Had a very nice meal on a recent trip to Paris. Small place near the Dupleix metro, maybe 10 tables, also do takeout. We were in the mood for pasta and this hit the spot.
I had a penne with Parma ham (in the form of long thin slices of prosciutto) and mushrooms in a Gorgonzola cream sauce. My lady had spaghetti bolognese, both were fresh and delicious. We started with a simple green salad with warm breaded goat cheese and a shrimp avocado cheese melt. Desserts were a couple scoops of good ice cream and a coffee ice cream with espresso beans and chocolate sauce with a cafe au let on the side.
On the down side I wasn't a fan of the house bread, kind of flavorless pita points, some was hard and some ok. My coffee ice cream dessert was in the menu as being rolled in crumbled macaroons but it didn't come that way. And the dessert menu looked straight out of Friendlys.
But the food was good, service was great with a happy waiter who immediately asked "French or Anglai?", offered a photo when he saw our camera, and brought two complimentary amaretto at the end of the meal.
They also have a large pizza menu, we saw a couple and they looked good! read more
