Excellent customer service and they really took care of both me and the party I was organizing for. As an Active Duty Marine stationed in California, fulfilling my responsibilities as the best man and organizing a Bachelor Party was quite the challenge from so far away. CBP will help you narrow down your options immediately and do all of the grunt work for you. After I filled out the initial form, I received a .pdf of about 15 bars to potentially have my party at. This file contained all pertinent party planning info such as types of wristband deals offered, minimum wristbands number, perks included, whether a contract is required, etc. I felt as though I had a new question for Jimmy every day and he was very easy to get in contact with. Jimmy at Chicago Bar Parties is a life-saver. I need to plan a very very last-minute birthday party that was conveniently located and flexible around the number of people in attendance. I didn't think I'd be able to pull anything together until I found the CBP site. Within 15 minutes of submitting the questionnaire, Jimmy sent me over a dozen recommendations. There were a lot of great venue options and each had multiple packages available. Jimmy picked his top three and I ended up going with one of his picks since it offered a great premium wristband deal that was super flexible on the number of people who ultimately showed up, and the venue was really conveniently located for all of my guests. I let Jimmy know my preference and he took care of every detail - even making sure I was allowed to bring a birthday cake to the venue. We ended up at DeClan's in Old Town. When I arrived, the manager was totally aware of all of our preferences and let us pick what section of the bar we wanted to claim. We had tons of room and a great DJ who asked us what our preferences were for the night. The bar tenders were very nice and attentive and everyone had an excellent time. I was really excited to use Chicago Bar Parties after browsing their site and reading a lot of the reviews that were posted on Yelp. I was planning a birthday party downtown, and could have used a lot of help with it, since I'm unfamiliar with the venues and whatnot. Too bad they COMPLETELY failed to deliver. I was really disappointed by the lack of service that was provided to me. I put in a request Friday, March 28th, and immediately received an email notifying me that they received my request and would be back to me within 48 hours. Promising right? Not the case. By Wednesday of the next week, I had still received nothing. Not an email, not a phone call, so I sent a follow up email asking if they needed additional information about my inquiry and asking if they made an progress and what the timeline of plans were like since I was a first time user. The weekend rolls around and still NOTHING. Desperate for help, Monday morning on the 7th of April I thought I would call the phone number listed. Not surprisingly, no one picked up and I left a voice mail. Still haven't heard from them, and have given up on this company. It seems like some people have had good experiences with this company, but unfortunately that was not my case. Whenever an important birthday rolls around, I like to throw a party. Having had a few successful house parties, I decided I wanted to move things to a bar location and include an optional bar package for my guests.
