We used to always fill up our propane tanks at this station after returning from camping trips, but no longer... We've had bad experiences the last two times we've attempted to fill our tanks there. The first time: After going inside to request someone to come out and fill our two BBQ tanks, the woman said someone would be right out. We waited nearly 15 minutes and no one ever came out, so we left. The second time: I went inside and asked for someone to come out and fill our tanks. The woman said the person who fills the tanks was busy and to come back later. Seriously? If you advertise propane being available between 10:00 and 6:00, then you should make sure you have enough staff on hand to make that a reality. After saying we don't have time to come back, the woman suggested going to Doug's Propane which is just a bit further east...BEST DECISION EVER!!! After going to Doug's we will never go back to the Mt View Chevron. Two stars for the recommendation. read more

I like to review gas stations. So what! My only ROTD was on a crappy review of a Shell station in SD, BUT, BUT it was a very USEFUL review. I'm always on the hunt for cheap gas (gasoline). It has to be a Mobile, Texaco, Shell or Chevron. I don't care if people think gas is gas. I only know my truck runs better on this. $3.07 unleaded?! You bet your ass I filled up on Supreme. Sixty extra pumps or so to fill it up to the rim, baby. If you're on the way to Stevens for some snowboarding wait 'till you get to Sultan. This Chevron is at the first and only light in Sultan. The second Chevron is like 15 cents more. read more

I was a first-time user of this service station. They don't have the paper towels for cleaning your windshield in the normal location. They have them mounted in a dispenser on a pole, like in a bathroom. When I told the woman working there, apparently the owner, that I needed a paper towel, she told me about the dispensers in a pissed off manner. I said fine and got the towel. When I tried to use the restroom, she said I couldn't, because I acted like "I owned the place". I told her I had the right to use the restroom and went and used it. When I walked out, she ended up calling me a MF. This woman has some mental problems that needs fixing. read more

dear chevron, when your roadside sign says "laundry-showers-rv dump-propane" and a local loyal customer comes in to do laundry, and your cashier confirms it's okay to do laundry so you send your disabled spouse home to rest while you do laundry...you should probably let them do laundry. you probably shouldn't say truckers only and then threaten to have said customer arrested for loitering while their disabled spouse returns from gold bar to pick them up. you probably shouldn't stand there and bad mouth them to other customers while they wait for the ride to return and pick them up. you probably shouldn't have your manager set the phone down on the counter while on the phone with a very angry disabled customer so that other customers can hear. you probably shouldn't tell your local customer you don't care about bait and switch or threatening them. you probably should treat your local customers better. here is a business tip: don't treat your local bread and butter like garbage. here is another: this will not go away, but saying "i'm sorry and let me fix that sign outside" could have prevented all of this. finally, with the sheer amount of camping traffic you shot yourself in the foot denying the public access. i hope your lesson isn't too expensive. p.s. yelp is forever. signed, fed up in gold bar read more

They have pretty much what every gas station has. The parking lot seems clean and the inside is fairy clean and organized. My only knock on them is the same for several gas stations. They not only charge extra for credit but debit too when needing gas. read more

Stopped for gas this past winter. Huge patch of ice by the gas pumps. Yep, I fell down hard! Lucky only bad knee bruises but asked the owner to call me. Of course no response, thanks for the apology, it's all I wanted. I did take pictures of the area and asked the staff to put down ice melt. Later visit showed they did something there. Now I see they offer laundry and showers but only to certain customers? Really? Many locals have wells gone dry and could use this local service but they turn their backs on us? Recommend driving another mile or so went, two great Chevron stations with great staff &I same prices! read more
