was before me after the gentlemen told me I was next and she said something to the effect of " not my problem when they get angry" . I like that they have cheap express car washes here, but it was super packed and they didn't dry my car all the way.

I paid for the entire year in advance so despite my previous review, I still find myself coming here. The car comes out of the car wash soaking wet. The big drying wheel that is meant to dry your car is ALWAYS broken. If you want to wait for a space to dry your car yourself, be prepared to wait 15 minutes, as there are always 5 cars ahead of you waiting to use one of the 7 spaces that are always being used by uber suv drivers cleaning their vehicles for another day of work. BEWARE! CHOOSE ANOTHER CARWASH! We've used this place for a long time. We have a rack on the car, I ask for the wet brush to come down every time and it works well - all good. Two weeks ago the dry brush came down (which it has before so I wasn't worried) and RIPPED the bolted rack off of our car. It even bent our roof. It was insane. Two employees immediately told me the carwash would pay for it. One of them said the dry brush had been damaged and had been ripping off windshield wipers. He said they told the higher ups but nothing had been done. They didn't fix the damaged equipment and now it ripped off a roof rack. A third employee, who was the one at the beginning of the tunnel, ran up and put his finger in my face saying "this is your problem, you told me to do this!" over and over, when I hadn't accused him of anything. I wasn't even angry. I figured mistakes happen we'll get it figured out and then he came out of nowhere super hot. It was...weird. Fast forward to this week and corporate has sent me an email saying it was not their fault as I asked for the wet brush to come down (when the dry brush is the issue). In their email they mentioned ripping off our windshield wiper when in it was our roof rack. Two of their own employees immediately said it was company's fault and that they had been informed there was a problem and did nothing about it. It's a convenient location without competitors so people will still go there but I wouldn't. They clearly are not committed to safety or they would be on top of equipment maintenance. read more

BEWARE! I was sold a $9.99 unlimited deal for 30 days and have been charged $41.99 THREE times without having signed up for a subscription. They don't even have a $41.99 option on their "menu". When I call, I'm told it has to go to management. When they get back to me, I'm told management says there's nothing that can be done. I've resulted in disputing with my credit card company, but they sided with car wash saying that I never canceled my subscription. Why would I cancel a subscription I never purchased? I had a very disappointing and frustrating experience at this car wash. Their machinery damaged my windshield during the wash, leaving a large crack immediately after I exited. I reported the issue right away--within minutes--and I also have video footage taken right before entering the wash that clearly shows my windshield was completely intact. Now it's cracked almost in half. Despite this clear evidence, they are refusing to take responsibility. It's unacceptable for a business to cause damage with their equipment and then deny accountability when proof is provided. Customers trust these businesses to safely clean their cars, not to leave with expensive repairs. If you care about your car, do not take it here. This is the second time my car has been scratched at this exact Luv Car Wash location. On June 23, 2025, I brought in my black Mercedes E350 and left with visible swirls and scratches all over the driver's side roof area . I immediately filed a claim with the company and included before/after photos showing the damage. Instead of accepting responsibility, they denied the claim, saying my car was "over 5 years old" and therefore not eligible. That's a complete cop out. Vehicle age has nothing to do with poor maintenance of your equipment or visible damage caused during your service. No offer to inspect the vehicle, no serious follow up,just a templated denial. The scratches are consistent with worn out brushes or improper wash materials. And since this happened twice, it shows they're not maintaining their equipment properly and they're definitely not standing behind their work. Avoid this place at all costs if you value your car's paint or expect a business to take accountability. read more

I tried to return the other day and lo and behold. I was stuck in the line for about 30 minutes before I had to reverse all the way out. I don't know what happened here but because of the way it's run or the employees that are there. It is the worst car wash in all of Los Angeles. I repeat the absolute worst car wash in Los Angeles. I have two videos on my iPhone that'll show you just how long that you wait in that line and some of the time it just never goes anywhere and there's no one there to check you in. It's like somebody just decides not to work that day and leaves six cars in a line waiting to get their car washed. Please do not let anyone you care about or any of your family go here. Ever. Extremely small location! Workers don't offer you air fresheners when you enter, you have to ask for them. Worker also rudely let me know that I needed to wait in line to vacuum after there was an empty spot, ain't nobody got time for that! Suds were also left on my back window after exiting, I had to drive to a nearby street and dry off parked along the curb. Way to treat a paying monthly member, I will NEVER return to this location, and I recommend NO ONE patronize this LUV spot! Feels more like HATE! Other LUV locations are much better run. read more

Terrible customer service ...I would not recommend this place. The staff were incredibly unfriendly and unprofessional, creating an uncomfortable and even hostile atmosphere. It felt like they didn't want to be there, let alone help customers. These are local customers supporting your business ...we deserve better. I've been using this place for almost a year and it was fine, never cleaned my car perfectly and the machine left very small markings on my husband and my cars. My husband canceled because of this a while ago, but I liked the convenience and if the lines were too long I would just go back another time since it was on my way home. But recently I dealt with an incredibly rude employee that was accusatory and offensive when I wanted to just make a suggestion. no one needs that drama at a car wash, I'd rather pay the same and get a full service car wash once a month for the same price as my membership and actually have a car that looks good and is taken care of. read more

