I reviewed our 4yr olds sensory issues with the director and teacher. Telling them how to handle…read moresensory overloads and asking that during one that they do not pick him up. They should lead him to the calming corner, give him his weighted blanket, and let him calm down before putting him in time out. But each time, they would pick him up and physically restrain him holding him like a baby in their arms. This put him into a fight or flight mode where he hit, bit, and kicked trying to escape. The director assured us that she knew how to handle kids with sensory issues, but did not even follow our recommendations or the recommendations of our son's therapist. One day I picked him up during one of the sensory melt downs because he bit her (again...fight or flight). She handed me his things and said nothing. We were notified within 20 minutes of leaving that they had removed our access to the building and expelled him. They expelled 2 other children with sensory issues 2 weeks prior for "bad behavior." If you have a non-neurotypical child, this is not the daycare for you.

Ms. Sabrina is so dedicated to not just the well being and safety of the children, but their education as well. she has hired the best teachers and the turn over rate seems significantly lower than it used to be. we feel so lucky to be part this school.

My four year old son started to this school in September of this past year. It was his first…read moreexpirence in a school setting and he was very excited. The school year started off just right he loved his teacher and even though he already knew his alphabet he was learning other things. My son did not have any problems in class until his teacher found a new job. His replacement teacher already worked in the school and was given the position. Almost instantly he was being given less than exemplary reports and coming home less and less excited about school. Three months before the end of the school year my son had a three day straight streak at school with comments from the teachers aid such as "perfect day" "good job today" "wonderful day today" the fourth school day I called to check on him. I already had a bad feeling about the treatment of my son so i thought why not call and check. His teacher came to the phone and said he had already had a rough morning and that one child had told her my son had ACCIDENTALLY hurt him. keep in mind not on purpose. No sooner had i hung up the phone when the director of the school called me, she told me my son was in her office and she was going to need me to come and get him. Why did she call me? Because my son had refused to cooperate with the teacher and let her punish him for telling her NO. Yes that's right that is why she called me. When I got to the school I was informed on what had happened that day and all the things I heard were typical 4year old behavior. Not good behavior but he wasn't acting outside norms. They told me I should ask my pediatrician about his particularly bad behavior and toward the end of the conversation she told me how defiant my son became when she informed him he would not be allowed to come back. She told my 4 YEAR OLD son that he was expelled without my being present. I didnt even know he was expelled until she handed me his shot record sheet and his other belongings. I also found out that I was being charged $150/month for my baby to sit in timeout every day. He only attended 2 days a week. There are some good teachers in this school but i am wholly disheartened and sick to know that my child was treated so unprofessionnaly. It is my personal opinion that unless your child is complacent/medicated and 100% submissive this school does not want to teach them. They do want your money. After all of this I will close by saying this seek out another school for your child. I will never reccomend this establishment to anyone. - One Seriously Angry Momma
