THIS REVIEW IS OF THE QUALITY OF FOOD ALONE!!! I am actually from western NY, within 50 miles of where Buffalo Wings became famous and every western New Yorker knows a good chicken wing and I have only ever found one place in the UK with good enough wings for them to remind me if home... But now I've found another!!! I've been seeing this business prepare for opening over the last few wings and when I realised it was an American Wing Restaurant I was so excited as it's right on my way home! The chicken wings were the right size, had the right crisp and succulence and the buffalo bliss sauce was reminiscent of the Anchor Bar(birthplace of buffalo wings) itself. I was given 5 wings and wedges in what I believe will be one of the menu items. It didn't come with Bleu cheese as standard (which might have been for the pre-opening event..idk) , but I didn't ask for it so I will make sure to do so next time. It did come with coleslaw, though...which I didn't really see the point of, lol! Oh yeah hey have burgers and per menu items, I'll unlikely be trying these soon as wings are now so close to home. Anyway, the opening is on the 5th of November and there is 20% off so I will most certainly be there to get some good wings again.., eventually when they are fully trained, I will update this on service too!

I wish i'd tried out this restaurant sooner as i'm often in Hemel town centre around lunchtimes when i'm peckish i'll definately be heading back in the furture. The setting was nice, clean and comfortable, the staff were welcoming and friendly. Ultimately this place just serves chicken dishes, but they still offer a lot of variety. It's all about the spice here you can choose the level of spicyness your food has with four options of marinade/sauce, one of which is mild enough if you're not in to hot food. At the other end of the scale is REALLY hot. Despite the emphasis on the spices, the flavour of my food was not compromised. The soft drinks are refillable, which is always good and vital here as I had to knock back about 5 pepsi's to cope with the spicy food i'd ordered! It wasn't the cheapest meal I could settle for in Hemel town centre, but it's still great value.

Waited another 10 mins while they recooked it and yet again they got it wrong. It would be understandable once but not twice. The food was not worth the wait either! Do not eat here unless you can speak fluent Turkish and then maybe you might get a correct order. Unimpressed!

Sunday was the launch of XP at the Mockingbird Theatre. This is a geek themed event held once a night and is a bit of a mecca for all things board game, computer game, quiz and film orientated. Naturally we had to go. I am currently on a bootcamp scheme (see http://www.yelp.co.uk/biz/fit-body-bootcamp-birmingham for info), meaning I am on a strict diet of proteins, fats and No carbs. After consuming a smoothie for my breakfast and a salad for my lunch, I was starving hungry by 5pm. Everyone seemed to be either ordering pizza (a major no-no for me) or heading to Subway for their tea. I thought neither of these would be an option before a helpful person mentioned that Subway did salad bowls, problem solved... Or so I thought. Despite having all of the components of salad, Subway in Digbeth DON'T do salad bowls (and their staff are pretty unhelpful too). In a major grump, I left the store to see what else was on offer on the street. Right next door I came across Mother Clucker. Firstly, they scored a point for having a name that made me snigger, secondly... They couldn't have been more helpful if they tried. After a quick peruse of the menu I opted for lemon and herb chicken (which is served without skin). I asked if I could have some salad with this, after looking at me strangely for a minute - the guy said "Sure, we can do that. It'll be no extra charge". Winner. The chicken was cooked fresh for me as I waited and I requested some lettuce, onion and chillies (all I could have). I was even warned that the salad might be a bit rubbish as it's predominently meant for burgers, but I thought it was sweet that they warned me. My diet friendly feast was a budget busting £3.50. The guys that did end up going to Subway ended up pretty jealous of my dinner after all. This new kid on the block is sparkling clean, very friendly and super helpful. Will I be back? You can bet your bottom dollar I will.

The food is always hot and tasty and the salads nice and fresh. Highly recommended as a healthy take-away/delivery option to feed a family! We especially love their sweet potato chips, which I think are unique to their menu. I'm a huge fan of Nandos, but I think Gourmet Chicken in Maidenhead beats them :)

That was great because I was starving. There's a lot of seating inside, mostly upstairs. It seemed they were actively keeping the place very clean. A couple things that stood out to me... The folks bringing food to the tables weren't the friendliest. Not quite rude, but not quite friendly. The food itself was not quite the size we're used to here. I don't take anything away from them for that; it's just something to be aware of. SMS to be fair, I've had smaller portions here in the US (but almost never). Food was OK. Place was clean. People I dealt with couldn't much care if you were there or not. Smile once in a while

I would really recommend the chimmichurri wings, they are absolutely delicious. I eat here at least twice a month and will continue to come back. The ambiance is great and I love the decor of the restaurant.

The Gangnam wings had a really nice flavour however I found them a little sweet to have lots of them (you get 8 wings In a portion). For me, I could have had a little sourness in the sauce with the sweetness but they were still nice! The buffalo wings come with blue cheese on top but we had them without as we don't like blue cheese and they were great! Full of flavour and nice and spicy. The furious fries are cooked with buffalo sauce and come with feta and chilli. We had without the feta however we could have had them without the chillis as the fries themselves were really tasty! The restaurant was really accommodating despite our fussiness which is always good to see! The food was great and we need to go back to try the other wing flavours!
