THE WORST haircut EVER!!! Can I give a negative star rating? I know my hair. I know what it needs and doesn't need. I think I'm pretty clear on conveying that to a hairdresser - at least my old hairdresser never had an issue. I've been trying to find a hair dresser closer to home. I saw the good reviews for this place on Yelp and the pictures and website looked like they paid attention to detail. I made an appointment for a cut and color with one of the stylists. My appointment was with Joselle. As I showed her pictures of the type of cut I wanted and said "A-line Bob", she barely looked at my pictures. When discussing what I wanted for color, I said I DEFINITELY DID NOT want chunky white highlights, but rather very subtle (and natural) caramel highlights, in my light brown hair. I even told her that my hair lightens REALLY fast. She did my roots, washed and dried my hair, because she didn't want to risk doing a two step process. I thought "THAT is a great idea. Get to know my hair." From what I could tell, everything was going OK. After the cut, she blow dried my hair and never used a straightening iron - which left me a frizzy mess. Did she think that looked good!? I was getting a REALLY bad feeling as I looked in the mirror and saw what she left me with. On top of the worst haircut and style, I got HORRIBLE chunky white highlights, like RACING STRIPES, on the side of my head! It was BAD! Also, as she was blow drying my hair, she kept looking out the window to see if her friend had arrived yet to go to dinner. I was the last appointment of the day, but I still should have been a priority. Some positives - my root touch-up was OK and the last handful of highlights, that didn't have time to get bright white, were nice. And the last positive - she drove me back to my old hairdresser to fix my hair. It's now worth it to me to drive 2.5 HOURS to get to her because I never want to experience this again. The website says she specializes in men's cuts. She should stick with that and not let the Salon owner schedule women's haircuts! If you still go, try another stylist. read more

I have gone to this salon numerous times. Every single time my hair was NOT what I asked for. The stylist clearly has little experience in customer service and little time on heads. The cuts were never done well. The color was not ever what I asked for. I would be there for hours. The stylist needs some confidence and practice before working with actual people. Also, the products were never available. Extremely disappointing and dissatisfied. I gave the stylist numerous opportunities to improve and each and every time is was a terrible experience. Under new management!! I have gone to this salon on and off for a few years now. For anyone who wrote old reviews, it is now under new management! I have enjoyed Sara and her salon services she offers. The cuts and color are good (she cuts well to curly hair too!). They moved to Mill street and Sara purchased the salon from the previous owner. The atmosphere is fun and inviting, the employees are kind, and I have enjoyed the services I have received (cut and full color by Sara, nails/pedi services). It's a small salon, so you must work with them if you want more than one person getting mani/pedi etc. there are 3 women total, 2 pedi chairs etc. but it is well worth it. UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!! Sara work wonders on hair. She did a AMAZING job on my cut and color as well as my daughter color highlights who is 12 years old. She kept her highlights natural but with a bit of spunk to be cool. Definitely check the salon out very calm setting. You won't be disappointed. I had a horrible experience at this salon as my boyfriend mentioned in previous comment but now I am appalled at Marlins response! But not surprised. Everything he said was a lie to cover themselves for their behavior and shoddy work. Everything is time-stamped and emails to back up the truth. They even responded to the pics apologizing and saying they would definitely correct their mistake. They talk a good talk. Marlin, please provide proof that you threatened us with the police? That is the most absurd lie you could come up with?! That is insane! And we all know the owner doesn't have good rapport with the local police so he definitely wouldn't involve them. Public knowledge. We paid you in full. And more than we should have! Even tipped every time and shouldn't have. I'm not going to sit here and mudsling. That is your tactic. I'm here to tell the truth. Something you know so little about. People should leave a salon feeling good about themselves. Hair stylist should make clients feel happier when they leave. But you blatantly said you can't stand people and I laughed and said you probably shouldn't be doing hair. I know a lot of people say you all have dull personalities in there but that didn't stop me from coming. It was decorated nice so I thought maybe it would be a little classier. Far from it. Just look at the appearance of many individuals in the salon. Not professional at all. New employees leave quickly because you are all rude and think you are above everyone. Which is funny considering where your from. When clients leave the salon you badmouth them and tell new employees awful things. I know this because I heard it and talked with a woman who recently started work there. She left quickly. She was way too nice of a girl and too honest to work there. I have gone to many salons over the years as I moved to different places and have never had an experience like this. I always had good rapport with my stylist. If they did a bad haircut they FIXED it. Don't pretend to know what you are doing! You are in the wrong business! Your response on here tells just how much morals you have by the lies you told and lack of class. You will say and do anything to protect your job. We all know the truth. Videos and pics don't lie. Time-stamped! Emails too. If you continue to tell lies and insinuate we are some kind of thief and didn't pay you the rest of money then I will expose you fully and post the emails on here. I will not stand for a liar! You got belligerent when we asked why you didn't order the correct amount of hair in the first place. Then had to break it down for you in laymen's terms so you understood why we were upset after TWO months of "fixing" your problem! Incompetence! You swore at us then yelled at us to leave. I had to insist on a receipt or you wouldn't have given one! Glad I did or you would lie about that too!! I have never seen such unprofessional behavior! Learn to do GOOD hair and you won't have people causing "trouble" as you called it because we have to come back over and over to fix it!!! Get it right the first damn time! Stop being so lazy and so obsessed with money and learn to help others and treat others good! Take a class on ethics! Maybe then you will develop some kind of conscience and be able to tell the truth. I'm not suing so you can stop with the lies you have created in hopes you have a leg to stand on in court. This is my favorite hair salon in the area. I always get good haircuts and the best eyebrow waxes from Maura. I think she is truly the only one that gets eyebrows in this area! Also, I have thick hair and she knows how to work with it. Plus you can drink wine while you get your service. Best place in the area! read more

I visited Chez Le Duc with a six person bridal party. We made appointments for gel manicures. Although we had a great time drinking champagne and talking about the wedding, our manicures were horrible. Our manicurists had no idea what they were doing. Without even doing the normal manicure (clean, file and buff nails and cut cuticles), they painted our nails with regular polish and put them under the gellish top coat UV lights. The polish became all misshapen and bubbly and almost everyone's nails had to be redone. I can't believe they charged us $30 per "manicure." Everyone's nails and cuticles looked awful for the wedding. Although the staff is very kind, they have no idea how to do nails. DO NOT get your nails done here! read more

Too expensive. Owner caters to certain customers. I sat there while he offer another customer all kinds of drinks. Nothing was ever offered to me. Owner is also not well liked in this small town. He is not very nice. I still gave his employees two tries though. My wax job sucked. Which I didn't appreciate the girl who reeked of smoke in my face as she did it. My hair cut was ok. There's a great hair place down the road called classic cuts and more. They've been open longer. THEY CAN KEEP HELP AND THEY HAVE ALOT OF EXPERIENCE! This place never seems to keep help.