I won't be coming back. The line for this car wash was relatively short, and it's a very simple brush wash, so I assumed it would be quick. I specifically came here because my car needed attention, and I paid again for the most expensive wash package at $29. Unfortunately, the line was backed up out of the facility, down the street, and onto Sunset. I could not find an attendant anywhere for assistance. Even worse, after finally getting through the wash, my car was still filthy. When I returned and asked for a rewash, I was told they could not do it. It reminds me of the statement your manager made to me upon realizing I was unhappy with her blanket denial of a free car wash. Not only did she state Luv Car wash never gives credits or refunds, unless you pay a monthly membership, but somehow I owed her gratitude for taking the time out of her day to tell me so! Unless your company stands behind your service by giving credits when your machine malfunctions your expressions of regret or attempts to apologize are truly hollow. Still no response from LUV or their so-called manager, who seems content to copy and paste the same tired excuses whenever someone reports car damage from their wash. Their replies bounce between empty apologies, hollow promises to "improve," and outright denial--claiming vehicles were already damaged before entering their facility or that they bear no responsibility whatsoever. I did cancel the membership last year & found out they still collect monthly fee through ACH for last seven months, so I drop by the Balboa location where the cancelation submit wit employ who helped me out for complaint this issue. But they said it can be solve through on line only, so I did keep trying to log in with my cell number , but no responde of 6 dizit code ... I might have to claim against my debit card & sue them for refund. read more

I've been a member at this car wash for the past two months with no issues--until now. On April 12, 2025, I went through the wash at the Sunset Hollywood location, and my windshield wipers were damaged during the Dry and Shine part at the end of the tunnel. I heard a loud crack, and my wipers got stuck and stopped working entirely. I reported it immediately and filled out an incident report with an employee named Javier Lopez. Both he and the manager on duty admitted that the wash I received wasn't even supposed to be part of my membership. Apparently, there was a glitch saying my payment hadn't gone through (even though I showed proof that it had), and Javier manually let me in using a card--accidentally giving me a wash tier I don't normally receive. Because of that, my car went through a feature (the Dry and Shine cloth) it was never meant to, which directly caused the damage. This was the first time I've ever had that section applied to my truck, and it immediately caused an issue. I'm following up now because I truly believe they are responsible for the damage and should cover the cost of repairs. Still waiting to hear back. Be careful--especially if your membership tier doesn't include certain features. Mistakes like this shouldn't happen, and customers shouldn't be left dealing with the consequences. read more

Extremely disappointed with my experience at LUV Car Wash on Sunset Blvd. On May 17th, the automatic wash damaged my car -- the roller struck my vehicle due to a traffic jam at the exit, leaving visible scratches and breaking my rear windshield wiper. The employee at the entrance didn't follow basic safety protocol (taping down the wiper), and there was zero staff at the exit to manage the chaos. I reported the incident immediately and filed a damage claim on site. Since then, I've followed up multiple times by email and phone, even leaving a voicemail -- no response whatsoever. I had to replace the wiper myself and paid for installation, all out of pocket. I also paid for a car wash that left my car worse than it arrived. The total lack of accountability or communication is unacceptable. I do not recommend this company -- not just because of the damage, but because they clearly do not value their customers once they've taken your money. read more

My cars paint was not perfect, but my car was very scratched after going through this machine. My car had a layer of dust and they do not hose your car down and use minimal water. I feel like my cars paint was noticeable scraped and still dirty after the car wash. read more

I'm about to go through the step by step process of going through the LUV car wash... 1. Waiting 15 minutes in line and while waiting employees come up to asking you about a membership, which you do not want. 2. Actually going through the wash and realizing that at the end, the thing that dries your car does not work and the tires shine also does not work. 3. Going out to vacuum your car, but realizing that each spot is taken up my big black SUVs that I've been there for over 15 minutes each. 4. When you actually find a spot, you're gonna see that all the supposed clean towels are wet. 5. Finding scratches, spots, marks and even possibly it cracked the windshield on your car!! 6. You informing an employee about what happened to your car then she points out a sign saying that they are not responsible for any damages. (Doesn't make any sense) then she gives you a form to sign and fill out what damage happened 7. Receiving an email a week later saying that that they are not responsible for any damages and your car was like that before you even went in. (Which makes no sense) Conclusion: after coming to love car wash multiple times I will say that this place is not worth it at all the only reason why I chose this place was because this was the closest car wash to my house and it was clean as an "express wash" read more

Avoid this place at all costs, this establishment is nothing but a SCAM. After reading through other reviews I see I'm not alone. I have been a member here for a while however I had to update my card information through the app. After paying for my updated membership I went to wash and was denied service. This was after providing two forms of proof of my active membership and the bank transaction. I don't understand how they are allowed to getaway with denying and not honoring their service to a paying customer with proof of purchase. I tried to talking to the manager named Matt however his sour attitude and poor customer service skills absolutely repulsed me as a long time monthly paying customer. He said to come back 48-72 hours because of their "system" and there is nothing he can do about it. Like what kind of answer is that? Professional managers are supposed to deescalate and resolve issues. I then asked for a refund since they would not let me utilize their car wash that I paid for.
