this was a place that I trusted with my children, and on 05/04/2023 I had picked my children up…read morefrom their school and my youngest was crying about a teacher getting on to her, and so I take them to daycare at Lil Kidz Dayschool, dropped them off, and of course my little one was still upset. So like any parent I called the principal and the teacher and we came to a positive resolution and we handled it. But while I was on the phone with the principal and the teacher, the guidance counselor comes to the phone and says ma'am does your kids go to daycare? I said yess is something wrong? She tells me that one of the employees there that I do not even know, called and demanded to know what happen with my child and what was going to be done about it, they asked her how does she know the child she's says I'm a friend of the child, then the teacher told her she can not give any information to her because she wasn't their parent, and that employee started fussing saying she was their care giver and she wants to know! mind you the teacher asked her my kids name and that employe at Lil Kidz told her she didn't know her last name, told the teacher her name is Jo and hung up on the teacher. so we are all in shock! i was furious!! I do not even know this employee, and that is a violation of the privacy act. so I try to get in touch with the owner, called her sent her messages and instead of her calling me first she calls the employee and the employee lies and says oh I was going too but I just put the phone in my back pocket so they must of heard me talking. so the owner tells another employee she has no real proof. mind you I sent messages to her that it says she read it and I listed the schools number the teachers names that witnessed it and said you can call the principal in the morning. so when I got to daycare I had not been contacted yet from the owner, so I see her there, I tell her what happened and she acted like she was just trying to smooth it over, I said oh no that's concrete proof and again I told her face to face the name and the teachers names and that I sent their phone number to her in a message. the owner of lil kidz daycare tells me that's she's not going to do any of that. and according to her policies and procedures what she did only warrants a suspension, she said she was suspending that employee for a week and that she had to take an online class then she can come back, I said i want her fired I do not want her to supervise my children, and the owner tells me well she will still be over them! when I tell you I was so shocked I couldn't believe that she would even allow that, and that employee hasn't been there that long, my children have went there for years! so I told her well if she comes back and will be over my kids then we will not be coming here any more, and she said that the woman will not be there for a week mind you, the next day I pulled up to get my daughters water bottle and that employee that she told me was suspended for a week was there! her car was right out front! so not only was I lied too, they basically did not care that their employee that I do not know called my kids school telling them she was their care giver and she demanded to know! that employee never called me to tell me her concerns of why my kid was upset she just took it into her own hands to call and claim she was their caregiver! I feel disrespected, I was certainly lied too, and humiliated! I will never send my children back there at all!! and that is because the owner allowed that employee to get by with violating the privacy act with my children!! and lied to me about suspending her!!

Overall: Great gym with some high quality cardio machines…read more This will be where I work out instead of the hotel gym every week when I am in town from this point forward. Weights: Small area in the corner of the gym. Obviously not really their target market. It was enough to get through a workout but not what I expect from a YMCA of this size. Cardio: The equipment was high quality. It probably was the most luxury treadmill I have stepped foot on. The rope climbing machine was new for me but wow was it an awesome burn. 3 minutes in to the rope climbing machine at the end of my workout definitely took all of my arm muscles and heart to exhaustion! Pool: Indoor and huge Atmosphere: Strong family atmosphere. It seemed they catered more to the family than the average gym goer. It seemed like a day care with a gym attached almost. Nothing against it but I don't have kids so the daycare wasn't needed for me.

I will say that I love the YMCA as a whole which is why this complaint is addressed to an indivudiual I am single mother of a 12 year old and for that reason I am currently on a scholarship at the YMCA. My daughter has been apart of the youth program since I started going and I must say I am truly disgusted at the experience that happened last week on 6/17. At 3 pm I received a call from Bradley Ruff who is over the summer program and the YMCA. When I answered the phone, he quickly stated to me "What time are you picking up your daughter" I replied is something wrong he then stated yes. He then proceeds to tell me that my child lied in regard to a sunscreen incident that took place the day prior. He stated to me that he took it upon himself to watch the camera and stated that she intentionally sprayed sunscreen in her eye. He then tells me that my child is disrespectful and she " walks the line" . I explained to him that I have had nothing, but good reports and I am not sure what he is talking about. I told him that I would address her in regard to the sunscreen incident he tells me that's not enough and she can't come back to the program. As I stated in the beginning of this complaint, I am a single mother and for him to make this decision that allowed me no time to find child care is completely disgusting to say the least. He even stated to me " we have worked with your daughter" as if he is doing me a favor and I should be grateful! Absolutely not! You are supposed to work with kids! That is your job! To make matter worst this past weekend my daughter was with my mother while she was pumping gas and on the other side was a white male counselor and my daughter saw him she quickly hid her face! She stated that he doesn't like her and yells at her! She also stated that he made her sit out for an entire 4 hours! The YMCA featured me on their page and highlighted that I was a single parent but yet kicked my daughter out of summer camp with no warning or time to find care?! I attended a TRX class at the Y and have been for the last two years which means I have spent a total of $1,080 alone for this class as a single parent! There was a incident two weeks ago where my daughter was in the gym with me, when we left out a rep at the front desk made it her business to ask my how old my daughter was ( mind you she was a few days from turning 12) she told me that she was not old enough to be in the fitness center. Well two weeks after that a white man and his son were in the gym and walked past the same rep that was at the front desk, yet she didn't say anything to them until I called it to her attention! There honestly needs to be some revaluating of the youth program , there are 16 year old working with 12 year old and it is obvious that they do not have the patience for a 12 year old! Brad also told me child to "get out of his office" and called her a liar! I will be cancelling my membership as well
