We have been with Chico Christian for the past 6 years. Our second child is in her last year with Chico Christian and our first daughter graduated two years ago and still talks about how much she loved going there...she especially misses the teachers. Chico Christian excels on many levels, but one of the most important to us was their communication across the board. Every employee there is truly special and if we had a third child they would be attending Chico Christian as well. Thank you to all of their staff. We've been part of this daycare since my son was about 14 months old, and we can't say enough good things about the staff and teachers! As a first-time mom, I was nervous about leaving my baby in someone else's care, but they went above and beyond to ease my worries. Everyone here genuinely loves what they do -- they care for the kids as if they were their own, showing real warmth, attentiveness, and dedication to their safety. I can't say enough about how much we've enjoyed our experience at Chico Christian Preschool. The quality of the staff & teachers is second to none. Each person we've encountered meets us with kindness, respect and tender care which is a testament to their strong, committed and incredibly passionate leadership. Our son has grown and thrived in such a warm, safe and healthy environment. I love seeing what he brings home; From artwork, to the songs he sings, to what he learns throughout his day with a special shoutout to the enrichment opportunities including sign language, gardening, Spanish, and animal/pet care (to name a few). Aside from direct experiences, I appreciate the focus on ensuring the campus is a safe, well kept & cared for environment. In general the staff are always striving for greatness and it is evident in the everyday. Having a communication tool like the Brightwheel app has been a heaven-send and has further enhanced our overall experience by allowing for streamlined communication at all times. Nothing brightens my day like a random photo or video update of something fun & cute happening in class that day! I also appreciate the leadership's transparency in what they're working on, fundraising for, fee update information and feedback opportunities so they can actively and continuously work towards creating the best experience for the families they support. Chico Christian preschool has been such a blessing for our family! I truly could not imagine having sent our kids anywhere else. Our daughter started at 2 yrs old and continued through t-k. She just started kindergarten this year and was beyond prepared! Our son is 2 and has been there for 6months now. The teachers are incredible. They are patient, loving and accommodative to all children. They love the Lord and they put so much effort into ensuring they provide the best care for our kids. Also, I think the facilities are the cleanest I've seen for any of the daycares in the area, and I toured several. Could not be more pleased with our experience here! read more

Chico Christian has been an absolute blessing for us! All of the teachers care so deeply about the kids - it's so easy to see and so nice for a mama sending her "baby" to school for the day. She comes home with sign language skills, knowing science terms like what a microscope it, Spanish words, and lots of amazing art projects! I love this school - can't recommend it enough! read more

I took my son to Chico Christian as a first time mom when he was only 7 months old. He is now almost 2 years old and I can't say enough how wonderful they are! My son is not easy and has a few delays, but they have worked with us every step of the way. He even has therapies at the school and the therapists say "this is the best daycare in town, if I had young children I would take my child here." 5 stars for them for sure. read more

We absolutely love this preschool! The teachers are so warm, patient, and genuinely care about each child-you can tell they really love what they do. My kids are always excited to go in the morning and come home telling me about all the new things they've learned -- from science and art to kindness, teamwork and faith. My children have been enrolled in Chico Christian preschool for the past year and a half. We have loved every part of Chico Christians program. The staff is all so kind and attentive. They all greet my children by name and with a warm hello when we arrive. They are very helpful and caring when my children are having a hard day and when I pick them up they don't want to leave the school. They keep me in the loop during the day through their school app. I would recommend Chico Christian to anyone. read more

Our seventh grader has been at Chico Christian since age 3 (preschool) and is flourishing. Our fifth grader continues to grow and develop nicely as he is challenged to become more responsible. We also have a 4 year old at the preschool that will start in Kindergarten next year. We couldn't be any more pleased with the spiritual training, educational excellence and personal touch. This is the best school in Butte County! Great, loving, credentialed teachers. The principal is amazing. Teachers work with parents to create a structured, loving, Christ-centered environment for our children to learn in. I really feel they have assisted me in raising my child to be a quality human-being. They support parents in educating the whole child. Not just the academics. There is so much to growing up and every teacher there is dedicated to their students. I have never seen so much individualized attention and care. The teachers truly love our kids. My son has a learning challenge that affected his ability to read and they have worked with us to overcome that. They have a great after-school program that my son, who is 10, requests to go to on a regular basis. We don't need it, but will let him go here and there at his request. Class sizes are small, on purpose. We had 19 kids in our 3rd grade class last year. They have art as part of the curriculum. Music is in all grades. It is amazing what this school does on less than 1/2 of the budget of a public school. PE is part of their week as well. The cost of the school is definitely something that a family has to budget for. It is approximately $4K per year with some incidental costs. My husband and I feel it is worth every penny and gave up "extras" that we really didn't need. We forfeit out of town family vacations right now. The value that we get for sending our son here is worth it for us. He is excelling in this school and becoming a good steward in a wonderful environment. The other parents are great as well. We have developed friendships and our son has developed friendships that will last a lifetime. No child is left behind. All children are accepted and loved! Some families have parents/grandparents that will pitch in and help the parents out with the cost, which is really neat. So if you are thinking you can't afford something like this, re-think that. What are your priorities? What can you cut? Would your children benefit enough to do this? Since we started going to this school, preschool by the way, we have decided every year a resounding YES! If you can't do it financially yourselves, check with parents/grandparents. You might be surprised to find that they agree enough to help you with this. It's hard to raise kids and it is so nice to have some support from a school like this one and their amazing teachers! Good luck with your school search. read more
