This was my first baby and I was apprehensive about daycare; however, I went through a lot of nannies due to scheduling conflicts. When I went to Mersiha, you could tell she had a love for children and what she did for a living AND carried around a planner to set up dates far out in advance. I love how organized she is and how she interacts with kids. As a pediatric nurse with no family in the area, it was a God send to have Mersiha's family daycare around the corner. She was flexible with my crazy 12 hour shifts. She is very reliable and I have never had issues with having the coverage that I needed. Her prices are very reasonable for the area. Her attention to detail is amazing and she was even willing to support all of my first mom needs. We had an app and she would chart to appease my neurotic nursing nature. She helped me with getting Rhiley on a schedule and would alert me to any issues that were present with our little one. It's amazing how she keeps track of it all. I loved how much fun I could tell Rhiley had from spending a full day with Mersiha and the other kids. You could tell how much they both loved each other. And I loved how big of a smile Rhiley and Mersiha had when they would both see each in the morning or evening. My heart is broken that we are having to relocate but hopefully this is a see you later and not a goodbye. We miss her already and wish that we could take her with us! I highly recommend Mersiha's Family Daycare for any childcare needs that you have in the Bay Area. She is literally THE BEST!

We were nervous about sending our daughter to daycare at the age of 2 months, but after we met Mersiha, our fears went away. She is very experienced with infants and she proved to be a great communicator, giving us daily updates on what she ate, how she slept, etc. We've been going to Mersiha's daycare for two years now, and when my daughter gives Mersiha hugs each day, I am reminded how truly lucky we are to have Mersiha in our lives. She's such an important part of our family and we love her so much.

We can rely on them to care, teach and provide him many learning experiences so he can become an independent little boy, ready for kindergarten. They helped him learn to talk more with wonderful songs, colors and shapes in Acorns, drink out of an open top cup, potty training & clean up after himself (lunch and toys) in Sprouts, learn all his letters, numbers, writing, follow direction, independence and more in Discovery and Koala classes. Each classroom has an appropriate teacher-student ratio with colorful, private rooms each with their own personality. And during the pandemic, they have kept each child and staff member safe with their rules to protect and keep the mask mandate since the kids are too young to vaccinate. Mrs. Waters and his pre-K teachers have supported our son in most his special ed needs by allowing his private therapists to come to the school. He gets SLP & OT sessions in per week while aligning with his teachers to work with his therapists which help him transition from therapy back to gym or class time. This has been such a big help to know he is getting many of his needs met. Thank you Mrs. Waters, Lynn, Brittany and all his teachers for your help, support, learning and life skills for our son throughout these years!!!

As a longtime community member and parent at this daycare for over a decade, I want to share my…read morepersonal experience. When new ownership took over, the transition felt rushed and didn't seem to consider the children's emotional well-being or developmental needs. Communication with families was unclear and inconsistent, leaving many of us feeling misled. One early concern was the food provided. My child often came home hungry, with very small portions served--one lunch was just a few noodles along with other portions that are not adequate to make a lunch filling or nutritious. Other parents and staff shared similar concerns about inadequate and inconsistent meals. It was only after these issues became public that some improvements were made, which felt reactive rather than proactive. There has been significant staff turnover. A beloved teacher/director/and absolute heart and soul of the school, who served for decades was let go abruptly without explanation, and since then, several other teachers have resigned. These children were with her every day while parents worked. She provided stability, love, comfort, and an environment that helped them learn while making it fun. The current leadership rarely seems present in classrooms and doesn't appear connected with families. When concerns are raised, responses can feel dismissive or defensive. Tuition has increased, but some services have been cut back. Weekly field trips are less frequent, and the pre-K curriculum has shifted to being mostly play-based. This change feels like financial priorities are outweighing children's developmental needs. Another difficult situation was the sudden removal of another beloved teacher on a Monday during naptime! There were just weeks left before the end of school and she had been nurturing the children all year and preparing them for kindergarten. The new leadership did this with short notice, over the app, while many of us were at work, panicking. Many of these kids have also been with her since they were babies. This caused confusion and distress among the kids, many of whom struggled to understand why yet another trusted adult was gone without proper closure. I've consulted child psychology professionals, who emphasized that transitions like this must be handled with care and sensitivity. Sadly, that did not happen here. This is my personal account based on what I've witnessed and heard. I hope families feel empowered to ask questions and advocate for their children, who deserve a safe and nurturing environment that respects their emotional, physical, and developmental needs.

I had exported a list of infant daycare providers from the DCFS site and was working my way down the list. When I set up a tour with Adriana I immediately thought - this is it! She was so calm and caring and had many examples of children staying in her care for years and families staying with the center for new siblings. When I returned to work at 3 months Daycare Children's World became an extension of our family. My children took their first steps and said their first words there. Adriana has been in the childcare field for over 10 years and as a first time mom I trust her to help me make the best decisions for my family. I leaned on her for guidance on introducing solids, tips on tummy time, and to communicate back my children's interests and strengths while in her care. She and her center play a critical role in the development of my children. Full time childcare for infants options are limited, let alone two spots, and even when you find it many times it comes with long waitlists and unaffordable costs. Adriana worked with my family to ensure that the spots were available at the end of my maternity leave so that I did not need to take additional unpaid leave and also not lose out on career growth and opportunities. Adriana and her center are an integral part of my family and the wider Park Ridge community. I gladly recommend her to future families.

He's now in the preschool program for 3-4 year olds & he loves it. The teachers are very well-qualified and have the patience of saints. The daily reports are a great reference for me when I pick him up, so I can better understand how he spent his day and what lessons they covered from one day or week to the next.
