This place is a great place to stop and grab snacks or a drink at the bar. Always respectful of me…read moreand my company. To say it's not safe for any POC is nonsense as I have always enjoyed stopping in here. I will continue to stop in and support.

This business deserves NO stars. Driving down HWY 20,…read moretraveling back from Eugene, new route for us and not knowing there was not many places to stop for Gas. We were advised by a little cafe in Juntura that there was no gas around except Brian's Service Station which was 33 miles to get to. We had 36 miles to go in gas ... Perfect we thought. We rush to get there and arrived just barely after close. Completely out of gas we see a TV on and knowing the owner lives on site. The station has option for pay outside but no way to actually pay for gas. Out on a HWY where there are no gas stations why would you lock your gas and not allow people to stop for gas. This concept does not make any sense to me. We notice the TV on and can see that someone is there. In desperate mode we took the chance to knock knowing this is an inconvenience but no other option and hoping since it was barely after close, still awake and under the circumstance he would understand. Knock on convince store door a few times and nothing. His front door is around corner. Knock on his front door and all of a sudden you see the TV and lights go out. Why not answer the door. Obviously someone is in trouble, but no this guy cares so little about anyone but himself that he hides in his house and totally ignores someone that is broke down and only needs to get gas and be on there way. Someone willing to pay double or even triple to just get enough gas to get to next place that was open. He sees us with flashers on, flashlight in hand, waving down drivers driving by to try and help. 2 cars so nicely pulled over and 1 lived in Vale. Both cars were shocked that Brian's Service Station cared so little about people and don't provide gas out there after hours where he could make extra money. Thank you to the kind souls who care in Vale Oregon or Brian's Service Station would have seen us upon his weakening sleeping next to gas pumps. If he was so worried about someone knocking on his door then he should have called Sheriff then we would have had help because even Sheriff's care and help those in need. I recommend you boycott this place of business and not give your hard earned dollars to a business man that is not willing to help those in need. Also I feel Oregon really needs to look at their laws and have all gas stations provide after hour service for Gas. It's BS that Oregon requires to have your gas pumped for you or you don't get gas. Get real. We are not so lazy that we can't pump our own gas!!! Really Oregon put in after hour self service and don't leave people stranded!

Simple. Convenient. Local…read more I was spending a few days in town locally. I had the opportunity to stop in a couple times. This market is the main cafe, convenience store and gas station in a small rural town with a population of just over 150 residents. Service was friendly and prompt. Coffee was hot. I stopped in one morning to have breakfast. I ordered their Denver Omelet which is a three egg omelet filled with diced tomatoes, green peppers, onion and chunks of ham for $11.70. I added cheese for an additional 60 cents. It comes with hash browns and your choice of toast. Quite a hearty breakfast and very reasonably priced! I enjoyed the omelet so much that I went back the next day and ordered the same thing. There were 4 or 5 different folks working in the cafe / store when I was there. They seemed to share different roles from waiting, cashier, pumping gas and minding the store. The store itself carries a variety of essentials, frozen meats & seafoods, beverages and snack items, typical for many other convenience stores. Should I visit the area again in the future, I would definitely stop in for breakfast.

We were there recently and stayed next door at the Riverbend Motel. The cafe is part of the market…read moreand as another person noted there is generally one person (The owner) doing everything. She does take a couple days off so there are others that work as well when it is busy, and when she can find the help. The food is good and she gladly made me a custom sandwich one morning. I know she is interested in retiring so that could happen and they could close. I will post pictures of inside and outside soon.

FYI: This is going to be a long review / shout out to a specific employee Nicholas. I can't say…read morethank you enough to this guy. Here's some background on my story at Jackson's in Baker City, OR. I was driving cross country from Washington state to Georgia in my brand new Tesla. This was day one of a very longgg trip! Not only did my windshield crack but it started snowing non stop and I was defeated! So I stoped across the street from Jackson's that night to sleep at a supercharger. That morning I went ahead and let both my dogs go to the bathroom on a nice walk and saw that Jackson's had a car wash (oh did I mention I'm driving cross country with two large dogs and a cat!) I decided it was probably a good idea to wash all the snow salt and dirt off my car so I rearrange the car, get all the animals settled and off I go to the car wash. Little did I know, I left my iPad on THE ROOF of my car :-/ IDIOT!! (You were thinking it) I didn't even realize.. I went through the car wash like "oh look at my shiny new Tesla looking so pretty"... yeah.. that lasted for about two hours when I stopped at another supercharger and realized MY IPAD IS MISSING! I knew right away what had happened.. embarrassingly I call Jackson's.. Nick answers the phone and honestly I didn't even know what to say to him other than "this is going to sound dumb.. but I went through the car wash" and before I could finish he said "it's not stupid, your iPad?" Long story short, Nick was AMAZING! He took time and money out of his own pocket to send me back my iPad. Like who does that?!? He dealt with many phone calls from me and he even called me one night letting me know he had sent it out. If this isn't amazing customer service I'm not sure what is. Nick if you ever read this, thank you thank you thank you. This means so much to me and my husband. He just recently deployed and I use the iPad to FaceTime with him.
